The snorkeling aspect of this trip was a bit rough, you get there and are pretty much immediately put onto a boat and told to hop in the water for about 5-10 minutes at a time, with no time really to get over the inevitable sea sickness you'll face. If you can manage to move past the sea sickness and get your head under the water then you're definitely in for a treat, the underwater views (that I was able to hold back vomit for) are amazing, you'll see manta rays and coral reefs, and I'm sure other things I was unable to see. You'll unfortunately need to take off your flippers each time you enter the boat (safety reason) which can cause more motion sickness.
I'd HIGHLY recommend taking gravol and bringing a "QueaseEASE" for good measure.
As for the second half of the tour where you visit the beaches, this was unreal and the best part of our trip to Nusa Penida. The beaches are breath takingly beautiful, you will not be disappointed. The roads to get there are going to be very very rough and tight as Nusa Penida isn't quite ready for mass tourism. Our driver was an absolute legend and a very kind person, despite the roads being ridiculously cramped and crowded we never once felt unsafe. He literally climbed into a tree at a beach to take photos of us to ensure we had the best photos possible.
His name is Mr. Komang Westra and if you're able to request him I would! His English wasn't the strongest but I don't think you'll find a nicer driver to make your trip special.

Me and my wife booked this 2 days before we were meant to go on the excursion.
Unfortunately the next day my wife became unwell with vomiting! The organisers were incredibly understanding and even offered to refund us but we wanted to go so reviewed things the next day and we were feeling better so went 1 day after the initial booking.
After booking and paying you get a contact number and they can be contacted through WhatsApp and are very helpful
We paid for hotel pickup and was picked up at 6:20 am to go to Sanur
The boat ride took us by surprise so be warned! There is no port, you walk into the sea and climb up steps into the boat and you’ll be just above knee high in water so wear shorts and wear slippers. This is the same on both ends
Boat ride too about 1hr there but the return was about 40mins. Departed at 07:30 and return boat at 16:30
Once getting off the boat there is someone with a sign with your name on it who helps you throughout the whole day!
The day starts with snorkelling, I advise you change into your swim wear before getting onto the boat, unfortunately we didn’t see the mantas but it was still a great experience.
After snokerling there is a very basic area for you to shower and change which is good
After this you get into the car and go for lunch, the spot your taken to has good food, I recommend the noodles
Then you get to see the main sights and are taken by car and get off and have a bit of a walk around those sights!
There’s not enough time to go all the way down to Klingking beach if you wanted to do that!
After the boat ride back your driver from the morning will be there to take you back!
The day went very smoothly and we enjoyed seeing this other side of Indonesia!

My friend and I reached out to the tour company to book this tour, however starting from Nusa Penida as we were already on the island. They were willing to accommodate us and lower the price to adjust for our circumstances.
We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the harbor to sign up for and join a snorkeling group. Our guide and driver for the day, Wijaya, helped us seamlessly sign up for snorkeling, made sure we had our equipment and understood the process. He waited while we completed the snorkeling tour and then drove us to three locations: Kelingkling, Angel’s Billabong and Broken Beach. At each place he guided us through the safest pathways, took pictures and artistic videos of my friend and I and brought us to the lesser known lookouts and picture points. Plus, Wijaya always had music going and the ac running. Overall a wonderful experience!!

There were a few pros to this trip (hotel pickup / drivers throughout the day were on time and lovely as were the sightseeing spots) but there were quite a few cons as well. We headed onto the heavily crowded and fuel smelling boat to Nusa Penida. Upon arrival we had to wait around for 30-40 minutes before 25+ tourists boarded the boat we snorkelled off. I will put it simply - if you want a nice morning full of snorkelling like we were expecting, this is not the trip for you. We left at 9am and returned at around 10:15am - very disappointing considering we were under the impression that we would be snorkelling for 30 minutes at each of the 4 snorkelling spots, not 10 minutes! We were very excited for the snorkelling and most of the spots were so beautiful but we just wanted more time there. It felt very rushed and you didn’t get to the full experience before going back to land.
As mentioned, the guides were great and lovely especially our driver who took us to the beaches / lookouts but for what you’re paying and what you’re meant to be receiving, you don’t get your moneys worth.

This tour was booked through a tour operator in Nusa dua, which was fine andfairly priced. . Our driver picked us up at the designated time from our hotel and we arrived at the new port in saur at approximately 815 for what turned out to be a 930 fast boat crossing. This port is now a cattle crossing for boats and tours with organized chaos. You are herding from one location to a security station then a second inspection station then finally along with hundreds of other tourists placed onto speed boats for the 30 minute crossing, everyone arriving at the same time in penida island. You are then directed into a snorkel location for more admin duties and acquiring fins. You are then transported on another vessel with approx 30 people to the snorkel sites, they are crowded with snorkels and other boats from every tour company imaginable. The waters are crowded, and although some snorkel sites have impressive sightings, the water crowding and restricted locations do not make for an enjoyable day, 4 sites, choppy water, in 2 hours, but the trip over and back, the waiting, the small after snorkel lunch, more waiting and a crowded boat ride back to sanur port is not one I would do again. I was looking forward to a second booking but not after this overcrowding experience

The snorkelling was sensational - you visit several sites to see manta rays, turtles and coral teaming with tropical fish. The dive master was very helpful and ensured that we felt safe and confident and took the time to point out the sea life. We had gfish eating out of our hands. After snorkelling the driver takes you to a restaurant for lunch and then to several sights with magnificent views. The highlight of my week in Bali.

I’ve been on many tours in different countries (diving /snorkeling included). This is not one that I can suggest to most. No docks for the ferries. Not a problem or concern for me but rules out folks that are unsteady in active ocean settings. The snorkeling points are over crowded. Many of the boats stay running to stay oriented in the choppy water. This means a lot of exhaust. It felt like the Manta Ray was chased by the guide and tourists. There also might be some safety concerns given the amount of boats in the water with snorkelers. Some of the other stops were very beautiful. But filled with tourists posing for photos. Overall, I don’t have issues with the money spent but with the lost time spent doing this. If you do want to explore Nusa Pedina, I would suggest staying there and doing these activities on your own, and pass on the boat drop snorkeling.

as a teen who went with my dad this was an amazing experience I’ll remember for my whole life. the snorkel started a little rough on the boats as it was quite packed and rocky, but the snorkel sights progressively got better. I saw manta rays, turtles lots of fishes etc. pictures came put great and it was lovely to take in the scenes of the island as well as the friendly locals !!
After the snorkel a local drove us around, Komang was a great guide !! super friendly and safe, the scenes up to broken beach and klingkling beach were extraordinary, not to mention picture perfect!

Terrible 😞
One of the worst travel experiences ever.
Dangerous Overcrowding of boat, no support for the entire boat which was seasick. Jammed, crammed, diesel fumes, rough water, unsafe crowded snorkeling, people vomiting over you while you’re snorkeling.
Just yuk.
We spent $400 and it was basically incredibly unpleasant. I was embarrassed to submit my family to this.
I think people have been reviewing it too high.

We had an amazing day out with this tour group.
We opted for a private boat for $335 NZD and it was well worth it. Plenty of space, the tour guides were happy, kept us well informed about the areas and wildlife, focused on us and took plenty of photos for us.
Another tour group asked $1500NZD for the same package so this was a fantastic deal.
The weather was great and we were lucky enough to see a manta ray and turtles.
The hotel pickup and boat transfers were a breeze, just be aware of the pushy crowd trying to get on the boat from Nusa all at once.
