We were on a road trip with Dilan for a week travelling from Ella, through the Mountains, tea region, Kandy, Sigiriya up to Trincomalee. The car was clean, comfortable, and water and wifi was provided. Dilan helped us in advance with planning the trip, but also had a lot of recommendations of beautiful stops on the way from one destination to the next, that we never would have discovered. Also he was very helpful in answering questions about culture, history etc. This trip was not only a very comfortable mode of transportation, but also made us feel very welcome in Sri Lanka! Dilan is amazing. We booked a two week tour with him through beautiful Sri Lanka. The communication is easy, quick email responses and very good written and spoken English. The prices offered for the drive itself but also the accommodations is reasonable. He drives safely and has a good SUV, in which we were able to hit the road well. Dolan knows a lot of details and insights about the country, has very good recommendations on what to see, what to do and where to eat. He is flexible to adjust the route according to your wishes, helps to find upfront train tickets, and was always punctual. Along the road he stops to show you local cuisine, which we liked a lot. He has a very good sense of humor which made us laugh a lot and was a very pleasant Person to have around us. I can highly recommend Dilan as your tour guide for the next Sri Lanka Tip.

We went for a round trip in Sri Lanka with Dilan and our guide and driver. I highly recommend Dilan and visiting Sri Lanka. It is so spectacular as a country that you have to see it yourself! Dilan was always very knowledgable and helpful. He knows a lot of people and places, the small little tricks and places to go to, and the ones to avoid. We were more than happy with his services and we would like to return to Sri Lanka one day. When we do we definitely will ask Dilan for his services. We had an amazing trip around the beautiful country of Sri Lanka, accompanied by our driver & guide Dilan Fernando. Dilan's knowledge and experience made the trip even more special, and as it was just us and him we could all be flexible if necessary. Highlights were the elephant refuge and safari, as well as the climb up Adam's Peak to watch the sunrise. The personal side was rounded off by a memorable New Year's Eve spent with Dilan in Ella. Very much to be recommended.

Dilan met us at the airport and took charge of everything. He was helpful and welcoming without being intrusive and made sure that we got settled into our room in the hotel before leaving us with clear instructions about what would come next as he showed around Negombo, including a boat trip along the river with exotic wildlife and a surreal picnic of local fruits sat on stools on a sandbank. We knew then that out trip would be something different and special and so it proved as Dilan drove us around the island and its vast and varied range of sights.

From the very first message upon our booking we felt we were in good hands and our chauffeur didn’t let us down of that feeling throughout. Although we booked only the arrival transfer they were quite happy to accommodate our trips for the rest of the days at very short notice. For the first part of our trip we had Indra as our driver who was good company and had a great sense of humour. We felt very relaxed with him and discussed local knowledge, Sri Lanka's history and religion. Even with the time difference email's were answered promptly. We had never visited Sri Lanka before and were happy to take on advice regarding our planned itinerary. The safari guides he used were also fantastic. We stayed in many forms of accommodation, camping, tree house, riverside lodge, and as we requested, small family run hotels. We are already talking about our return trip, there is so much to see and do. Having used such an excellent comlany we will use them again and wholeheartedly recommend them . We had our second visit to Sri Lanka in March this year. On our first visit a couple of years ago we were lucky enough to meet Dilan and knew that if we visited again we would definitely want him to be our tour guide. Travel Dreams organised our whole trip (not the flights) taking into account the fact that we were travelling with parents and organising accommodation and activities to suit us all. Dilan was our personal driver and tour guide. He is totally reliable, friendly and I'm sure he knows everyone in Sri Lanka! Nothing is too much trouble. When I developed an irritating cough he produced a bottle of cough linctus for me. If we wanted to veer off the planned itinerary he would always try to accommodate us. It is lovely to be in a foreign country but feel like you've got your own personal interpreter and trouble shooter !!! Sri Lanka is an amazing country, there is so much to see and do and we intend to visit again in a couple of years. We will definitely use Travel Dreams of Sri Lanka again.
