We've been welcome by very friendly people, like we were in our own kitchen. They taught us a lot from the market to the cooking. We had a very good time, I highly recommend it !

We started the day with a visit to the market and learned about the fresh produce of Ubud. Then off to the coffee plantation (originally, they planned to take us to the rice fields, but since it's already harvest season, they had to change the initial plan.) to learn more about kopi luwak and various kinds of coffee in Ubud. They also offered a free tasting of five kinds of coffee and tea. The views were spectacular, and there were few people when we came.
Luckily, it was just a small class of 3 people, so we could chat and develop teamwork. All the dishes are authentic and yummy. We cooked six main dishes and one dessert. Went home with a printed copy of the recipes and a certificate.
Wayan is such a funny and dynamic teacher, along with Chef Rakesh. I had a fun time in this class, and I would do it all over again.

We took the evening cooking class and the family was amazing. They normally pick you up at your hotel but we had already booked a yoga class and massage at the Yoga Barn. Wayan was early and picked us up and drove us to the family property where we cooked 8 different items. We were also blessed to make an offering which was quite moving. We felt like family the entire afternoon. They were the most gracious and kind family and if we had had our sarongs would have allowed us to go in their family temple. We left with a certificate and all the recipes we made. It exceeded our expectations and would recommend this experience as we felt like we were “living with locals”. Thank you Wayan to you and your cousin 🙏🏻o

The food was amazing! The instruction was fun and informative. We are are family of all ages and they managed to engage with each one of us individually to give us a really unique and personal experience. If you are staying in Ubud make this definite activity on your list. Gorgeous food, gorgeous people and gorgeous gardens and setting. They even do a personalised honey moon dinner.

I was excited to join a Balinese cooking class and a dinner with a traditional family in their welcoming home 🫶
We started with a tour at the coffee plantation with a little tasting of local teas and coffees and then, headed to the place of their residence, where I learned about using the local ingredients such as galangal, turmeric and lemon grass 🌱
We got our hands dirty and cooked a 7 course meal together using delicious ingredients that we grilled on the coconut shells afterwards 😍
It was such a great experience to learn from the locals and enjoy the delicious flavors of Balinese cuisine 🌺

By far my favourite experience in Bali! Run by wonderful people, in a beautiful and a really easy going atmosphere. And delicious food!! Doesn’t feel “touristy” like some these kinds of things can feel. Also a lovely experience if you’re travelling by yourself.

Wayan first of all collected us and began his personalised tour of Ubud and the surrounding areas. Taking us to his family rice paddy before enlightening us to all the local produce at the local market. This was used for the 9 dishes were we’re about to embark upon at this family home. The entire family welcomed us with open arms and we made some of the most amazing dishes ever tasted. Thanks so much Wayan, this is a must for anyone visiting Ubud.

The cooking class was one of the highlights of my time in Bali. It was jam-packed with knowledge, we learned a lot about the ingredients and the meals and participated in everything. The family also explained interesting facts about the Balinese compound, offerings, etc. I did some research and it seems that this class has the biggest number of recipes, which I really like. The only sad thing is that I lost my recipe book... Is there a way I can get it? Please let me know I'll be very grateful as I want to cook the recipes at home

I had so much fun doing the Jambangan Bali Cooking Class.
First we went to the local, fresh food markets and I learned about the ingredients we would cook with during the class. Then we stopped in at a coffee plantation for a coffee tasting which was a really unique experience!
The cooking class was incredible and we made the most delicious food!!! They also made sure to take plenty of photos and videos of me cooking so I could remember the process and have something to remember the day by.
I was travelling to Bali for the first time, alone and the warm and friendly locals made me feel so relaxed, comfortable and at home.
Highly recommend!

We were a party of 2 but there was a party of 3 girls and two other parties of 2. I cannot see it as an issue other than the maximum size of the group on the day. We went to the markets first in a mini bus followed by hands on preparation, cooking and eating. It was my favourite activity on the whole trip!
