- lungki640 contributionsAlways reliable, professional and affordable.Recently we travelled from the Sideman region, at the foot of Mt Agung, to Kuta, on our way to the airport. Bali Ubud Tour was extremely flexible, and taylor made a tour to our specifications. Ayan, our very professional guide, toured us through mountain villages and rice terraces, providing a fascinating commentary about local history, geography and culture. He chaparoned us through a traditional temple, before arriving at the coastal resort of Padang Bai. We finished our holiday with afternoon tea at the famous Poppies Restaurant - a garden cafe in Legian. As always, Bali Ubud Tour handled our travel and tour needs with reliable professionalism. Thankyou Wayan, Ayan, Kadek and all the staff, at Bali Ubud Tour.Written December 16, 2024
- lungki640 contributionsFast and efficient transfersI can't recommend Bali Ubud Tour highly enough! Whether its a fast and efficient airport transfer, or a more elaborate private tour, this company delivers every time! Santika Wayan's fleet of private vehicles, with experienced drivers, will transfer you and your party to your initial location, no matter where on the island of Bali. Transfers can also be reliably arranged for the neighbouring islands of Lembongan, Ceningan and Penida. With extremely affordable pricing and attention to detail, I continue to be impressed by Bali Ubud TourWritten December 16, 2024
- NancyM13610 contributionsGreat Tour and GuideI booked a last-minute private tour during a public holiday in Bali, and despite a few unexpected challenges, it was a great experience. Our guide skillfully navigated roadblocks caused by ceremonies and even had an umbrella ready when it rained at one of the temples. My only suggestion is to communicate potential disruptions, like road closures or temple access issues, beforehand—this would help travelers manage expectations. For instance, after visiting the rice fields, we had to change our schedule and missed one temple, but ended up at two unique spots, one less touristy and the other quite popular. Overall, I’d recommend them for their flexibility and local knowledge. Just be sure to check for any holiday-related disruptions in advance!Written November 9, 2024

- V9574QQestherv0 contributionsThe heart and soul of BaliI had the most amazing experiece with Kadek and Dewa as my drivers in four different tours around Bali. They made It possible for me to see Bali through their eyes, the richness of their culture, their traditions, their religion. They made me forget I was just a tourist taking lovely photos, they showed me the soul of Bali and the Balinese people. And for that I will be grateful all my life.Written September 21, 2024

Good price and worth every penny! 💗
I recently attended a cooking class in Ubud, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! From start to finish, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. They were not only knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing their culinary expertise, which made the class even more enjoyable.
The class itself was well-organized and fun, filled with hands-on activities that allowed us to learn about traditional Balinese cooking techniques. I loved every moment, from selecting fresh ingredients at the local market to preparing delicious dishes that we got to enjoy at the end of the session.
I also want to give a shout-out to our driver, who was friendly and punctual, ensuring we arrived at the class with ease. The entire experience was seamless and memorable, thanks to the fantastic team.
If you're looking for a fun and educational cooking class in Ubud, I highly recommend this one! It truly was a highlight of my trip, and I can't wait to try making these dishes at home!

Wayan and Katut were so friendly, welcoming and helpful! They were very keen to share their culture and answer all my questions. I’m so grateful they were happy to tell me about life in Ubud as well as very clearly and carefully teaching me to cook each dish! They took photos of me cooking, and also helped me work out how to translate the recipes to ingredients available to me at home. The food was delicious and there was so much of it!! I will be coming back to do this class again with my family. I can’t praise the experience enough!!

Such an amazing experience, Wayan our guide was so friendly and so funny as well made us feel very much at home and welcome. She was also very knowledgeable and explained lots of customs and methods of cooking the food. Her home setting was also very beautiful with her own rice field and it was lovely to make some flower offerings and eat some breakfast we had brought from the market with some drinks they had prepared before starting to cook lunch . The actual food was so delicious and anmazing intro to Ubud cooking and they were accomodating of my friend with a peanut allergy too!

I really enjoyed this class as a solo female traveller - the staff were engaging and friendly, the recipes were tasty, and through the sharing of activities all the guests got to know each other. They even sang happy birthday and gave me a cake on the day which was very kind and unexpected! Would recommend :)

I loved the Balinese cooking class. Pick-up was smooth and on time, followed by a visit to a local market, which was very informative. We were then taken to the cooking school, which is set against the backdrop of a picturesque rice field and surrounded by a lush garden, where you can explore locally grown vegetables and fruit. The cooking class itself was very well organised and the presentation was marvellous. We were really looked after exceptionally well with a welcome coffee and breakfast, lunch, some fruit to take home and water. I also really enjoyed the extras this tour came with, including making an authentic Hinduist flower offering and receiving an edited video of our experience at the end of the day. Finally, if I had to make a recommendation for improvement, I would suggest going completely plastic-free. As such, it would be best not to waste so many plastic gloves but reusable ones that get washed, and to give people cold water in glasses rather than bottled water. Indonesia is in an absolute crisis regarding plastic waste and I saw many public areas and beaches in Bali and Lombok, that were filled with rubbish and used as dumps. It is incredibly important that local businesses make a start to contribute to positive change and change their practices to become more sustainable, thereby setting an example for the rest of Bali/Indonesia. Local businesses and government agencies need to understand the impact that the amount of rubbish in Indonesia may have on tourism if it continues to go unchecked. Many thanks, Laura

Absolutely amazing experience - couldn't fault a single thing!! Pick up was really simple, with great contact beforehand. I have a peanut allergy and so was a bit nervous, but I had no need, the team were really careful and explained everything. And the food we cooked!!! My god, it was PERFECTION!! I'm an awful cook and I somehow managed to make several delicious Balinese dishes with their great instruction. You also get a recipe book at the end, with the team providing substitute ingredients that you can find back home.

Highly recommend doing this cooking class!
The whole experience was very fun and the team we worked with were incredibly friendly.
We cooked roughly 8-10 different dishes and all contributed to each in different ways. You're helped at every step by the team as well so the food that comes out at the end is still delicious, regardless of your cooking expertise (or lack of).
Great experience overall!

We were concerned about attending a cooking class in Ubud as we’re staying in Benoa, approximately 1 1/2 hrs from Ubud. There was no need for us to be concerned, as our day included transport to and from Ubud.
Our wonderful driver picked us up promptly at 7:00am as promised, and took us to a traditional Balinese market in Ubud where we met our fabulous cooking instructor Wayan.
Wayan toured us through the market, it was a wonderful cultural experience.
We then were taken to Wayan’s cooking school where we prepared and cooked 9 traditional dishes.
We highly recommend the Balinese Cooking Class, Wayan and her husband are so lovely and we had the best day cooking and eating beautiful, delicious food.
After our cooking class, our driver took us to a coffee plantation as well as a jewellery market in Ubud before driving us back to our hotel.
We HIGHLY recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed!!

A great day. The host was very good; informative, interactive and full of personality. Food was great too. Venue & facilities good.
Don’t eat breakfast, there was so much food for lunch and no one in our group was able to finish their plate.
