          Dusty Roads is Great!!!Jambo!!!
Dusty Roads Safari is the best local Safari tours in Arusha.. locally owned. Unmatched experiences I took a nine day Safari to Tarengerie, Ngorogoro and Serengeti and then stayed at Ngunwi beach in Zanzibar! Geoffery Mollel was my guide and he found everything! All the big 5 all the birds and cheetahs and herds of elephants and best hotels and Osero tented camp! All hotels excellent! I saw lions hunting Cape Buffalo.. I saw cute Dik diks and hyena and warthog smiling at me! I took the balloon ride in the Serengeti.. I bought Tanzanite and African carvings! I swam with dolphins! The price is reasonable my guide Geoffery catered to what I wanted to see! I danced in a Massai village and got beautiful jewelry. The beaches of the Indian Ocean there are breath breathtaking a ribbon of dark blue on top of a crystal clear glittering surface.. eels, pufferfish , huge starfish I love LOVED it!!!

A Dream Come True with Geoff and Dusty Roads
The services of Dusty Roads and guide Geoff far exceeded our expectations. We had been dreaming of a trip to Africa for many years. When a friend returned from Africa and enthusiastically recommended Dusty Roads and Geoff, we felt comfortable in hiring them for an 8 day safari. Communication with Mollel helped us determine an itinerary best suited for us and for the time of year for our trip. We were amazed by the September Great Migration in Northern Serengeti as well as the great number and variety of animals and birds we saw in Central Serengeti and in Ngorogoro. Geoff is an outstanding guide with many years of experience, great knowledge of African animals and birds and has a keen eye for sighting and identifying them. He is a wonderful person to spend 8 days with- patient, kind, friendly, flexible, punctual, enthusiastic and considerate. He is the BEST! The accommodations were all excellent with welcoming and friendly staff, delicious food and comfortable, spacious rooms/tents. We especially enjoyed the tasty meals at Osero Serengeti Tented Camp. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Dusty Roads and guide Geoff. We would certainly be happy to contract with them again if we were to return.

          Lovely safari with Geoff
Lovely safari with Geoff, he is one of the best guides I have ever come across. I requested him specifically because he came well recommended. As many others have mentioned he has an uncanny ability to spot animals even in the far off distance. He noticed a black rhino at about 100m away and a chacal which was only a tiny dot on a large plain. He knew the name of so many birds and animals which was extremely impressive. He also spotted a caracal crossing the road which I saw but couldn’t identify because it was running so fast. I wasn’t able to photograph it but I did see it when it was on the side of the road running deeper into the bush. Regarding my itinerary, it was good but I think perhaps it would have been good to have more advice on what each area of the Serengeti is known for so that I could tailor my stay more. In hindsight I would probably have wanted to see the northern parts and skip the crater. Regarding the lodgings, they were fine (except one which I really didn’t like because the service and amenities were not great). I stayed in a tented lodge and though it was fine, I think I’d probably want to stay in a different location next time because it was small and there were not many other people there, it would have been nice to meet more people. To be fair I am not fond of camping and it probably coloured my perception of the tented lodge. Thanks to the entire team for this experience!

Perfection... Nature trip of a lifetime!
Can't put into words how amazing this tour was! We had a custom made tour which the Dusty Roads team were very helpful in arranging for us. We spent time in the 3 national parks, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti and every stop along the way was beautiful and filled with animals. I was constantly blown away not just by the animals, but by the stunning landscapes Tanzania has to offer. The guide, Francis, was knowledgeable about both the animals and the environment and was a very skilled driver. We felt safe throughout the trip and alongside this he was respectful to the wildlife, getting us close for great pictures while ensuring the safety and respecting the animals. The hotels and camps we stayed in were all great, clean, organised and had great food at each stop! Each afternoon we met with Frances to plan the next day, and he was adaptable and helpful in guiding us to make the most of each day. Everything from a 3am airport pick-up through to the end of our tour ran smoothly. I can not fault this company and highly recommend them to anyone looking to explore Tanzania.

Bucket list - Experience of a Lifetime
My husband & I just returned from a 6 day safari hosted by “Dusty Roads” in Tanzania. Dusty Roads was recommended to us by friends who had done the same trip several years ago. It did not disappoint and was truly the experience of a lifetime. Right from our first contact with Dusty Roads- we were treated like old friends. We were greeted at Kilimanjaro airport and driven to Arusha - the safari capital of Tanzania. We had 2 days to unwind before the safari. The owner of Dusty Roads insisted on escorting us around the city during our stay- so we wouldn’t get bored. Lol On Monday morning, we were picked up at our hotel - and so it began. Our safari tour guide, Geoff, was very knowledgeable about the parks and the wildlife and his “eagle eyes” could spot any thing. From the early mornings, the long hot dusty afternoons to the serene peaceful Serengeti evenings, Geoff never tired of answering our many questions and has the patience of a saint. Geoff was very personable and he was so much more than a guide - he quickly became a cherished friend. The meals and accommodations were excellent. We especially enjoyed the Osero tented camp. Rachel & camp staff looked after our every need. The sunsets were beautiful, the tented lodge was so quiet & peaceful AND they had showers & a bathroom! At night you could hear the animals as they wandered freely about. Thank you Dusty Roads & staff for making this bucket list trip the experience of a lifetime! Until we meet again!

          Fantastic experience and fantastic outfitter
A trip of a lifetime, and I've had some pretty fine trips. First off, Dusty Roads came highly from several friends in Africa, and they totally lived up to the recommendations. Mollel was fantastic to work with in planning our custom adventure, and in dealing with a postponement due to air travel uncertainty post Covid. And if there is a safari guide Hall of Fame, Jeff should be in it. He was extremely knowledgeable, had resources for identification on the rare occasion when he wasn't sure of a species, and managed to find the fine line between both listening to us and using his experience to give us the best possible experience. Beyond that, he is just a great person and we really enjoyed our 9 days together. It was tough to say goodbye. We toured Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, the Ngogogoro Crater, and spent time at the Olduvai Gorge. Every single day we saw something we'll remember the rest of our lives. That includes all of the Big Five, plus many, many more, including a cheetah and a caracal. We watched a lion just barely miss a kill. Jeff has an uncanny ability to see and find animals. Our friends are birders, and Jeff was invaluable in seeing and identifying birds and taking the time for us to get good photos. The accommodation that Mollel arranged was great, and so was the food. We were especially impressed with the Osero tented camp. We also enjoyed the hot air balloon ride with Adventures Aloft. Bring some good photography equipment; you'll want more than your phone (although my phone came in useful for video in particular). I was glad to have 600 mm worth of telephoto. The days are long and sometimes there's a lot of travel on bumpy, dusty roads. Standing up in the safari vehicle for hours is more wearing than you might think. Speaking of vehicles, all of Dusty Roads' vehicles are in excellent condition. Everything worked and we had no concerns. Safari in Tanzania far exceeded my expectations and much of the credit for that goes to Dusty Roads. I recommend them without reservation.

The Dusty Roads 5-day Classic Tanzania Safari is a must !!
An excellent service provided by Dusty Roads for the 5-day Classic Tanzania Safari - with friendly, efficient and outstanding value for money. The company’s guide Francis was a very informative and patient guide - we quickly became a team of animal spottters working together with him - locating all of the ‘Big Five’ and in fact many more species than expected. In the three locations we visited - Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, the scenery and range of wildlife were breathtaking. In addition to the safari, Dusty Roads arranged five days in Zanzibar for relaxing on the beach. Throughout the 11-day vacation, the arrangements and connections worked really well. In fact, the range of hotels and safari camp selected for us by Dusty Roads were all of high quality and simply perfect for our needs - food and accommodation were excellent. Having experienced other safaris in Africa, we would unreservedly recommend this company.

Jeff has the "eagle eyes" with Dusty Roads Adventures.
Jeff has the "eagle eyes"!. He was a fantastic driver and tour guide. I did not like staying at The Green Mountain Hotel although the staff was very good. The internet was poor and our daughter had just had a baby that day so we were desperate to make contact. Oh well, c'est la vie, it all turned out. Jeff was an outstanding driver. He took us to the Nongorogoro look out, the Masai village and then on to the actual Serengeti. The Serengeti was breathtaking but it is not for the faint hearted. You will see stalking and death. It's an animal kingdom! The Osero tented camp, honestly it was the best meal I've had in Africa and I've been here a year! The tilapia fish was outstanding. The fellows there were wonderful. The tent was first class, gorgeous bedroom and bathroom area. We ended our vacation in Zanzibar staying at Waware Beach Hotel. Dusty Roads prepared the whole tour for us and it was wonderful the whole way around! While its not five star in hotels, the service is definitely five star. Everyone gave 100% attention to us and for that we are very grateful! Highly recommended.

A fantastic, professional, and experienced guide and tour company
Dusty Roads accommodated us (group of 3) really well, with good communication before the trip (9 days). Our guide, Jeff, was amazing. He made our trip so fun, exciting and was ready with all the information about the wildlife and answered all our questions. He exceeded our expectations and showed us so much and we got to experience the beauty of Tanzania and all of the big 5. He gave us lots of opportunities to see everything and taught us some Swahili. He was the best guide! Request him early as he gets requested a lot! The accommodation and food were better than I had expected! Great job, Dusty Roads and Jeff!

          Phenomenal experience
Dusty Roads put together a trip of a lifetime! The communication with the main office was prompt and professional. They came recommended by friends who had been on a safari the previous year so we felt comfortable and confident booking and paying in advance. Even though the safari vehicle seats six, it was just the two of us and our guide in the car. We asked about this and found out they typically book one car per group or family so you aren’t in a car with people you don’t know. Jeff was our safari guide. He did a wonderful job. He truly has an eagle eye! He can spot wildlife at great distances and his love of Tanzania’s flora and fauna is infectious. He seemed genuine excited to teach us about the animals and birds, even after many years as a tour guide. We appreciated that Jeff was always looking out for how we were doing and communicating with us about our plans what we wanted to do. His kindness is what made the experience so special. I can’t recommend Dusty Roads enough. Asante sana for a phenomenal experience.

Fabulous company to organise hiking and safari trip!!
Dusty Roads have been an absolutely awesome company that have organised both our hike up Mount Meru and safaris in Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro crater as well as all our accommodation and transport! The guides Abdul for Mount Meru (plus the porters and cook) and Geofrey for the safaris were excellent and very knowledgable! The accommodation in all locations were superb! This is an excellent company and HIGHLY recommend using them to organise your trip to Tanzania! Will recommend to friends and family and hopefully use again when we return! Asante sana 🙏🙏

Andrew- the best guide in the Serengeti
My wife and I were stuck without a driver and guide. Osero camp hooked us up with Andrew, and from then on our trip was perfect. Andrew knows every road and every great spot to find animals. We saw the wildebeest migration, when all others said it was the wrong time. Andrew was forceful in getting us the best viewing positions throughout Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. If you are looking for a guide, ask for Andrew with Dusty Roads.

          What a magical trip
This was the trip of a lifetime. Cannot say enough great things. Incredible guide in Jeff. He was so knowledgeable, very experienced, and by the end of the trip, he felt like a friend. He had amazing eyes, and could see things from so far away! The trip was very well organized, and everything went without a hitch. Our accommodations were beautiful. Every day we thought “this can’t be matched,” but every day was fabulous. Would also recommend the order in which we did things (Tarangiri, night safari (Lake Manyara), Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater. We then added on Zanzibar. There are insufficient superlatives to describe this experience.

          Best experience
Use this company. It is locally owned and operated. Our guide Jeff was beyond amazing and has binocular vision to spot animals we could never see. He was very knowledgeable about all of the parks and the animals. We felt safe and knew we were in good hands. Dusty Roads has made me want to visit Tanzania over and over again.

An amazing wild scenery, with unexpected surprises. Thanks to our guide Jeff (excelent and kind professional) we could spot lots of animals (ruminiants, elephants, lions, birds..) and learn a lot about them. We won't forget the massive baobabs. We strongly recommend this experience.

Returned a few days ago from a 2 day safari (1 day Tarangire, 1 day Ngorongoro crater). It was excellent! Jeff, our driver/guide was great at spotting animals, very friendly and helpful. The company was quick to respond to my messages and the lodge we stayed in (Eileen’s) was very comfortable and had excellent food. We didn’t see a rhino, but did see many lions and elephants and the whole experience is one I’ll hold dear forever.

We booked this safari with the Serengeti Safari Booking. Our safari guide named Simba made the two day trips a very memorable and fun filled experience. He was very informative and kept us eagerly looking for more and more as he filled us in about the history of the parks and interesting stories about different animals. He could mimic the different animal noises and it was so much fun watching as the animals responded accordingly! He taught us quite a bit of swahili along the way as well. A wonderful vacation.

Serene nature that leaves you in awe!
The multiple curved roads in the park that unfold different vegetations as well as animals entangled a very fun day.
