- GuntherP330 contributionsGreat cycling tour in Ubud.We had a truly delightful experience with Darsa Adventures. Our guide, Wayan, was very enthusiastic. He shared a great deal about the surroundings and life in the environment of Ubud, and he is highly recommended.Written August 21, 2024
- N2786NMalisonb0 contributionsDownhill rideAmazing views over the volcano and lake at our starting point. Wayan provided a tailor made tour to suit our cycling abilities. A wonderful visit to the coffee plantation where we tasted the local coffee and had breakfast, then onto the rice fields and a traditional home.Written April 21, 2023
- jakobssonjohan10 contributionsGreat day exploring outside of UbudGreat day with Wayan as a guide. Unfortunately fog at Kintamani but after some downhill it cleared up. The stop at the coffee plantation was nice, and great with some tasteing! Great day to have a look on the countryside and rice fields.Written January 7, 2023
- BaliBombres0 contributionsAmazing Ubud bike tour! This is a fantastic day out with teen kids (group of 4 adults, 4 teens). After a 7.30am pick up from our resort in Legian we drove over an hour to Ubud - lots of eye candy on the way. The tour stopped at a coffee farm where you'll have a guided tour showing local cropping plants, animals and tea and coffee tasting. Next stop is via Mt Batur (option at no extra charge) then onto the bikes. The tour is 99% downhill or flat but that 1% is a doozy! You'll stop at a traditional Balinese home and our guide, August, did an awesome job telling us about Balinese traditions and family life. My 17yo son told much how much he loved this! So many great photo opportunities and at the end a very welcome hearty and delicious lunch. Great day out, a definite if you want to see some countryside and learn more about life outside the busiest tourist zones.Written December 17, 2022
- 547olafe0 contributionsVaried day with good guidanceNice variety in the program: visit to coffee plantation, view on Mount Batur, bike ride and lunch. Our guide was very attentive during our tour. Lunch buffet was more than enough to choose from. Biking was relatively short and 90% downhill, therefore not very challenging. Maybe some more explanation/stops during the biking or make the route a bit longer.Written September 28, 2022
- petite_sardine860 contributionsFantastic!!We absolutely loved our day cycling with Wayan, such a unique and special way to experience Bali and local life. You get to experience and see so much on this tour. It was the highlight of our trip! Highly recommendWritten August 20, 2022
- 734rosannap0 contributionsWonderful tourWe had the best day on this tour. Everything was easy in terms of pick up and drop off to our hotel. The coffee plantation was fabulous - lots of teas and coffees to try for free and the Luwak coffee was delicious. The bike tour itself was brilliant. Wayan, our guide, is a lovely human being who consistently checked that we were going okay - particularly me who isn’t super confident on bikes. The riding was easy - basically all down hill on quiet streets. We rode through beautiful countryside, got to see temples and a traditional compound. It was the perfect way to explore the area. Wayan was very informative and we left the tour feeling like we better understood life in the villages. The lunch at the end was outstanding. Traditional Indonesian food in abundance. I have a nut allergy and everyone carefully catered for that. We couldn’t recommend this tour more highly!Written July 10, 2022
- lucasblack10 contributionsAmazing! The people were amazing! They picked us off and dropped us off. Our guide was so kind and helpful. The food was amazing and the views were great!!! I highly recommend it was one of the best things I’ve done in my life. Be cautious with bringing children with you as one part the tour is on a busy road and can be very dangerous.Written June 12, 2020

- michaelcV7805BD0 contributionsBali Rocky Bicycle TourOur family of four adults did the cycling tour. This included visiting a coffee plantation followed by a late breakfast and then a 25km bike ride with a late lunch to finish. The ride was mostly down hill through an attractive rural area. Well paced ride with regular breaks to discuss local features. Guide was pleasant and informative. Luwak coffee plantation visit was interesting. Breakfast was average although the views were spectacular. Lunch at the Tepi Sari Restaurant was a highlight.Written December 31, 2019
- slaterfamily10 contributionsGreat way to see UbudOur two families spent a fabulous 5 hours today with Gede our bike and tour guide! The ride itself was fun, mostly downhill, thankfully - but with enough variation to keep it interesting i.e. back roads, single tracks and rice fields. Lunch in particular was a standout. Gede was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, who took the time to explain many of the cultural sights and the daily life of local Balinese. Definitely recommend.Written December 30, 2019
- Kimpayne820 contributionsEasy fried for familyDedut tour guide speaks English, we had no problem with the ride mostly flat or down hill stopped at a school , rice field and local villagesWritten September 19, 2019
- Isaman70 contributionsBali rocky bicycle tourI did the bali bicycle tour with dedut. The say began with me being picked up from my accomodation and then a scenic drive to a coffee plantation. Dedut explained in depth the procedure of the lewuk coffee beans and showed the team a cacao bean. We then tried a variety of teas and coffees overlooking the beautiful jungle. 14 drinks to be exact. Including ginseng, ginger, cacao, vanilla and more. Then we had the chance to try chocolates. Chilli, orange, ginger, dark and cappuccino chocolate. We then left for a drive further up the mountain where we could see mount batur to our right. We had buffet lunch at a restaurant while overlooking the beautiful mount batur. After lunch we drove towards the area where we began our bike ride. We biked down a good 2 hours seeing the nature, rice fields, temples, architecture, locals and friendly children. Dedut rode carefully and took time for breaks to explain history, knowledge and to have a chat and get to know us. When we finished the bike ride we had another lunch with fruits for dessert on an elevated restaurant overlooking the jungle. Overall a great experience and worth the 450,000rp payed. Lastly, we were dropped back to our accomodation.Written September 5, 2019
- J_McWanderer0 contributionsBrilliantThis was excellent fun, great value for money, and an experience we won’t forget. I think a little ability in bikes required, I coped fine after many years of no cycling but I had loads of experience racing bikes as a kid that I was thankfully able to draw upon. I think guides avoid trickier routes depending on the group. Took a 12yr old, only one bit (heavy messy traffic) where I had to “take charge” of him, though cycling in that traffic an experience too! Really lovely guide. And we enjoyed the lunch at the endWritten September 1, 2019
