Overview

If you’re short on time, tick off four of Israel’s top attractions with ease and efficiency on an 11-hour sightseeing tour from Tel Aviv. Avoid crowds by arriving early at the Church of the Nativity, believed by Christians to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ, and then explore Jericho, an ancient city in the shadow of the Mount of Temptation. Visit the archeological site of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and float in the salt-saturated waters of the Dead Sea.

What to Expect

Following pickup from the Grand Beach Hotel Tel Aviv at 6:30am, you’ll head straight to Bethlehem before the pilgrimage site fills with tourist crowds. Visit the Church of the Nativity, believed by Christians to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ, before you continue to Jericho by descending into the Judean Desert.

On arrival at the lowest city on earth, you’ll visit 9,000-year-old ruins dating back to the Neolithic period. See, too, the archeological site of Qumran, in whose sandstone caves the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest scriptures of the Hebrew bible, were discovered in 1956.

Your tour culminates with a visit to the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea, in which you can float and flounder until you’re dropped back in Tel Aviv at around 5:30pm.

Tour was a good amount for one day and covered interesting sites. The Bethlehem guide, George, was very good. The Dead Sea swimming site was good (facilities and beach were nice). There were a few rough edges. The communication about which bus to board in...More

Bus was over an hour late for pick-up; otherwise, decent tour.

Bus was very late for pick-up in the morning, and there was also a seat mix-up. Seems like the company doesn't have a good system for checking reservations, so what happened was some people had gotten on the wrong bus in Tel Aviv, meaning that...More
