The travel agent 'South India Travel' of Janakpuri, New Delhi charged me Rs. 33000 for 3 nights and 4 days tour of Dwarka and Somnath from 26th to 29 of January 2024. Inspite of my repeated requests, they did not bother to send me hotel reservation vouchers. After knowing the contact numbers from internet, I contacted the named hotels 'Hotel Gopal' at Dwarka and Hotel Dev inn at Somnath. They responded that they have booking for me. Did not tell me anything about payment by the travel agency. They did not say anything at the time of cheking in but asking me to pay at the time of checkout, since the agency has not paid. I stayed for two nights at Hotel Gopal in Dwarka. Nobody raised the issue of payment. While checking out on 28th, I was asked to Pay Rs.5000/ . With great difficulty I could contact the travel agent and make them pay. On the way to Somnath, Cab driver started grumbling for money. He was ready to throw us on the highway. Travel agent says, she can't arrange payment as it was Sunday (28th Jan). She requested me to pay that with an assurance that she will arrange refund within the first hour after opening of the office. After that she never responded to my calls. After reaching Somnath, verified with the hotel receptionist regarding the payment. He said, no issue. you can happily checkin. After coming back from temple at 10 p.m. hotel fellow asked to pay Rs.2500 as rent which I had to pay. Cab fellow disowned me after leaving me at Somnath. He is supposed to drop us at Diu airport for my onward journey to Mumbai from where I have to travel to Vijjayawada via Hyderabad. I can't lose my time. So, with the help of my Good Samaritan 'Make my trip' people arranged me cab to airport. I had to spend another 3000/. For a trip which doesnot cost more than Rs20000/, the travel agency 'South India Travel', same owner of the two hotels Gopal at Dwarka and Dev inn at Somnath, and Cab service provider Mr Gaziyani Vasim (owner of 5 star tours and travels) together cheated me spending Rs. 45000/ totally. They presented mentral torture throughout our trip. I am 69 and my wife 63 yrs. Imagine, the amount of agnony experienced by in the hands of these unscrupulous elements. This just to alert others that they be informed about these elements.

Great day with our English speaking guide. As a retired local school teacher, Sarah made our day very enjoyable and informative. Would happily recommend this day trip to a beautiful historical part of Korea. So glad we made the effort.
