What to Expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Hallasan National Park, Jeju, Jeju Island South Korea

Mt. Hallasan, one of the three “Soul Mountains” in Korea, is located in the southernmost tip of the Korean peninsular, and is the highest mountain in South Korea with the height of 1,950 meters above sea level. It has a variety of vegetation with academically high value, and has been protected as Mt. Hallasan Nature Protection Zone since it was designated as Natural Monument ( No. 182 ) on Oct 12th, 1966. The beautiful Jeju Island and Mt. Hallasan in ancient mystery has been recognized as a valuable natural heritage. Therefore, “Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes” were inscribed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage on June 27th, 2007 for the first time in Korea. With the certificate of World Geopark in October 2010, Jeju was awarded the triple crown in the natural science field by UNESCO.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Hallasan Seongpanak, San 137-24, Gyorae-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju, Jeju Island 695-811 South Korea

Generally, Saraak Spring at the 5.2 km point is the most difficult part of this trail. Once you get here, you’ll soon pass the Jindalrae Shelter at the 7.1km point after climbing up a mountain path edged with tall trees that block the sky. You’ll be fascinated by the scenery and from this point the trees become shorter and shorter until they finally disappear. Due to the steep slope of this path as it heads to Baeknokdam, you must be careful for the last hour and a half.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Gwaneumsa Trail, 588, Sallokbuk-ro, Jeju, Jeju Island 63242 South Korea

It is known as one of Hallasan Mountain’s most difficult courses due to its steep gradient. Nevertheless, professional climbers visit the Gwaneumsa hiking trail exclusively because it offers the most magnificent scenery on Mt. Hallasan and gives them excellent climbing practice. It is very interesting to see that the Tamna Valley has retained the original appearance of Mt. Hallasan and Gaemideung (ridge) offers magnificent mountain terrain at the cliff face, and a streambed made of lava and sedimentary rocks.
