      Great Hike and Great Company
Martin our amazing host gave us an amazing tour of Teapot Mountain. He was the best guide who spoke English fluently and was doing it all! He drove, photographed us, took us through Jiufen and showed us how to hike the hardest part of Teapot Mountain trail. Would recommend for anyone who wants a good hike and amazing company! Also, we were the only ones that were with the guide and so it was a very private experience.

      Jiufen Old Road - Taipei
Lovely visit with lots to see and varied souvenirs to buy. A good mix of casual stores that are well presented and well priced. Loved the opportunity to sample local delicacies amid a flurry of international tourists. Roads are narrow with some good photo opportunities. Ablutions seem to be sparse and huge crowds developed after 18:00 at night. We bussed in and out saving a fortune and enjoying WiFi all at the same time! A worthwhile visit - easy to navigate around and rather exciting. Have the beef noodle soup - delicious.

      Fantastic experience!
We didn‘t really know what to expect at first but it turned into an incredible fun day! The tour guide Eva was super fun and friendly and took pictures the whole day for us, showed us around and told us interesting facts about different locations. We made dolls out of socks, took pictures on different locations with them, saw how noodles are made, tasted those noodles, helped planting tea trees and had a fantastic tea testing. Many thanks to Eva and Vicky who made this day unforgettable! :)

      Expensive day trip
Driver came to pick us up without knowing the programmes we paid for. This includes tea plantation visit , meeting tea master , noodle making and special tea noodle lunch. Supposed to have village walk , but driver said no car park space around to stop car. We had to contact tripadvisor coordinator to sort it out . Lunch was miserable , expected 4 of us to share a small plate of noodle. We said that the lunch were for 4 of us and not one, then only the driver ordered more noodles and chicken soup for us. Trying to cut and stinge on the cost. Cost us USD $440 for 4 . On the whole, meeting tea master and drinking tea was interesting and educational. Noodle making was interesting as well. Supposed to be 8 hours tour , but we finished in 7 hrs, 1 hr ahead of time and driver happy as he earn an extra hour free. Note driver drives too fast not to our liking and safety. And he drives with one hand with the other hand gesturing away as he talked. Told him to keep quiet over the curve and bends in the mountain roads. Need to watch out for him as he drove. Expensive educational tour.

      Great fun.
This is a short hike in a wonderful remote nature. But be aware there are many steep and slippery stairs, so it's not too easy. The tour guides were friendly and helpful. The group was diverse and really interesting. Nature was stunning. Really nice trip.

      Awesome unity with nature
The tour started by gathering in time & heading toward the Erge mountain hike trail. Tour guides were so helpful, patient responding to our questions, introducing & explaining the area. They were as passionate as other participant hikers. The nature was so refreshing to take you into a peaceful mind. All participants gathered afterward sharing a delicious Taiwanese hot pot food prepared by guides and that was with consideration to vegetarians as well ( thanks for them, we really appreciate the tasty lunch). We all enjoyed the friendly chat in between before heading back by the end of the tour.

Taiwan is beautiful and we enjoyed this new company!
We asked for a tea tour and a visit to Shifen Old Street. Our driver was Danny. He spoke very little English, but was a good and dedicated man. Traffic was tough because of it being New Years and he took some wrong turns but we eventually got to the tea plantation. It was a truly authentic tea experience. Non-touristy. We then went to Shifen Old Street and lit the prayer lantern and shopped. My family loved this. Although Danny didn't speak much English, he took many photos and sent us a video that night of all the photos combined! Huge shout-out to Danny!

      first class personalized service
My family booked Martin for a two day Taipei tour. Booked him after reading great reviews about him through trip advisor. From start to finish, it was a great experience. For the first day, We were able to go to Yehliu, Shifen, Pingxi and Jiufen. On the second day, we went to Yangmingshan, hotsprings and city tour. Martin took a lot of photos and compiled them nicely at the end. The group was mostly seniors but Martin was able to customize and adjust to their preferences. Highly recommended!

MARTIN LEE (THE BEST TOUR GUIDE YOU CAN FIND IN TAIWAN)
At first, I had no idea as to how am I going to explore Taiwan. I know that there will be some challenges because of the language barrier that is always present whenever i travel asia. i browsed trip advisor and luckily i saw some reviews about Martin Lee. I contacted him using email provided by previous customers and to my surprise, he replied right away. HE accompanied us in a 3 day tour and the reviews were all correct, Martin is the best local tour guide in taiwan. He made our stay in Taiwan great! He is excellent in english and that includes not just answering your questions in english, but also engaging you to a sensible conversation. He brought us to local stores which offer authentic local foods and dishes. The best part of the tour is the national park, we loved it so much. if you cannot speak Chinese, then Martin should be one of your considerations in doing your tour!

Fantastic taxi tour by Mr Martin Lee
This was my first trip to Taiwan. While there are plenty of private tour guides who would be able to plan the itinerary, book accommodation and drive the group around, I was not keen to switch more than two hotels, nor engage in an activity-packed road trip. On the flip side, I knew I did not want to spend the entire week cooped up in shopping malls in the city. My hubs chanced upon this local tour which I thought was perfect for our needs. We were fortunate to have Mr Martin Lee as our guide. He basically planned the itinerary for three out of the five days that we stayed at the W Taipei. Each trip from point to point was only 30-40 minutes, which was great when you have a young kid in the car, who would not stop asking “how many more minutes”. Some of the highlights of our trip were: 1. Brunch at the original Din Tai Fung along Xinyi Road, followed by giant mango snowflake ice dessert on Yongkang Road 2. Getting up close and personal with the natural geo formations at Yehliu Park 3. Lantern wishing at Shifen 4. Delicious and fresh seafood at the crab park near Yehliu 5. Finger-licking good urn-cooked chicken on our way to the cultural village (the grape jelly wasabi-like vegetable served on top cold tofu with century egg gravy was such a lovely treat!) 6. Terrific photo snaps by Mr Martin - I was thrilled to be able to have these memories which include the whole family (even the photo-taking phobic kid) as well as interesting scenery shots of our trip. Mr Martin spoke excellent English and Chinese, and offered interesting explanations on the places that we visited. He was perfectly capable to engage with us in various light discussions on world politics, environment, business and economics, and had a great sense of humor to boot! Mr Martin provided complimentary bottles of water and did not bring us to those commission-based tourist shopping places. He paid for some admission tickets while we paid for others. We enjoyed his company and it felt very natural to also invite him to dine with us. Overall, it was great fun and a completely stress-free way of getting a glimpse of Taiwan for a mere S$250 a day.

6 Hour Amazing Tour of Taipei with Martin Lee
After Disembarking our Princess Cruise, we decided to do an independent tour with Martin Lee with an airport drop off, and it was a fantastic decisions. Martin took us to the Shifen Waterfalls c/w lunch at a riverside noodle shop (delicious), then into the quaint town to fly the Sky Lanterns (basically you write your wishes/dreams onto the Lanterns and then release them into the sky), we also stopped for photo's on the suspension bridge, train tracks & then had chicken wings and Taiwan Beer (Mmm). Then it was off to the CKS Memorial just in time to see the changing of the guards. This memorial & square has some very beautiful Concert/Music halls, which look more like Temples, absolutely gorgeous. Then we went off to the Longshan Temple, which is another treasure, very colorful with Chinese Dragons everywhere & a very beautiful Temple, and finally a drop off at the International Airport right on time. Martin was an amazing guide, taking numerous pictures, showing us the local cuisine and some of the finest landmarks. We had a limited amount of time, but Martin did an awesome job showing us the best of Taipei. We highly recommend him as a tour guide. Top Notch!
