Great introduction to Balinese cooking. Chef Bagus was very friendly and extremely talented. We also had the opportunity to try many delicious traditional Balinese dishes.

        Fun and Educational
A great way to learn about Balinese cuisine by an excellent chef and restaurant. The food you learn to make and enjoy was excellent and a lot of fun. I highly recommend this class, especially since guests dietary needs are addressed.

        Best cooking class ever
I have attended Chef Bagus cooking class in Bali which was beyond all my expectations it was wonderful. Since COVID I have done every online cooking class Chef Bagus has held and I absolutely love them. The dishes are great and he explains every so easily that I have never had a failure and have made most of the dishes. Can’t wait to be able to go back to Bali and one of the first things I’ll do is book a cooking class again. Love it thanks so much Chef you’re wonderful.

        Worth doing!
I can definitely recommend this cooking class. It is well run from pick up/drop off, market visit to see the essentials for Balinese cooking, etc. Chef Bagus and his team work well and all students have a chance to join in. In all 10 dishes are cooked and enjoyed over lunch afterwards. Ingredients are pre-prepared & measured out by staff to save time hence being able to cook 10 dishes in the timeframe. A great class with fun team. Thankyou all!

        Great experience
Chef Bagus and his many offsiders have a great operation. Fun banter, really organized food preparation and serving. Delicious food too! He is an engaging host and a special mention to Patrick for his knowledge, humor and skill.

        Need to do!!!
My partner and i recently attended Chef Bagus cooking class and thoroughly enjoyed it!!! we booked it via whatsapp. we were then picked up on the day at 8am, picked up another group and met at the local markets where we were shown how the locals shop, what ingredients we were using in our cooking and more. We then were taken to the restaurant and provided with a welcome drink, name tags & some fun rules before we started. Chef Bagus gave us an intro and background on who he is and what he’s done. the cooking class was hands on and he made sure everyone got a turn doing something and interacting with the other members of the class. After the cooking was done we then sat down for a massive lunch!!! We had purchased a grinding stone while at the markets and had accidentally left it at the restaurant, i messaged Chef Bagus on whatsapp and asked if he could mind it until we picked it up later that day, it was not an issue and when we arrived the staff member assisted me straight away. The staff are very professional & friendly. we enjoyed our day!!!

        Bali cooking class
Booked in to class on line and had good communication with the cooking school. Pick up and return to my hotel was arranged and executed effortlessly. There were 7 in our class and it was a fun and friendly experience from the start to the finish, the food was very tasty with plenty of it to share at the end of the class. Chef Bagus interacted very well with everyone in the group and made us all feel relaxed but included in each process. We each left with a certificate and a recipe book and definite full tummies 😊 I would certainly recommend this cooking class if you want to learn a bit more about the lovely flavours and cooking techniques that the Balinese use.

        Fabulous Food and Fun
My daughter and I spent a fun morning with Chef Bagus as he instructed us in the art of Balinese cooking in his restaurant. His many helpers ensured our enjoyment and all the tedious chopping was done beforehand. Chef B is a cheeky funny man who entertained 11 of us including 3 men. We all had fun cooking many delicious dishes for our lunch. I thoroughly recommend this experience, or if not, at least visit the restaurant for dinner - best ribs in Bali and not expensive or elite.

Highly recommend Chef Bagus Cooking Class. We had a wonderful time with Chef Bagus and Mamma Bali. Chef Bagus is so friendly, he involved everyone in the class and had us all laughing and smiling the whole time. Can't wait to do the class again next time we visit Bali

Great Cooking Ckass - Must Do!
Very informative and well run. Whether you are learning to cook or looking for something new on the menu at home it's definitely worth doing! Arrive and they take you to the traditional market and explain the different produce they use, then off to the Restaurant and start with trying the delicious Rice Dumplings with Palm Sugar Syrup - soooo good! We made 10 different dishes. Each dish is planned out so there is no prep involved but dont feel like you will miss something as you get a recipe book to take home and a Certificate. You try most dishes as you make them and then lunch is served with all the dishes you have prepared. Great value and includes pickup and return to you hotel. Go with a group of friends or individual is okay too as they combine you into groups so you mix with new people. I booked with Cookly but you can book direct with the Restaurant.

Another amazing day learing how to cook authentic Balinese food ith Chef Bagus. This is my 3rd time doing the course and definitely recommend people to do the course with Chef Bagu. The best part is eating all of the delightful dishes for lunch washed down with a very cheap Bintang

Chef Bagus has great personality and was engaging. The cooking class was more of a leisure activity and was mostly rushed thru. The venue was very basic and definitely not a premium experience. It felt overpriced for the dishes ( pork ribs, chicken and fish satay, roasted chicken, mee goreng ) that was offered and the minimal cooking and food preparation activities. Overall something worth considering when in Kuta but probably the price should be around 40% cheaper to commensurate with the venue, menu and experience offered. Furthermore, there was no market tour which was listed as one of the activities.

Great food and atmosphere. Chef Bagus has just opened another restaurant in Nusa Dua with the same menu as Kuta. Highly recommended as we visit this restaurant whenever in Bali. He does have cooking classes as well which is quite popular.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Chef Bagus Cooking Class the other day. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to his restaurant where we spent the next 5+ hours with 14 wonderful people. We created 12 authentic Balinese recipes together and enjoyed a wonderful feast together at the end. We even learned the secret recipe to his world famous ribs :) Chef is a wonderful man and makes the class very fun and entertaining. His staff is also amazing and very helpful. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our time at Balinese cooking, we originally gave the wrong hotel to be picked up from as soon as we realised this we contacted to them and they had no issues changing our pick up point.
The actual cooking class was good fun and informative. We each had a go at preparing the meals. Then enjoyed our food at the end.

Had an awesome time at the cooking class in January 2020. Was a great group of people and the hands-on class was great. We were taught lots of different balinese recipes and had a great experience getting to know Chef, the staff and the others at the class. Definately recommend this as a must-do in Bali.

We loved the food at chef Bagus so wanted to know how to cook it. We don't do cooking schools but I am glad we did. Chef Bagus was awesome in knowledge and instruction. He was funny and informative. We all had an awesome time, made our vego daughter feel very well included and added to his menu list to accommodate. The recipe book and instructions were well received and his helpful tips were gratuitously accepted! We loved it and will be back to re hone our skills.
