The last few days have been wonderful. Driver Bayu picked us up at the hotel in the morning. During the days, he drove us everywhere. He told stories about the locals and Indonesia. He is very humble, kind and relaxed. On the last day, my girlfriend got sick. Bayu helped us with finding a hotel in Ketapang and translated everything to the lady of the reception. From the bottom of my heart, I am very grateful for that. The tour itself is also unique. We did a 3D/2N tour with Bromo and Ijen, starting from Malang. The sunrise at Bromo and the tour to Ijen are amazing. The hotels are basic, but you have to surrender yourself to it. You get up early every morning, so be fit! Communication with Smartine Travel went very fast and clear. I would really recommend this trip and definitely driver Bayu.

We chose the 2 days/2 nights option to climb Mount Bromo and Kawah Ijen. it was great! we were with Wildan, he gave us lots of explanations, he gave us time to enjoy (unlike other organized tours we saw), he was super friendly, didn't hesitate to take photos of us and helped us find a taxi in bali when he dropped us off at the port. Really, I recommend 1000%!! everything was planned

We did the 3D2N bromo-Ijen tour with Mull as our driver and guide. We really enjoyed this experience! The waterfall and volcanos were really beautiful. Mull was an excellent driver! He arranged everything for us and made sure we had everything we needed. He even arranged a little present for our honeymoon. We can really recommend this tour with Mull.

The staff is very friendly, they help provide the information needed.There are lots of tours to choose from, the staff will explain in detail, they always give the best prices

Nice trip with Didik. We visited Tumpak Sewu and Mont Bromo, he was a super driver from Malang to Surabaya. Nice to talk with him, very interesting to speak about Indonesian culture and way of life. Mont Bromo trip is great but the accommodation is not super confort (cold shower).

Dodo was the perfect driver and company for three days. Always smiling, very kind, helpful and on time. He gave us a lot of information about Java and took us to secret and stunning places. He checked us in and out of the hotels, bought tickets and drove around safely but still Indonesian style, which we enjoyed experiencing. He even arranged our pick up from the ferry on Bali. We would definitely book him again!!!! Thumbs up for Dodo - I wish there were more than 5 stars!

I COULDN’T ASK FOR BETTER. The trip went beyond expectations, everything was organized perfectly exactly as I asked. Perfect timing, comfort of the car, perfect accommodation, water always ready. Heri drives so well, he immediately made me feel at ease in his comfortable car. He is a very nice and kind person, he explained to me along the way many things about his country and many small details that made the trip special. He knows all the spot well and knows where to take you to avoid crowded places of tourists and let you discover special places. He is very sociable, with him I had the opportunity to talk to the locals even if we spoke different languages. Professionalism, punctuality but also many smiles and sociability.

We had an amazing time during our tour! The agency was super helpful, they added sunrise at Borobudur temple and drop off at the end of the tour in Ketapang harbor (ferry to Bali included) on our request. We spent one day with Agung in Yogyakarta while visiting the temples and the rest of the time in Malang and on mount Bromo with Didik. They're both super nice, friendly and qualified. They also speak a really good English so we had great conversations about local history and culture during our trip. Unfortunately Ijen was closed due to volcanic activities but the agency gave us immediately different new options to choose. We decided to visit Baluran National Park and we didn't regret it! We totally recommend this tour and agency!

The visit was well organized with a tour guide and a driver very friendly and helpful. They also help us with photos and videos! The visit was an amazing experience, the sunrise even more than the waterfalls. Very recommended!

I have mixed feeling but both our guide Didin and the volcano did the job! Ups: - Guide Didin very friendly. Was waiting for us at Surabaya station with some fruits. He gave us informations about Java, bought us some local fruits (coconut, sugar cane, snake fruits, etc) and he could show us the best spots at Bromo volcano. - we had a big van for our family of 4. Since we had a long road between Bromo and Ketapang harbour, we had a lot of space in the van. The kids could sleep after the very early wake up to see Bromo. - the sunrise views on Bromo are just amazing and are totally worth the early wake up. Downs: A little disappointed with the Smartline agency. - I had to remind them of my train tickets that they had to buy from Yogja to Surabaya - They did not inform us that Ijen volcano was closed though we had booked a 3 days/2 nights tour. By chance, I heard from a local guide in Yogja that the Ijen volcano was closed and I was the one contacting Smartline for an update. Luckily, I was able to modify our travel arrangements for the rest of our trip but I think that a travel agency should keep clients informed about such important informations. - The hotel that the agency booked for us was really low standard and badly situated due to a late booking on their side. Initially, they proposed Lava Cafe which is not high standard but right at the entrance of Bromo. Finally, we ended up in Lava hill resort which is at a much lower altitude which means that you need to wake up about 1 hour earlier!

We spent a magical experience at Bromo during the sunrise and the rest. A lot of people but because it was in July and during the week-end but still awesome and beautiful :-) Helios did the best to make us cumfortable. They borrowed us jacket for the cold, water, breakfast, snacks. Furthermore, I asked them for others tours/transfer in Java and they always answered to me and proposed me good advices and prices.

Very good service, well organized and a fantastic driver. We booked 3 days (Malang, Tumpur Sewu waterfalls and the thee plantation) with a drop-off in Surabaya. Great experience.

Dodo was a very kind and helpful driver, even though his English wasn’t always very good, he always tried his very best and showed us the best spots and highlights! Only the accommodation at Café lava hostel was a very basic, there is no heating so make shure that you take enough of wam clothes without you on the trip. The overall trip was very well prepared! We enjoyed it so much!

We did the 2 days 1 night tour - Bromo (sunrise and top of the volcano) and Ijen (with blue fire), and it was amazing ! Our guide Didin was very competent and we learned a lot of Indonesian words. The views were beautiful, our guide found a spot with less people at mont bromo and we felt safe at mont ijen. We had tea, coffee and fried bananas included during the tour. The hotel (ijen view hotel and resort) was great but we were really tired. Blue fire is not included, we paid 150k IDR, and it was so crowded that we did not really appreciated it, but the rest of the Ijen visit was amazing. Clothes : for Bromo you walk only 15min in a slippery path and then you wait for sunrise. For Ijen you walk way more (5km with 500m elevation) so it is way harder. For both of them it’s better to have hiking shoes and warm clothes. We did the tour at the end of June : on a weekend, during the Indonesian holidays and the start of european summer so there’s was a lot of people. But if you don’t do blue fire there will be less people.
