- Radoslaw A0 contributionsGood place to know birds of Indonesia betterThere is so many kinds of bird to see there but most beautiful are parrots some of them living of up to 100 years. Nice restaurant as well.Written September 22, 2024
- AnthonyS8340 contributionsQuite fantastic for all age groups. One of the best experiences we had in Bali. Beautiful tropical landscaped grounds with meandering paths woven through it. They provide Visitor interactive ''shows'' around every corner, excellent and verry entertaining. The birds of flight show is fantastic! Huge walk thru Avery with waterscapes, arial walkways and tree houses that exabit owls and other birds inside. A "Must Do'' !! The Reptile Park just next door is also very good!! All this for a fraction of the blighted Night Safari that was so disappointing.Written March 16, 2024
- harryzac0 contributionsTotally wonderful and worthwhile experienceIt’s definitely worth the trip. You can stay all day as there are timed and themed shows throughout the day, but realistically three hours will get you through everything. All of the shows, apart from the Komodo Dragon (obviously), are hands on. The walkways through the aviaries get you up high with the most beautiful birds. The cafes are reasonably priced and the smoothies are delicious. There are lots of discount ticket sites…most of them not viable but do persevere there is always one that works. Headout worked for me. Also, be aware there’s an Indonesian resident price and a much more expensive tourist price…however, it’s definitely worth it and helping their conservation work.Written January 15, 2024
- VladToday0 contributionsFriday at Bali Bird ParkOur visit to Bali Bird Park was an enchanting and immersive experience. The park offers a unique opportunity to see a variety of birds, including many colorful parrots, flying freely in their natural habitat. This setting allowed us to closely observe and appreciate these beautiful creatures. It was a delightful way to spend time together, surrounded by the vibrancy and life of the bird world. The park's layout and the freedom given to the birds made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful yet engaging experience.Written January 11, 2024
- linshuyi0 contributionsBird lover? Definitely come! Not a bird lover? Still come - they’re beautiful!I have been here twice and LOVE this place! It’s truly a must visit for tourists and locals. Around 250 different species, and unlike the bird park in Singapore, we are allowed to touch birds and have them perch on us!Written December 16, 2023
- Bby850 contributionsBird Lovers' heavenBali Bird Park, located close to Ubud, is a place to learn about, enjoy, and appreciate gorgeous exotic birds. It's fun for people of all ages, not just kids. If you've always wanted to see the birds of paradise, this is the place for you. The admission ticket for 2 adults was around IDR 700 000, so it's pretty expensive but worth it. Please note that if you would like to visit the Reptile Park right next door, you need a separate ticket for that. The bird park has beautifully landscaped greenery with some free range birds like peacocks, swans, and others whose name I don't know. Most birds, like the endangered Bali starling are in caged enclosures. There is a large enclosed free-range area, where the birds can roam freely. In this area we saw the stunning Victorian Crowned pigeon, many small parrots, and other small birds, a white peacock etc. We got to feed the parrots with the help of the staff, which was really fun. Other cool birds that you will see here are some of Papua New Guinea's birds of paradise (Lesser bird of paradise, Red bird of paradise, Victorian crowned pigeon, and King bird of paradise are the ones I am aware of). You may not be able to spot all of these glorious birds, however, as they may be hiding in the greenery of their enclosure when its really hot out. There is a cool traditional Balinese house, which houses a few species of owls. Other birds that I saw were South American parrots, cockatoos, flamingoes, ibises, egrets, raptors, grey crowned cranes, golden pheasants, Australian pelicans, and many more. I loved the collection of hornbills. Such incredible birds. You can have professional photos taken of you with parrots with no obligation to buy. There are educational bird shows and kids' activities like egg painting. There is an on site restaurant to cool off as there is not much shade as you walk through the park. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There is a gift shop so you can get some nice souvenirs to remember your visit. We spent around 3.5 hrs. here, including time to have lunch. Definitely worth a visit!Written October 13, 2023

There were few birds show following interesting presentation and facts, feeding of Komodo dragon, pelicans, parrots - lots of fun and interactions with birds, it’s absolutely great “therapy” too!) There were adorable and rare species, even paradise bird! The park is not very big, but that its advantage! Really cool place for both adults and kids, we will definitely come back here! Special thanks to Mangtri for her super nice presentation and show!Written December 20, 2022
- 877alisdairs0 contributionsWorld ClassAn amazing place to learn about birds and for humans to interact with them in a sanctuary that is professionally operated. Being a person who generally does no support animals being kept in captivity to entertain humans, I left feeling the birds were being incredibly well looked after and cared for. There was a genuine love for the birds by all staff. Great place to visit.Written August 7, 2022

The kids really enjoyed play there. There are many kinds of birds of any species. Besides Increase knowledge for the children, children can add insight into play with the color and canvas and also they can express their hobbies. - 36krisst0 contributionsWhat a joyful dayWe attended a "summer vacation" event at Courtyard Nusa Dua. We can enjoy bird entertainment without the need to come to the zoo. It was so exciting, my son was so enthusiastic as the zookeeper explained about the bird. My son loves to paint, I am very happy when the hotel even brings artists to teach painting. Overall, it was a joyful day.Written July 14, 2022

We visited this park in December of 2019. The park itself is not that big. The ticket price is a little steep. I believe it was around 40$ for an adult. There are some caged birds and some that roam free around like peacocks, flamingos etc. The biggest highlight was seeing the group of flamingos from up close and walking right next to me. I also got to feed the parrots which were really fun to do.
They had a bird show just as we were leaving and showed birds such as vultures and eagles. We did not stay long for the show as the sun was beating on our skin. There were also a couple of stops where you could stop to get your photos taken with toucans or parrots. You can take photos for free on your phone but there is also a professional photographer that snaps a couple of photos and gives you a ticket so that you can view your photos at the end when you leave. We wanted to keep memorabilia so we got one of our photos developed into a frame. If I remember correctly it cost around 20$ for that. We spent around an hour and a half in the park and was fun to look around.

Best bird park I have been to. An amazing array of beautiful birds from around the world, many of which are tame and you can have sit on you for photos. Take your own photos there thought the ones they take are a bit expensive although nicely presented. Really outstanding enclosures and the large walk through multi level aviary is as good as anywhere in the world. The Komodo Dragons were a bonus and very impressive. For me a MUST do when in Bali. Outstanding place... loved it!

There are lots of exotic birds here and was a really great place to explore.we were impressed by the variety of birds and activities available. Main entry ticket gives you access to 4d movies, all bird shows, ability to take photos with birds on your arms. Unfortunately it rained during our visit so some birds were hard to see but still lots around. Highlight was the predetory bird show, very fun

The Bali Bird park was very pricey for Bali, especially when we didn't get to see any shows, feeding etc. We arrived at about 10:30am to the park and by about 11:30am it was pouring with rain. The staff at the park said that there would be no feeding of any of the birds until the rain had stopped. The rain was set in for the day so there was going to be no feeding. Very annoyed that on arrival, they had not said to us that we would not see any of the attractions at the park. If they had of told us that, we would not have wasted $40 NZD + each and would have come back another day.

Dear Karl
Our bird shows are staged in the open. The birds in them are flying freely, which they cannot do in an enclosure.
We are sorry you had bad luck with the weather. Unfortunately our shows cannot take place under heavy rain.
Thank you for raising your concerns over ticket pricing. This is an issue we are very sensitive to. Let us explain where the money goes.
Without us ever touching it, 12 percent of our entrance fee goes straight to the local government, of Bali’s Gianyar Regency, as a tourism tax. Bali Bird Park is by far the biggest payer of the tourism tax in Gianyar. The money is used for local schools, clinics and refuse collection; to tackle Bali’s growing problem with rubbish.
A further 10 percent of our entrance charge is distributed to our staff as a performance-related bonus, paid on top of their wages. We hope you saw our staff enjoy high morale. That is because by local standards they are well paid.
We also pay 25 percent tax on our operating profit. And three more taxes – staff income tax, sales tax paid to suppliers and service charge – amount to 11 percent of our gross revenue. All this makes us a very big generator of government revenue in an economy dominated by the informal (e.g. non-tax paying) sector.
On top of tax and the Park’s operating costs, ticket sales also pay for our bird welfare and conservation programmes.
One programme is for the care, rehabilitation and release of injured animals given to us by Indonesia’s Nature Conservation Agency, the BKSDA. The agency has rescued these birds from criminal trappers and traffickers. We take in up to a hundred of them each year. We nurse them back to health then release them back into the wild.
We also run a breeding-for-release programme for critically endangered species. These include the Bali starling, Javan hawk-eagle and Salmon-crested cockatoo. After we have hatched and raised these birds, we work with other release programmes across Indonesia to set them free.
Thank you for coming. We hope this explanation gives you greater satisfaction.
Regards
Pak Pande

My wife was very keen on bird park since it was her parents first international trip and they quite fond of nature and the bird park was not very disappointing. We were greeted by two peacocks and few very colorful parakeets right at entry. And the highlight of our trip was Guyu Guyu corner where they have amazing photo ops with many giant parrots which the handlers can keep on your wrist or shoulders and they can even help you take pictures in your phone (they took some amazing pictures by their camera, which we ended up buying digital versions of all pics for IDR 200K total).
The bird show was quite fun too especially for parents who were seeing something like this for the first time. The 4D show is quite average and very very skippable. The other exhibits are ok, the aviary was average too (we were expecting a lot, especially having been to an aviary in South Africa). The Komodos exhibit again was very skippable and average.
The park is disabled friendly and they were even gracious enough to lend us a wheel chair for mother (they only have one), else she would have found it difficult to walk. Overall the park felt small and with less bird variety for the price. I had much more fun in Jurong Bird Park in Singapore and if you have seen that, you can totally skip this.

There are many free-roaming birds that you can interact with! We could take pictures with the smaller birds perched on our hands. We can even interact with the birds if it allows us to, I even saw a cockatoo asking for some scritches from a visitor.. The free-roaming bigger birds like peacock and cassowary are really a blast to watch. If it rains, the park offers umbrellas free to use within the park. There is also an open-air cafe across the flamingo, a nice place to chill when it rains.
Right next door is the Bali Reptile park, another good option when you are in the area.

We have two kids 2 and 5, the day was interesting and we enjoyed the day. The park is not huge which I thought was good as you don’t spend hours walking around. Shows start at around 10 so good time to go an a couple of hours is enough time to see everything. There are shady parts so you and the kids are not in direct sunlight all the time and it’s reasonably priced. If you have time there is a reptile park next store.. so two Birds with one stone lol

We took our children and grandchildren for a day to the Bali Bird Park and the nearby Bali Reptile park ( all one admission). What a brilliant day too! We spent time browsing all of the exhibitions and we got up close and personal to quite a few of the animals.
We know it sounds a bit ‘touristy’ to want to have pictures of your grandchildren holding tame iguanas or cockatoos, macaws or even massive hornbills, but our $ also went towards their conservation and breeding efforts for the very rare and endangered Bali Mynah bird.
Please note that you need to organize transfers or a driver for the day as the park is a bit out of the way and taxi’s are not available.

Review : Park itself isn't big, but the show-looking-show-looking pattern just can't leave you unsatisfied. Birds look cared and loved. This place would be perfect for kids since even adult me were excited 😊

Spent 2 hours in the bird park in Bali. From the moment you walked in, the staff could not be more helpful. They explained what times were feeding sessions and where they were held. There was a gelato, coffee shop and restaurant. The facilities wete tidy and clean. We particulaly enjoyed the birds of prey swooping over our heads, and there was customer participation. Lots of colourful birds, definately worth a visit.
