The trek was through a local village and through rice fields and farms. It was amazing to see and the kids were so cute running around and waving to us. I’m not a big adrenaline seeker so this was the perfect mix of adventure and exploration. Our guide even let my friend try out his vehicle and he drove me and lawd lol very exciting! Had a blast.

We had two tandem buggies so our kids were next to us the whole trip. We got a lot more from the experience because we were next ti each other in the buggy, not a child holding into a grown up from behind. The transport was great, the lunch AMAZING, the buggies easy to handle, the staff friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
- Jenlouwil00Brilliant fun and fantastic experience!This was one of the best things we did in Ubud! Brilliant from start to finish! The safety instructions were clear and straightforward and we got to have a test drive on the quads around the training track before we set off. I was really glad of this as I was a first time quad driver and they are quite bulky and different to manoeuvre. The instructors were friendly and helpful and helped me to feel comfortable and confident in driving alone but there is also an option to drive with an instructor or use a buggy instead. The route we drove was beautiful - it wad tropical and lush and just absolutely stunning. It was just me and my husband and two instructors and we felt completely safe the whole time. The instructors told us all about the local area, we stopped off in their villages and even met some of their family members. A highlight was one of our instructors climbing a coconut tree to pick us fresh coconuts which they opened for us and we enjoyed in the jungle. He even ventured off into his uncles farm land to pick us some fresh fruit and gave us some to take away with us - you just couldn’t ask for more. When we got back to the centre the most delicious lunch had been made for us, a selection of Indonesian dishes and little goodie bags with bottles brinks and sweet treats in them. There was a photographer on route taking photos but unfortunately their laptop system wasn’t working and we couldn’t purchase any. It didn’t matter though as our guides took lots of photos on our phones for us along the way. A must do in Ubud and this is certainly the best company to do it with!

We had so many laughs, and the scenery was simply breathtaking: a pristine rainforested gorge stretching about 50 metres above us, with crystal clear river water from a mountain spring. The guides were incredibly helpful, the safety briefing was excellent, and we felt 100% safe at all times. I highly recommend this experience to both get deep into the natural environment and have a great time. The hot buffet lunch provided was also delicious.

Given a little goodie back with a drink and snacks for the drive from Seminyak to Ubud. The facilities were clean and well thought out. Our lunch along with tea and and coffee, fresh water supplied were all. Tasty food in plentiful supply. We spent the full day doing the quad bikes and inflatable rafts down the river. So much fun, with beautiful surroundings and amazing tour guides. The tour company has clearly taken care to make sure they have thought of everything to make sure that the experience is top class and it was. We would thoroughly recommend it and look forward to going again in the future!

It was kinda fun but not worth the €66 you drive slow and i feel like your on a ride at the fair.
You only go in slow circles around the track not really fun if you really want the adventure.
I assume great for kids with their parents.
The quads needs some maintenance aswell.

Hi Michiel, thank you for your review. However I’m a bit confused about the issues you complained about, it’s difficult for me to comment and follow up where needed if I don’t know the details. The review says that you’re giving feed back on our 2 in 1 adventure Quad or buggy with canyon tubing. But you don’t mention the tubing activity and you also informed that you spent 66 euro, which is less than we sell our tours for. You also mentioned that our quad bikes need maintenance, this seems very strange to me because we just received an entire new fleet of new CF Moto 450 4x4 quad bikes on the first of January 2023. They are still practically new. Our tours are tailor made, we always drive in small groups of max. 4 to 5 quad bikes and we cover almost 25 km of mainly off road tracks, passing traditional villages, jungle with mud, plantations and rice fields, very different from driving around in circles around a track. It just doesn’t seem to match with your remarks in the review. If you can send me an email to pjanssen@Baliquad dot com with your name and when you joined which tour I’ll look into it. Because our purpose is to offer our guests one of the high lights of their holiday and if we don’t succeed we have home work to do

I first want to start this review about customer service. I booked this tour as a surprise for my boyfriend's 30th...and on the day he was so ill from heat exposure that he couldn't get out of bed. Since we had an early pick-up, my cancellation email was not seen before the driver arrived at our hotel. The driver was nice about it, but I expected that I may have to forfeit my payment. However, shortly after the driver left I received a call from BQDT who were understanding, and were able to book us in for a few days later. Not only this, but they also accommodated a different drop-off location (the airport).
The Experience:
The day itself was amazing. I'm so glad I chose this combination for my boyfriend, it was a great present. Each activity went for a really good amount of time.
The quad biking is intimidating if you haven't tried it before. You get a practice round which helps to ease nerves a bit, but you get used to it and its so much fun. You will go around rice fields, on roads, through villages and on bumpy, muddy tracks. You will see cows, dogs, chickens and maybe even little chicks. It is many times a beautiful serene atmosphere, but you will also see the unglamorous and garbage laden sides. It is truly a great way to see Bali up close, and in it's true sense.
The canyon tubing was beautiful. I wish I had organised a waterproof camera or gopro because you can't describe it in words. I didn't really know what to expect with canyon tubing and it was a bit different to what I thought it might be.
I wouldn't call this a gentle experience, but it's not white water rafting. There are mini rocky falls that you will go down, and you'll often have to manoeuvre out of a spot you're trapped in. You will also have to get out of your inflatable a couple of times to cross platforms, which cover more dangerous falls.
You will get wet. Each small dip will bring water into your inflatable as well as saturating your legs and upper body, but you probably won't go under. My hair and face didn't get wet.
Bring sneakers or river shoes, and a change of clothes. You definitely won't want to stay in the clothes you went tubing in.
The Food:
Is a couple of dishes prepared buffet style. It's not amazing food but it was appreciated after the quad biking, and I found it good for a lunch break. We were also given a small bag with a couple of snack items which was a big plus.
The Price:
In Bali there will be other drivers who will offer you "discounted" day trips like this. Your conversation will often be steered in this direction by asking you what your plans are for your trip etc. I never asked for their prices because I had already booked and paid for this one.
In the end I don't care how much other places charge. I booked this trip at about $210pp AUD ($152 USD) because it seemed a reasonable price and this place has overwhemingly positive reviews. I'm glad I stuck with this choice because it was worth it for me.

It's a big reward for our team to know that you and your boy friend had such an enjoyable time with us, we accomplished our Companies mission "to make our tours one of the high lights of our guests' holidays". I agree with you that it's very hard to make a choice when picking the right tours when you are already in Bali, everybody is trying to offer you their best picks, which is more often than not based on the amount of commission given than on a fair tour review. As with everything it mostly comes down to the principle of getting what you pay for. We are very happy that you bring home some nice memories from Bali and that we contributed to this, once again thank you too for sharing your positive experience with other travelers and for rating us with 5 stars.

Me and my partner booked the canyon tubing and buggy tour - we were the only ones on the 2 tours as it was a quiet period but it was an AMAZING experience!!!
We booked a roundtrip transfer from our hotel and on arrival we were able to put our bags in lockers and we were given slices of cake and drinks. We had to sign waiver forms, watch a introduction video and we were given our safety equipment.
We took a little jeep to the start of the canyon adventure where we took the flying fox (zip line) to the canyon. Our guides for the canyon adventure were Wayan and Sun - they were amazing and made sure we stayed in our tubes and took lots of pictures for us on our phones.
This was a brilliant experience and completely safe - the tour lasted around 1.5-2 hours!
We then took a quad bike back to the jeep which took us back to the restaurant to have lunch. There was a great selection of foods and soft drinks/ beer can be purchased for extra.
On our buggy tour we were able to ride the test track before hitting the road - our buggy broke down twice but our guide was so professional and it didn't bother us too much as the views were beautiful!
Would definitely recommend this tour company as you can see Bali from a different perspective!

Bali Quad organised a driver to pick us up at our hotel. He was already waiting for us bang on time to leave. Lovely driver, very friendly and although he didn't speak a huge amount of English, it was enough for a very pleasant ride 2.5hr ride to the venue. A goodie bag was provided in the car with a bottle of water, soda, mints and chocolate bar - nice touch. On arrival we were shown the facilities and watched an instructional video. We were asked to sign contract and then fitted out with waterproof vests & helmets for the canyon tubing. A ATV and quad bike took us to the start of the river so not too many steps involved as is often the case with white water rafting. A zip line takes you the remainder of the way which is quite the novelty and fun. Canyon tubing is fun and very relaxing, the rapids are not too high and totally suitable for younger children or older, fairly fit people. A guide stays with you all the way guiding your tube so you don't hit rocks and go down the rapids the right way. Three or four times you have to exit your tube where the river is too dangerous and walk a short way to enter the tube again so a pair of waterproof shoes would be handy. You do go quite some distance down the river and are then picked by by the quad and atv again to go back to base. Very safe but not for the adventurer who may find it a little tame.
Back at base you can shower and change. Shampoo/soap & towels provided. Toilets and free lockers provided.
Lunch is a simple affair but was very delicious. Basic soup, salad, rice, noodles, Chicken curry, beef curry, fruit etc. Water, coffee, tea & cake available at all times included in the package price and other drinks - beers, sodas available at reasonable prices.
We then did quad biking in the afternoon. We were kitted up with boots (take socks with you) & a helmet with a headcap underneath for cleaniness. Shin protectors are provided should you not take up the offer of their boots. My husband and I went out with a guide and another couple. The other couple were not as experienced as my husband and I but this did not spoil our fun as our guide saw our level of experience and we followed him at a good pace, and then waited at certain points for the other couple to catch up. Loved the ride through paddy fields, Balanise villages, on road, up and down steep mountain tracks, through some muddy tracks etc.
Absolutely FAB - DO wear sunglasses or goggles (goggles are provided) and the face masks (also provided) as you will get all dusty and muddy. Views were amazing. There is a toilet stop but you may not want to use it...........(I'll say no more!). The Guide was brilliant, ensuring we had a great time and that we were all OK. Just when we thought it was over, on returning to base, the guide took us on a further little-used track - I think he enjoyed himself too.
On returning to base we were offered another opportunity to shower, offered coffee/tea etc. Photos are available -a photographer goes around the tracks at certain points and captures you - for the two activities a USB with over 100 photos cost 600,000, for one activity 450,000 which i thought was quite expensive but I purchased anyway. Single printed photos cost 100,000 with a buy 2, get one free deal.
Our driver was then waiting for us with his very comfortable car to return us back to our hotel. Only downside - it took us 4hrs to return to our hotel due to traffice - you may want to consider staying nearby in Ubud to participate in the activities.

First of all on behalf of the entire Bali Quad team I would like to express our big thanks to you for writing such a detailed review on TripAdvisor, one of the most complete I have come across so far. This will definitely help other travelers to get a good idea of what to expect (btw your comment about the field toilet is being followed up, thank you for bringing this up). We're also very pleased to read that you had such a great day out, that's certainly one of our most important aims. I'm sorry to read about the long return way, un fortunately it's currently high season and, especially if there are ceremonies being held on the same day, this might cause very heavy traffic. 4 hours is really extreme though, the normally one and a half hour drive to the south (Nusa Dua, Kuta) might become 2 to 2,5 hours on the way back during high season. Choosing to join while staying in Ubud is a good alternative during these months, it will only take you max an hour to get to our site from there. It was a pleasure to have you with us and once again thank you for your comments and recommendations.

Before you book, be warned it is a long day! A couple of hours to get there, and nearly 3 to get back to Legian (we had to drop off another couple in Ubud first!).
But boy while you are there this is a great day out!
The pick up was right on time, and the driver/guide extremely nice and friendly.
The trip was an experience through the countryside with great tour info from the driver.
On arrival we were greeted at the van by staff and taken to watch the intro video and fill out some paperwork.
The facilities are great. You are in the jungle but everything is clean, from toilets, showers, eating areas and shop.
We booked a 2-seat buggy because my wife didn't want to drive. IN our group was a mother (55 years old or so) and daughter (30ish), a US woman (20) and a couple from Melbourne. So we had a big mix of people with varying skills and experience.
After a few laps of the practice circuit the "mother" decided not to ride a quad and accepted the offer of being driven by a local. Then we were off.
Driving through the countryside including rice paddies, jungle and villages. A couple of stops along the way (yes there is a toilet break). A great experience, I never felt unsafe along the way. I noticed the safety barriers they had installed using trees.
We didn't get muddy at all, just a bit of dust but not a dirty experience.
Lunch was very tasty and served by the locals who had made it. No problems at all, a very good meal.
Then we were off again to start the canyon tubing. A short ATV trip, onto a zip line via a suspension bridge - I contacted the cargo net at the end a bit hard and lost a little skin but no big problem!
The canyon tubing was really really good. Each rider is held by a safety escort. I would have liked a couple of times to just float by myself in the quiet areas, but I understand why they need to stay close. My guide was very talkative and made the journey enjoyable. My wife was hesitant to take part but was really set at ease by her guide and had a ball. It is a journey through a beautiful part of the world.
You do need to get out of your tube a few times to walk around bigger obstacles, but this adds some adventure to the outing.
Again I need to reinforce that these adventures are very safe and are hosted by VERY friendly people.
The only down side was the trip home via Ubud, but overall everything was perfect!!

Each member of my family loved both of these excursions. The staff is so professional, well trained, helpful, and ensured we were all safe while having a great time. During the Quad portion of our excursion, one of the guides gave us a tour of his home village (compound). This made the experience so personal and memorable. We loved seeing how Balinese natives live and appreciated his sharing this with us.

It's nice to hear that you and your family had such a pleasant time with us. It was a good choice to join both our Quad and the canyon tubing tours, as both activities offer different things; while the quad tour lets you drive pass plantations, rice fields, villages and muddy tracks the canyon tubing leads you through the untouched jungle of the inlands of Bali. 2 hour Quad Biking through the Ubud Forest ‘Adventure’.
A review by Sarah Schulze (survivor):
‘Let’s go quad biking they said’.....
‘It will be fun they said....’
And the story begins.....
So as part of our ‘fun’ Ubud tour my loving husband signed us up for a 2hr Quad Biking Adventure.......
Note the word......’Adventure’
It started innocently enough.....whack your feet in some Plastic bags, gum boots and a helmet.....
Note to self, should have added;
1) Incontinence Pads
2) A Cardiologist review
3) A Valium and a Milo
And after a 2 minute tutorial (hello never ridden a motor bike or huge quad bike in my life) we are off on what I now know as ‘the initiation’.....
Puttering along a few flat areas, nice and flat, straight and unassuming.....’wow this is easy I thought’ ( silly me)
Then......like a bad Steven Seagal movie, your in the Ubud Jungle and there is no way back.....
From this point on there was plenty of fricken ‘Adventure’ starting with a 40 degree slope that I was sure my brakes were ill equipped to handle (truth) mud Slides fast at that angle and so does a quad bike.
A small reprieve of flat land....then boom 💥 a 40 degree incline plummeting into a a river that I can only describe as ‘fast flowing’.
This is all fun and games until you are on a quad bike and can’t see a damn thing or where the next uneven rock might throw you to your death.....
Oh look a beautiful waterfall.....💦
Under other circumstances it would be called ‘romantic’ ‘amazing’, ‘unreal’ even.....
In this case the waterfall was secondary to my white knuckle fever, palpitations and sudden affiliation to God.
Then after several more miles of treacherous terrain, they stopped for a ‘refreshment’ break. When my trembling legs got to the drinks tent I have never necked a Bintang so fast....
Seriously a whiskey chaser would have been greatly appreciated.....
Then back on the quad bikes. Accepting my fate we drove on. Now I know why they plied us with alcohol, ahead is a tunnel that incredibly captures my three greatest fears;
1) Pitch Darkness
2) Claustrophobia
3) Water

Thank god for the lights on the bike as that tunnel was inky Black and scary as hell.....
But I digress.....
Made it out to the sunlight!!!!
By this stage I have found God, said a thousand hail Mary’s and promised to never drink alcohol again ( disclaimer, I was catatonic with fear).
Then back for some more steep inclines, terrifying death plunges, all whilst being filmed by an enthusiastic little Balinese man.
I can assure you:
My footage was going to end up on the cutting room floor. For a promotional video, a 44 year old woman gripping the steering wheel for dear life, swearing and looking like their next coroners case does not make for a ‘vibey’ ‘incredible’ video.....trust me.
And then finally the end was nigh.....
As we headed back the next ‘victims’
(Sorry customers) were waiting, bright eyed and full of hope and promise....
However on an adventure fear scale I still rate White Water Rafting a 300/100.

Hi there, I read your comment with great pleasure, very entertaining and describing a clear picture of "what you went through" while driving those quad bike. It seems that you had a great time out.
However from the details I noticed that you didn't join the Quad Discovery tour but went with another provider (1: we don't provide plastic bags for the feet, 2: we provide an instruction video, followed by hands on briefing and practical training on our practice circuit before the tour (takes approx. 1 hour in total, not 2 minutes), 3: we don't descend into a river after a 40 degree incline and don't pass a tunnel during our tour).
Many of our guests are first time quad drivers, be assured that if you choose Bali Quad Discovery tours much time will be spent on the preparation and training while during the tour several professional guides accompany the (always small) groups of guests to assure that each participant has a safe trip.

My husband and I did Quad with Canyon Tubing. We had the most exciting and fun day! The tubing takes you through a stunning canyon and the quad biking takes you through the beautiful rice paddy fields and towns. It was pretty rainy when we got to the quad biking portion but this only made the quad biking more fun! Highly recommend this day to anyone looking for an adventure filled day out.

You made the right choice joining both our land and water tour (seems that you had lots of water during the land tour as well but that indeed for sure increased the driving fun lol). We went on the Buggy and river tubing trip. We were picked up at the hotel and arrived to a well planned organisation. Fitted with safety gear, watched safety video, given water and snack bag. Items could be put in a locker for safety. Went on a 2 hour Buggy drive through rice fields, villages, off road tracks. luckily it had not been raining much recently otherwise instead of getting very dusty (they provide face masks) it could have got very muddy! We stopped a couple of times to take in the view and have a drink of water. We saw both Mount Bator and Agung on the trip. On our trip there were probably a dozen quad bikes and the one buggy. Back at base we had a nice lunch and then the 4 of us went river tubing. The other three used the Flying Fox zip wire to get down to the river but I walked! The river we would be travelling down was the Siap and was only about 18 inches deep at the deepest point. You get in this rubber type raft (one each) and flow with the river. There were 4 staff members making sure you were safe and getting wet!! You would go down little rapids and along straight areas of the river. There was a photographer taking photos which you could buy later. We had to get out on a couple of occasions because of rocks etc. but then carried on. The whole trip probably took about 1.5 hours and we traveled 6 kilometer apparently. It was the best adventure experience for me. You must have a go!

We did the ATV and tubing tour. the ATV tour was nice with the right amount of safety equipment (definitely wear the mask they give you even if just for the last 10 minutes). the tubing trip was no joke! there were lots of rapids and rocks. the tour guides keep you safe and did an excellent job keeping everyone together. wear sneakers or watershoes, b/c there will be some trail walking.

No, there are no waterfalls on the canyon tubing, however, the area is beautiful and it is great fun!

Je voyage seule et je n'ai pas très envie de conduire un quad. Est-il possible d'avoir un "chauffeur" et à quel prix ? Mon voyage est prévu fin janvier et début février et je serai logée à Ubud.

Hi we are in sanur. Can you confirm the total journey time? Is it An hour from sanur to Ubud and then another 1.5 hours to the experience location? = 2.5 hours in total?
