        Other worldly!
Ijen is totally worth the effort to get there. Over looking the crater at sunrise was something very special. The travel from Ubud is long, 4 hour taxi, 30 min ferry, another 1 hour taxi. It was tiring but honestly we felt it was completely worth it! At the top it is was windy, so lots of dust but again did not change my experience. Clear glasses/goggles would have been good to have. If you are looking for a more dramatic trek, this is the one to go for

        Amazing tour, thank you Wisnu!
We had a wonderful time on our trip to Bromo from Bali. Wisnu Saputra was an excellent driver, he stayed with us for the entire trip and helped us for every need we had. The trip to Ijen was canceled just two days before the trip because the site was closed, but we were offered to go to Tumpak Waterfalls after Bromo instead, and it was an amazing surprise. We highly recommend the tour and we thank Wisnu for the great experience!

        Amazing views, amazing tour!
Had an amazing tour of Ljen and Bromo with GEDE. He was very professional, kind, and accommodating. The hikes on this tour are quite strenuous and the pace is rather quick, so I wouldn't recommended for anyone looking for a leisure tour. Other than that, I would highly recommend this to anyone.

        Abang Gede
It was a good 3days 2night spent with Abang Gede. He brought us to Dolphin Swimming, Mount Ijen as well as Mount Bromo. He always waited as there were 4 of us so we were kind of behind time each time. He also brought us to local food places for us to try. He is a very smooth and steady driver as well, allowing us to be at ease and get the rest we need.

        Happy all the way :)
I did the mount Ijen trip with my boyfriend, and it surpassed all expectations. From the seamless organization to the impeccable service, we were amazed every step of the way. It all started with our very nice and careful driver, who picked us up early and made sure we were alright all the way. Huge thank you to you Gede! From being picked up at our hostel to the ferry ride to Java and throughout our stay, we felt well taken care of. Our tour guide at the mountain, Gun, was truly exceptional, making our experience unforgettable. The sights, especially the breathtaking blue fire and the turquoise lake, left us in awe. We even had the privilege of enjoying them without the usual crowds, making it even more special. This trip was an absolute highlight, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable adventure.

Bali to Surabaya. Ljen Volcano, Tumpak Sewu and Mt Bromo
I was initially nervous about this trip as booked via WhatsApp a little blind and was told I was going to be picked up at my hostel at 7pm the following day. I shouldn’t have been nervous however as the trip was so well organised and efficient. My driver to the ferry from Bali to Java arrived early to collect me. I was then collected and escorted on the ferry to Java and picked up at the port. At no point was I alone. Everything in Java was equally as efficient, drivers were safe and cautious, car comfortable and exceptionally clean. Hotels great and the local guides they used were excellent too. Can’t fault this tour at all. Dropped off at my hotel at the end too. Would recommend. The view from the hotel for the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall was amazing. The sights themselves were stunning, we managed to miss the crowds at the waterfall which was a special experience

        Amazing experience!
Amazing experience! What a trip! Started with pick up at Ubud with our amazing driver Komang which was very attentive to our needs all the way to the boat. It is a long drive but traffic was on our side around 4 hours. Once there we were helped by a lady to cross to Java. Once there we had the friendly Andrew and Ismail who were the best! They took us to get the medical letter and to the mountain tracking start point. we had some coffee and we begin the tracking with our guide Reza. The tracking is more difficult than expected but 200% worth it. Even if not a weekend day it was busy but thanks to our guide we got ahead and had time to see the blue fire as well as the sunrise on top of the mountain. Our guide was so attentive as the way down to the blue flame can be challenging. If you listen to him no issues safety was. He took some nice pictures and we had a really good time. The return down is not easy. I think you need a good fitness level but some people offer carry up and down service for people that struggles so everyone can access. Overall we had everything included from breakfast (they gave us vegetarian but you need to ask before hand) to water and coffees and entry fees and boat ride. I recommend the private tour like we did for a better experience. Terima Kasih to all the amazing guides and drivers that gave us this experience.

A strenuous hike rewarded by the most beautiful sunrise
Incredible experience. Our highlight was the hike to Ljern. While the hike was strenuous at parts, the views up top was breathtaking and worth every step. Our Ljern guide, Chris was fantastic and brought so much energy to our hike. We also want to thank our amazing driver Gede. He was so accommodating and such a trooper. We are so grateful to have been accompanied by such kind and helpful guides on this trip.

      I really enjoyed this tour.
Our driver picked me up on time in front on my hotel and we arrived under the mountain around 3:30am, we got our water and flashlights and immediately started hiking.
I would just like to give everyone who is thinking about joining this tour little advice.
Please don’t wear your flip-flops. This terrain is difficult to climb even in normal hiking shoes or trainers. Wear something warm because even though it’s warm under the mountain, soon it’s getting colder and up the volcano is pretty chilly in the morning. If you have ever climbed a mountain you will be fine. But the way (at least 1 hour) is really steep and even though the guide is willing to do few stops he can’t wait for you for too long because he need to take the group up on time to see sunrise. If you find out that you cannot make it there is always a motorbike waiting around to take you up but you need to pay 300 000rp and still walk the last steepest part on your own.

I really like the hike and it was amazing to watch the stars over us. Our guide Tri was nice and really patient with the slower hikers. Breakfast (eggs and toast with banana) was also good and really needed after such an early morning. And the view was excellent. 🌅

Awesome experience, my driver Mr. Wayan picked up me from hotel at Seminyak around 1:30am, he was 20 minutes early and waited for me patiently :), on the way to Mount Batur, he showed all the places where I can visit during my stay. He was very nice and a skilled driver, we reached base camp around 03:00am.

Started the trekking with a french couple and Tri (our guide) around 3:30am, I must say Tri is a very experienced and professional guide who made sure everyone in the group trekking together and stopped at many place on the way for us to catch our breath. Tri also took many amazing photos and provided us delicious breakfast (much needed after 2 hours of trekking) and choose best place for us to enjoy the sunrise view.

Tri was my guide, lovely lady in her 50s (amazingly fit, single mum).
      Beautiful rewarding sunrise, def recommended.
Tri kindly gave us lots of breaks along the way. Tiring enough to feel you accomplished something, but not tiring enough to make you hate yourself
      Total distance 10.5km return
Terrain: initially road/pavement, then rocks for the second 50%.
You can ride a motorbike up (350K rupiah) or down (250k rupiah). Or a jeep. Jeep wont take you the whole way but high enough to enjoy sunrise i reckon.
Steep terrain so motorbikes may be a little dicey, esp at the rocky parts. Hire according to your risk tolerance :)
Bring a jacket / hoodie as its cold at the top!
The hike down is slippery due to loose sand and stones, recommend a hiking stick or two if youre into those. Wear proper hiking shoes or sneakers. Rice paddy views on the way down too.
Coffee, sandwiches, snackbars and hard boiled eggs served up top by Tri - much appreciated
Theres also a surprise volcanic hot spring part at the top.
      Great view.
Personally i slept in til 6pm the day i was going, and felt that kept my energy up throughout the hike!
Nice small grp of 3 pax - met some friendly travellers from elsewhere which made it more fulfilling
Torches provided. If you like, bring a headlamp.
The route down was sunny. Had a visor which i absolutely recommend. Sunscreen too.
Started around 330am, summit around 545am
      Left villa 145am
Got back to my villa in Seminyak 1030am on sat (some traffic)
      Enjoy!

This was a great hike to the summit of Mount Batur. We were contacted by Wayan the day before to confirm pick up point at our villa. We were then driven promptly to the base of Mount Batur at 2:30am and began our hike with the amazing Jro at 3:45am.

Jro was friendly and attentive, always making sure that we were not too far behind and checking if we are okay and needed breaks. He provided us with torch lights and offered us walking sticks for the journey up.

When we finally got to the North summit, it was a bit chilly so Jro made sure we were seated inside a small room/building before he went to make a nice breakfast for us, he also showed us how the eggs were cooked by the heat of the mountain.

The sunrise finally came and it started off a little cloudy but when the clouds finally dissipated, the sun was so big, bright and close to us that it made the hike all worth it. It was truly beautiful and Jro helped us take many nice photos with the sunrise.

We then took a easier and more scenic route downhill, where Jro showed us views of Batur lake and brought us through beautiful onion fields. We had a lovely chat about life in Bali and Jro’s life as a trekker. It was a great time. Jro comes highly recommended.

we decided to book very last minute and everything was organised incredibly well, we loved the driver they organised for us and our guide Tri was the absolute best! Very thoughtful of us on the hike and provided warm drinks and the best positions to view the sunrise/crater/took brilliant photos of us with no complaints! However definitely recommend taking warmer clothes for the waiting portion of the sunrise, it’s cold up there!

I had an amazing experience with Mont Batur trekking, all thanks to our incredible guide, Tri! From the moment we started the trek, Tri's enthusiasm and expertise shone through. She was so patient and attentive, making sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and confident throughout the journey.

The trek itself was breathtaking, and Tri's knowledge of the area and the local environment added an extra layer of excitement to the experience. She shared fascinating insights about the surrounding nature, making the trek even more enriching.

When we finally reached the summit, we were in awe of the stunning view that awaited us. Tri had planned it perfectly, and we were lucky enough to witness a mesmerizing sunrise from the top. It truly felt like a "first-row" seat to nature's spectacular show!

I can't emphasize enough how much Tri's guidance and encouragement meant to all of us. Her professionalism and care for our safety were evident at every step, and she made sure we had the best trekking experience possible.

If you're considering Mont Batur trekking, I highly recommend having Tri as your guide. Her passion for her work and her ability to create unforgettable memories will undoubtedly make your journey truly special. Thank you, Tri, for an incredible adventure!

We had a really enjoyable experience! The guide, Tri, has been doing this for many years and she knows how to adjust pace of the climb to perfectly fit everyone in the small group. She also picked best spots for sunrise pics and took loads of them for us and didn't mind taking us a bit around the crater after sunrise when we wanted to explore. The breakfast was basic but very refreshing. We also got a small bottle of water each at the start. I can definitely 100% recommend this tour.

We did this tour as a group of 5 and safe to say it’s been the highlight of our trip. Tri was our guide and really looked after us, checking up on us and letting us stop regularly to catch our breath. At the top, she got us coffee, tea and food as well as getting all the best photo angles and showing us the hydrothermal vents of the volcano. Would definitely recommend this to anyone on holiday in Bali and try to get Tri as your guide!

10/10. We went in a small group of four and our tour guide name was Ketut - he made the experience even better as he was friendly, happy to talk with us and answered any questions we had about Bali and it’s mountains. He got us up to the summit early enough to get a good spot so we could watch the whole sunrise, then made us breakfast and showed us around the rest of the caldera. Didn’t rush us to come down so we could do it in our own time. Thanks Ketut 👏🏻👏🏻

We booked this mount batur sunrise hiking in advance and everything went accordingly to the plans they provided, it even went past our expectations. The pick up was perfectly on time and the travel was comfortable. After 1h/1h and a half drive we reached the parking by the lake and there we met Ketut, our guide for the hiking. We wouldn’t say anything new describing the beauty of the place and the magic of seeing the sunrise from the summit (eating a delicious breakfast). But what we really want to say is thank you Ketut for showing us the beauty and kindness of your culture, you were the perfect guide for this trip. Thank you ketut :)
