As the second highest peak visible from Dehradun, Top Tibba (Tibba means Mountain in Garwhali) is a beautiful trek located on the east of Suakholi village near Mussoorie. On clear days this trek offers a view of the complete Himalayan panorama and on exceptionally clear days Nanda Devi, 242 km to the east may be viewed. The trek also offers beautiful views of Shivalik hills and Doon Valley on the other side.
The Trek is best in early mornings before the sun gets too high up

We had an amazing time with Manish doing the top tibba trek from Mussorrie. Highly recommend for a short day trip with a great hike to see the greater Himalaya. Thank you for making our experience amazing Manish, from the guided trek, to the insights and philosophies on life and the snacks. It was all incredible. We even had a couple of beautiful dogs come along on the hike with us. Was so cool, thank you :-) :-)

Vipul and Manish picked us up from Rokeby about 8am, and after a 30 min ride, we started our hike up to Top Tibba. Easy to start with, as we walked up past a couple of small hillside villages. The path is a bit uneven, but well marked. Nice, cool day, and no clouds - perfect weather. Manish made great conversation, telling us about life in the area - the crops grown, the local customs and legends...was easy going all the way up except for the last 30 minutes or so, where there's no real trail to follow, and the ground gets v gravelly. Manish was of great help, helping us find our way up and suddenly we were at the top, and that expanse of the snow-capped Indian Himalayas stretching out right before us - made all the huffing and puffing up the hill worthwhile! We spent about 30 mins taking in the view, made even more special by Manish's hot mountaintop coffee!
The downhill was initially a bit tricky as we made our way past the gravelly bits, but then an easy amble past brooks and meadows, with just the sounds of birds and streams for company!
If you have a day to spare in Mussoorie, and would like to stretch your legs a bit, I'd highly recommend this hike. And Vipul & Manish at Yeti Outdoors make a great team - they go the extra mile to make sure you have an experience to remember!

Connected with Vipul to organize a day hike during our visit to Mussorie. He was very professional and cordial and great about communication. Gave lots of options and upfront about all aspects of the package. Hike was super fun, these are knowledgable guys who are out in the mountains a lot. Super fun. Thanks again!
