This cooking experience was very personal and relaxed with Chef Putu chatting about traditional Balinese food and ingredients whilst we prepared authentic and delicious dishes. The ingredients were first class and we ate the final meal in the setting of the lovely restaurant. A great way to spend a few hours and gain experience cooking authentic Balinese food.

Excellent class , only 4 in the group, great use of local products. Head chef was a great teacher , explaining different use of herbs and spices.

The chef, location and food was great. The only down side was it was advertised as maximum 4 people which was a deciding factor in booking this booking school over others as we had a group of four already, but another couple were also booked in. Also, we had to pay for a glass of water which I felt should be included.

We had a great day. After pickup we visited the markets to buy some cooking ingredients then returned to the hotel where the cooking class started. We made a seafood stew, chicken satay and fried bananas for dessert. We then ate lunch then rolled home for a nap due to a food coma. Highly enjoyable day set in lovely hotel grounds

Great experience. Visited the markets first then back to the hotel for a great cooking experience then a meal to die for that we cooked. My fourth cooking class overseas something I do when I can and absolutely loved it. Chef was wonderful and the Amala is a top notch intimate and special venue. We all loved it.

Possibly the best experience of our trip to Bali. The whole thing was professional but truly welcoming and fun. Chef Wiriyata explained all about the ingredients and process but we got to work preparing and cooking. It was interactive rather than being a demonstration. We discussed possible swaps if we can’t find the same ingredients in Spain and topped it off by enjoying our delicious 3 course lunch in a beautiful setting.
If you like cooking and eating delicious fresh food, then this is the course for you!

Thank you to all the team at Amaya, from the initial correspondence, on time pick up to the informative class and delicious food. We had an 8month old baby with us who was determined not to cooperate but the staff set up a crib with mosquito net and toys to keep her amused. The baby even got a certificate, which was very generous as she did not help at all! :) It was a wonderful class and we'll be sure to come check out one of the other menu options when we're next in Bali.

We were the only 2 participants in our class, so it was a really fun intimate experience. The chef walked us through all the ingredients we would be using and then took us through the recipes step by step. The food was absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed sitting down to eat what we’d cooked - there was so much of it! We love that we got to keep our cooking aprons too. We’d definitely return to try a different menu next time. Thanks for a fun class chef!

We took up the option of the fish market tour followed by the morning cooking class and lunch. Overall an awesome tour and experience with our friendly and highly experienced chef. The market was a real eye opener and great to experience with a local who added so much information to the visual. Private transfer to and from our accommodation was great and we had the expertise of not one but two chefs for our own private class. The chefs and staff were friendly and fun and we had a beautiful lunch which we really enjoyed preparing which was served next to the pool in this lovely resort in Seminyak. We received a certificate, copies of the recipies / menu and our aprons to keep. Great value and a really fun experience for a couple. Highly recommended.

Fantastic morning, I did this class with my niece, which was such a fun thing to do together. (And it ticked one off her ‘40 under 40’ list)
It was a small group (just 4) which was fantastic and everyone had a chance to participate. The Chef was sociable, informative and fun. Wonderful tasty recipes that I can’t wait to try out on family and friends when I get home.
