Highly Recommend the Secret Cycling Tour!
My parents and I spent a week in Bali trying to find authentic sites, food and people and were getting disappointed by how touristy most areas seemed to have turned into. On our second to last day we decided to try this cycling tour and I can't emphasize enough how good of a decision it was! It was absolutely everything we had been hoping for- not only is Mitja (the guide and owner) incredibly welcoming and friendly, he is extremely educated about the island and speaks multiple languages- spending the day with him made navigating the various temples, markets and restaurants easy and we learned a ton. By far this was my favorite day that we had, if you enjoy excellent food, a good work out and the more authentic side of Ubud, I'd highly recommend.

          Fun adventure
This was a fun, educating and sporty experience. We were cycling through rice fields, past temples, had lunch in local Warung. If the group is in, you can stop and meditate, stroll around and explore certain areas. The guide knows the paths well. Very recomended.

          SECRET TOURS BALI RULES!
I am not a person who likes to write long reviews, so I will describe this interesting experience as follows: An exceptional bike tour with quality mountain bikes, an above-average program, personally oriented with a limited number of participants, a very experienced and friendly guide. Recreationally and educationally set tour, which contains a lot of green nature and requires moderate physical fitness.

          SUSTAINABLE TOUR AND GREAT GUIDE
A few days before returning back home I took this bike tour. I encourage this kind of tour since they do not additionally burden the already polluted environment, namely we moved exclusively by bicycle and on foot. One of the advantages for me was the limitation of participates in 5 riders. We were only 3 participants on this tour and the creative guide was completely dedicated to us. I got some more instructive information about the island, tried out the jungle swing and even walked the shorter canyon. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few attractions, but very few other tourists, I have not seen such Bali before. Quite a rich itinerary for a reasonable price. When I come back in two months I can hardly wait to take a new more challenging cycling tour at Secret Tours Bali with my brothers. Keep up the good work!

Unique experience in the heart of Bali.
As a sporty person myself, I was looking for a tour that would get my heart rate up whilst exploring hidden areas in and around Ubud, learning more about the culture and tasting local cuisine.Safe to say- that is exactly what I got! Definitely a highlight during my stay in Bali. If you're like me and want to combine exercise, exploring new and non touristy spots around Ubud then you're in for a treat. A huge thank you to Mitja, the founder of Secret Tours Bali, who made this a unique experience that I'll never forget. I will be back!

          Eco-friendly way to explore Bali
I have known the guide for many years, we met on Togean Islands when he traveled by bike in 2013. We met again this year during my holiday inBali. When he told me that he guides cycling tours with a local company and invited me to join I jumped at the opportunity. I have been to Bali many times and prefer enviromentally friendly activities, such as walking, cycling and trekking. I immediately booked a tour. Other than being able to spend the day with a good mate, I really enjoyed the tour and learnt new things about beautiful Bali. (I've been travelling in Bali since 1983). I had no idea the Bali i feel in love with nearly 40 years ago still existed. As an active 61 year old I was happy to partipate in something good for my health and soul. I absolutely loved it and was impressed with the equipment provided; bike, helmet and plenty of drinking water. The tour also included breakfast and lunch, fruit, the entrance fee to a ancient temple and a wonderful jungle swing.I also particularly enjoyed the waterfall and rice terrace walk. So the tour does require some level of fitness but if a pensioner can do it everyone can! Professional and friendly guidance throughout! I recommend this tour and company to anyone who wants to see a real Bali with out impacting on the environment.

          Pleasant Recreational Surprise
My friend, her daughter and I recently took this tour. We had a great time and did something beneficial for ourselves, enjoyed the beautiful nature and learned many new things about Bali and cycling from a friendly guide. Since I have not been cycling for a while, I was quite tired, but I am not sorry I’ve joined at all and I would be happy to do this tour again. KATARINA

          Tropical dream!
I can say that this was the best thing that happened to me on my vacation in Bali. On this tour, they showed me a different Bali than most tourists see, and I did some exercise. I don’t think it’s possible to see and learn more things about Bali in 6 hours. The guide turned out great and revealed many secrets about the island. In addition to fond memories, I also brought home spectacular photos that make me look like Eve on a lonely tropical island due to the absence of other tourists. Thanks for the experience and in any case, I recommend it.

          Amazing experience!
Something special! I'm a participant of the Darmasiswa program in Yogyakarta. For Christmas holidays I visited a friend in Bali. Her boyfriend works at a local cycling company and he invited me for a bike tour. Although I'm not a cyclist, the tour was absolutely wonderful! It is difficult to describe how many things I have come to know and see in just seven hours. For the first time in my life, I also overcame my fears towards adrenalin activities and took part in jungle swing over a deep jungle valley that was included in the price. The tour is carefully designed as it involves many areas and not just cycling. We visited a coffee plantation, a traditional garden, a historic temple, walked the rice terraces, visited at least 4 waterfalls, walked through the jungle, tasted fruit on the market and ate delicious food in a nice restaurant. I think this tour is suitable for people who want activities , but also want to know as much as you can about the island in one day. After the tour I was exhausted, but satisfied and would recommend it to others. Petra

That is MUST DO in Bali
A large dose of nature and much more! I love cycling and nature trips, but I am limited here because of working in Jakarta. On an extended weekend in Bali in December, I signed up for this tour through tourist info in Ubud. I could describe the tour as a balm for body and soul, we cycled mostly through the quiet village trails, rice fields and remote roads with beautiful views. During the tour we also took a look at the historic temple, walking along the beautiful green river valley, along the rice terraces and through the jungle to the beautiful waterfalls. I got a big dose of green nature that calms me down and a bit of an adrenaline rush while swinging over the 200m deep jungle valley. Otherwise, they provided us with a good deal of delicious food, drinks, fruits and a wealth of genuine information. I think the advantage of this tour is the limited amount of participants, as we received a lot of attention and information from an experienced guide. I can't wait to go back to Bali again and take part in some of their tours, I got the information that new cyclin tours are already preparing. Thanks to the organizers for their professionalism!

          Bali Cycling Tour
An unforgettable experience! A friend invited me to this bike tour led by his acquaintance. Being in Bali for the first time, and staying in the touristy and bustling Changgu, I was fascinated by the beautiful nature and the remote trails we cycled. There were almost no other tourists at the sights where we stopped and we had a lot of opportunities for dream photos. For the first time, I strolled through the rice terraces, learned about the subak irrigation system, saw the coffee-making process, caressed luwak, visited an old Buddhist temple and tried unknown tropical fruits at a traditional market in a local village. I did not dare to swing, but instead I could drink a cup of the most expensive luwak coffee in the world. It was an indescribable experience for me, a great guide to make sure I fell in love with this beautiful tropical island. I would love to repeat the tour again, I hope to return to Bali as soon as possible!

          Our best experience
This tour provided the most interesting day of the seven we spent on Bali. After being picked up at our hotel, we were driven to a Luwak coffee farm for breakfast, a short presentation, and then the opportunity to take a turn on a “Giant Swing.” Then a final fitting on our bicycles and we were off. Metja, our guide, has been cycling around Southeast Asia for the past twenty years, based in Bali for much of that time. He has a great understanding of the surrounds of Ubud, and speaking flawless English, we were able to understand all his answers to our questions. After a short stint on paved roads our small group was led off the roads and onto the paths of working rice fields. As we rode, Metja explained “Subak”, the water irrigation system for rice paddy fields in use since the 9th century. Then we left the bikes and hiked down through the fields, finding large stone steps continuing to lead down. Then we were walking between high sheer stone walls that led into an old temple complex. It was magnificent and we were alone, almost unheard of on Instagram Bali. After retrieving the bikes our tour continued, until we pulled into the courtyard of a Balinese restaurant, where we were the only foreigners. We could not believe our good fortune. We sat at tables in covered gazebos and enjoyed a delicious meal, even as a rainy season squall dropped buckets around us. Last stop on our tour was a ride, then a hike down into a valley to experience two beautiful waterfalls thundering in front of us. If you are active physically and wish to see wonderful sights of Bali that few other visitors do, I highly encourage you to book this tour. You can thank me later.

          Challenging but Rewarding
This was exactly the tour we were hoping for. We wanted to experience the real Bali, not the tourist Bali and this tour delivered. My husband (68), myself (61) and our 26 year old daughter biked and hiked through quiet villages, visited hidden waterfalls, canyons and a temple. Mitja expertly guided us through the tour both physically and with great knowledge of the area, history and culture. We stopped for lunch in a quiet paradise garden restaurant where we enjoyed truly authentic Balinese cuisine. I highly recommend the fried sweet fish. This tour was the best thing we did during our stay. I'm incredibly happy we came upon it. I mentioned our ages to say that that it is doable for us older folks as well. We are not perfect physical specimens but we were fit enough for this challenge and Mitja was very accommodating to our need to break and our daughter's need to shop.

          Adventurous and safe!
Recently, I came to the realization that physical activity is crucial to the optimal balance between physical and mental health. Now I use every spare time actively, and I became especially excited about cycling. Since I spend most of my time in Bali myself, I know the guide personally, so my friend and I attended his tour at the end of this week. I have already attended similar tours in Myanmar, but I can easily say that this tour is special and incomparable. During my ten years in Bali, I have not found such beautiful and remote places that give you the feeling that time has stopped, I was particularly impressed by the magical valley of the Pakerisan River and the ancient Hindu temple. The program is well prepared as it includes not only activities but also other areas such as local cuisine, local life, jungle swing, lecture on the subak irrigation system, history and the abundance of green nature. I myself wanted more demanding cycling and more physical effort, but as Mitja said, it is possible to change the tour at the request of the participants. In this case, the start point could be at the other location so that we would cycle more uphill. We agreed to repeat the tour starting in Ubud next week, cycling an additional 400 meters elevation. After a delicious lunch, it started to rain, so, unfortunately, we did not see waterfalls at the end of the tour, but cycling in such conditions would not be meaningless and dangerous. Mitja had a solution for such a case, as we could choose another remote road with a beautiful panorama, we overtook a big storm and enjoyed a 12km descent to Ubud in light rain. Cycling in the rain felt refreshing so I didn't even want to wear a rain jacket that Mitja has offered. I quite liked that last part of cycling since it was adventurous but still save. The bike I had in use was almost new and perfectly tuned, and riding it was a pleasure. Mitja is a great guide who is 100% dedicated to his clients. I strongly recommend this tour to all nature lovers who are at least medium prepared! FRANJO

          Very good tour guide!
Tour was designed for every taste. There was a mix of sport, cultural input, waterfall, temple, rice fields. It began with a nice breakfast, than we head off on a pro bicycles. Guide Mitja had a broad knoweldge of the land, was easy to talk to and gave me a deeper insight of the local culture and mentality. I recommend to people who would like to directly get an authentic experience. Thank you😊🥰
