We have done cycling tours in other countries because you get to experience the true culture and see such diverse landscapes.
This tour was no exception and a highlight of our trip to Bali.
Our guide Sangtu Buki, was so kind and lovely, his knowledge of Balinese culture opened our eyes and minds to the beautiful and respectful ways the Balinese people and their family traditions.
The visit to the coffee plantation was so interesting and the coffee and tea samples are incredible.
We went inside a family compound to meet some family elders and experienced their hospitality which was very special.
At the end of our cycling, which was not difficult, we had a delicious meal in an Ubud restaurant overlooking some rice paddies.
This tour is fun, insightful and highly recommend to do if you want knowledge and see this beautiful island up close.

This was a tour I had always wanted to do the past few times I have visited Bali but, with small children at the time, it was difficult. But my wife and I returned with our children this year, (now all 3 are teenagers), and the experience was fantastic. To glide through villages and rice paddies, stopping to greet locals and see the real, life of Bali, is something you cannot get from a car or motorbike. A big highlight of our holiday.

Our second time doing this tour. Such a great experience and lovely calm relaxing way to see Bali. Our guide was so good. Did a cheeky bit of off road and it was awesome. The other family we were with were great which totally made our whole day so good. The bikes were really comfortable and easy to use and so great that you get collected and dropped back from your accommodation. Would recommend this tour 10/10!!

Just got to Ubud, but am fairly certain already that this will have been the highlight of the trip. Such a lovely local business, our Guides made this an experience to remember. Getting to travel up the mountain so that the biking is downhill makes it that much better. Not too hot, just a lovely breeze and the scent of offerings as we rode through village roads. It’s fun riding through the quiet countryside on bike and learning about the culture at different stops along the way. Highly, highly recommend this experience.

Thankyou Agus and Nyoman for a beautiful day out riding! We loved riding through the greenery of the rice fields, the coffee plantation and the incredible views of the volcano. Along the way we learned all about Balinese culture and practises from Agus, who showed us the Bali way of living in a family home. Finishing off for lunch in a restaurant amongst the greenery was wonderful. Highly recommended!

What a great day! We learnt so much from our fantastic local guide, Nyoman. Our group was small which allowed for a lot of flexibility over the day. All our stops were relaxed, with no real time restraints. Our time at the school was terrific, talking and interacting with the kids. We learnt so much about Balinese life during the stops at the Coffee plantation, temple and family compound. Nyoman was able to answer all our questions in great detail. The cycling was terrific, passing through beautiful scenery on minor roads.
Lunch, in a quiet warung overlooking rice paddies, was a treat. We highly recommend this experience. It’s the best bike trip we have done in Ubud, and we’ve done a few!!

This trip was so much more than what we expected.

We were a small group of 6 people.

There was a crew of three locals who were well informed on the history of the villages, rice fields and temples.

95% of this trip is downhill, but there are 2 vehicles that follow the group if you get tired.

We ended with a very nice lunch that showcased Bali cuisine.

Thank you for a great day!

We really enjoyed this bicycle tour!
Even though the weather was a bit rainy we had an amazing day. Wayan provided us with rain ponchos. He is such a knowledgeable guide , you will learn so much about Balinese people , their culture , about their religion and they way how they live. Was very interesting, he had answers to all of our questions.
Besides cycling through the rice fields (it's amazing btw) the tour goes around local villages , you also stop at the Balinese house and before ending the trip have a nice lunch with a view.
Thanks again to Wayan - our tour giude and Nyoman -our driver!

Well worth doing with much more included then expected. We were a double family of 10 (7 adult children). Our guide Ogus was very professional and a great source of information about the Balinese culture etc. 95% down hill through villages and rice fields. Do the morning tour (approx 5 hours including driving to and returning back to accomodation) to avoid the heat of the afternoon and possible rain. Light breakfast and lunch at the end included was delicious.

Cannot rate this highly enough. We (family of 4) did the cultural cycling tour. It was hands down the best tour I've done anywhere in the world. Absolutely loved it. It's very gentle, mostly downhill, with only a couple of steep uphills (if you wanted, you could get into the van for this), and it felt so peaceful and relaxing cycling through the rice fields and villages. Our guide and driver, Agus and Nyoman, were superb - full of interesting information about the culture and lifestyle, and extremely patient with my daughter who was a bit more cautious than the rest of us! The visit to the local house didn't feel at all touristy or intrusive, and it was fascinating to see how a local family actually lives. They were lovely. To end the trip, we were taken for a delicious lunch in the middle of the country.

What we loved about this company is that it's run by local people, with the money going directly to them (and some to the family whose house we visited). Totally recommend and we'll do it again when we visit Bali next year!
