Spent here 3 hours for birdwatching. Saw very beautifull Peacocks & a lot of different other birds. Nishanta got us to the right spots to see as many birds as possible and provided us with homemade sandwiches, homegrown bananas & water. He did not know all the birds by name, but knew where to find them! ;-)

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, it covered key sites in Colombo. There was a good variety and very flexible. Nishantha was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly and good company. I really recommend the tour

Based on my previous experinces with Taprobane Tours and Travels, I'd requested them to organise an excursion for an international delegation I was visiting Sri Lanka with. The delegation was the Anglican Interfaith Commission of the Anglican Communion. We were a group of twelve from twelve countries of the world. I had wanted the very best for them to experience Sri Lanka during a very short visit. Nishantha organised a fantastic excursion for us. The finale of the Tour was a fantastic cultural show featuring many dancing traditions and styles from various parts of Sri Lanka. The members of the delegation were very impressed with the tour and ask that I add thier appreciation to mine in writing this review. It is very likely that some of the delegates would return to Sri Lanka to go on a tour with Taprobane free from the constrains of a formal visit. Taprobane Tours and Travels is the best!

Our white water rafting experience in Kitulgala Sri Lanka was one of the best experiences of our tour in Sri Lanka with Taprobane Tours & Travels. We were group of twelve friends from our church Youth Fellowship and our Pastor who went on this trip. It was simply fantastic with adventure, intrugue and excitment. The 1.5 hours trekking through the jungles of Kitulgala was a superbe experience. Beautiful water falls and scenery. We wish we had more time trekking. The guides were well-mannered and curtiuos professionals. The tour around Kitulgala which is included in the package was a bonus. We plan to go on this adventure again next year with the friends of the Youth Fellowship that missed out on this adventure.

Nishantha is an amazing tour guide, very informative and shows pure love for his country. Although the tour follows an itinerary he is very accomodating for your needs and can make simple stops and changes for you if you like, which we found very great! Once he gives you a thorough background and understanding of the destination he lets you go off and explore on your own. Nishantha would happily wait at his car for us while we went to get more photos which we loved! 10/10 tour guide, we would recommend him to anyone who wants a day trip to colombo without hassle. Not to mention the snacks he bought for us are sooo delicious!

For our Ruby Wedding Anniversary (30th) we went on Taprobane’s Romantic Escape arranged by Nishantha. The tour was filled with delightful site seeing, romantic outings, candlelight dinners and many more wonderful surprises that pleased all our senses. We were put in touch with Nishantha through a mutual friend in London the day before we arrived in Sri Lanka. He could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Only wish we had made contact before booking our holiday! He invited us to his home to discuss our needs and personally took us on a tour of Colombo the next day. His local knowledge and expertise gave us a great feel for this large sprawling city. The next day he transferred us to Sigiriya pointing out things and places of interest along the way.
