Unwind and enjoy a local village experience
I had envisaged this to be a tour of Denpasar, however it was more of an experience of a local village where brother & sister (Wulan & Wayhu - trust I’ve got the spelling correct) live. We commenced our tour with delicious pork sates and coconut water from a local warung. A visit to the beautiful and peaceful Taman Ayun Temple followed and then we went to Wulan & Wahyu’s home for afternoon tea and a chat before we set off for our rice field walk. It was both peaceful & enjoyable to walk through their village into the rice fields past an ancient local temple, and to then partake of a cold drink on the ‘secret’ rooftop. We enjoyed the most beautiful far reaching views of the rice fields and beyond as Wulan & Wayhu gave us the the sobering news how recently this was what Canggu looked like…. Sadly my enjoyment was diminished by the thought of getting down from the rooftop by the steep steps sans railings .. happily I clambered down without incident. Walking back through the rice fields, as farmers returned home, past barking dogs & children noisily playing on the path - we hopped back into the van for the last leg of our tour to eat at a local restaurant. I highly recommend his as an opportunity to slowdown & experience local Bali life.

    Amazing experiene
Me and my bf booked a tour here and didn't expect the experience to be this amazing. We were the only ones booked on that day. The brother and sister picked us up from the hotel with a decent car and show us around like friends, made me feel like we have known each other for a while and they are just showing us thier city, I didn't feel like i was the customers at all. Every stop was the highlight, the food was amazing and they even took us to their hidden spot with the sunset view over the rice field, it was so special. High recommend this one!

A Trip Highlight - A true Local Experience
The best thing that you can do when in Bali, especially if you are interested in the local history and culture. Berlin and his (cousins Wulan and Wahyu) have put together something really special. This is not your regular tour, if you're looking for something fast paced this might not be for you. Our tour was about 7 hours long, it was slow paced and laid back. We went for a lunch of sate and sambul with fresh coconut water under a 500 year old tree. There is no way that you will find this place on your own, it's a little street cart on the outskirts of Denpasar. Then we went to Berlin's house, where his Mum made us pandan pancakes and a savory crunchy fruit salad. From there Wulan & Wahyu walked with us through their village, past the temple that has been there for almost 10 centuries, and through the rice paddies. We then went to the house their uncle was building, went up onto the roof and lounged around drinking beers and eating peanuts. The views of the rice fields were stunning. Once it was time for dinner, we walked to the restaurant through the paths in the rice paddies. Dinner was Babi Guling, for me this dish is the quintessential Bali meal. It was amazing! Thank you so much Berlin, Wulan & Wahyu for such an incredible cultural experience. The whole day felt like we were catching up with old friends. Looking forward to doing another tour with you again when we are back in Bali next!

It was such a great day. They picked me up with a new van (aircon) They are brother and sister working together, showing us around and try amazing food, their own secret spot with amazing sunset view with rice field. The overall experience is so amazing. I really felt like we are all friends hanging out and go eat together. Didn't feel like I was the customer at all. So cool experience, you have to do it!!!

    Fun and Interesting Day
I booked this tour with a few friends and was truly very pleased. We've been staying in Canggu, which is a very touristy area. During the tour, we visited a giant holy tree, ate authentic sate Bali, saw a local stream, visited a local temple, viewed the rice fields and relaxed with a cool rooftop view of the rice fields. In my opinion, Bali Sunday Morning is so unique because it's actually run by a local instead of a tourist agency or large company. Berlin truly cares about Bali and that comes through with his tour, which gave me a greater appreciation for both the land and culture. Too often when traveling, we can get wrapped up in tourism and food while forgetting to appreciate the native culture of where we visit. I'm very satisfied that I was able to experience this culture, and would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Bali.

Local food tour around their village
We did the food hunting tour with Berlin and his cousin. They show you around their village. We started with pork saté which was nice. And we saw a cremation. After that we went to their house where we had Balinese sweets/cake. We walked through the ricefields and spent some time on a rooftop overlooking the rice fields. After that we had babi guling (they ordered take away) at their house. We would have liked to try more local food at small eating places. It all was at a relaxed pace.

    Real Bali
Together with my parents I discovered the real bali for a day. Having lived in Bali for a year I wanted to know where I actually was as I remained in an expat bubble. He showed me food, nature and told explained more about the religion. Sometimes he is so enthusiastic that he starts to talk really fast, but I think he picked up on that by now:)

I've made new friends in Bali - brilliant tour!
Wow! This is hardly a tour - it's an authentic bali immersion experience with friends. Berlin is a natural storyteller - grammar jokes and all! - and Wahyu is a sweetheart who got just as excited about the food we're eating and navigated the Bali roads like a pro. Both have big smiles, are happy to answer every question and are oozing a passion for showing you their real Bali. Berlin, Wahyu and their family know just how to make you feel welcome. I loved the food - delicious street food with proper spices only the locals know - and the walk through the rice fields to see where it all starts. The whole tour was chilled with even a chance to have an afternoon siesta and to sit and gaze out from the rooftop terrace in time to see the sky painted pink by the sunset over the rice fields. If you want to feel and learn about the real bali, love street food and want to find peace and friendship I highly recommend this tour!

    Prepare to be Delighted
What would you like to do? You can pick a package from Bali Sunday Morning’s list then let Berlin and Wahyu know if there is something additional you would like to do. These guys are serious about customer service so they helped us with things that were not even on the list - like buying a cell phone when my husband’s quit! We never could have managed without their help! They love questions; they love to laugh; and they love talking about their country and giving you a big bite of it. We never dreamed we would be welcomed into a Balinese home for dinner. What a gift! What a lovely encounter! They made me love Bali even more!

    Experience of a lifetime
My boyfriend and I met Berlin in the first week of our holiday in Bali. A Dutch guy we met told us about a nice local guy he met, who took him on an amazing trip to some beautiful places. So we asked if he would like to show us some cool places only local people know. We were one of the first people he took on a Tour. That day we had some beautiful experiences and met some family members. We became friends and spend some more days together in the last week on Bali. Berlin and his nephew can show you a side of Bali you can only expience with some locals. They know places you can't discover on your own. They will show you a real look in the Balinesion culture (including some good food) and nature. Beside of that, they are fun to hang out with and they like to teach you everything you wanna know! I will recoment everyone to go on a fantastic adventure with them, if you wanna have a day full of beautiful nature, people and good food!

    we've had so much fun!
Berlin and Wahyu are cool and funny guys who love to show you around and tell you everything about their life in Bali. We learned a lot from each others culture, habits and language. The days we spend with Berlin and Wahyu were amazing! They took us to a lot of beautiful hidden places that I wouldn't visit by myself. They introduced us to their family and friends. They are so nice, welcoming and interested. He also took us to the coolest warungs and streetfood places where the food was awesome (even the half-cooked egg that was supposed to bring me luck in my love life or something). Berlin and Wahyu, Terima kasih teman ku!
