This tour is excellent, could learn a lot listening to my guide Rohit while walking through the old part of the city, ghats, cremation place and the many temples we can find on the way. Very good.

We have done several tours with Mukund and this was the best experience of our 3 weeks trip to India! Mukund is fluent in German and English. Having grown up in Varanasi, he seems to know everything about the city, the people, the culture and religous rituals. In addition it is very interesting to talk to him about India in general and the life of his family in particular. You learn a lot during a day trip. Even our two boys in puberty found it very interesting. Mukund is an absolute must when visiting Varanasi!

Hinduism to its spectacular level it is a challenge to go there, I mean to arrive, the traffic and the crowd are without equal then, it is a challenge to be in the boat, to be part of the boats platform, then to see the procession and to hope your boat will manage somehow not to be crashed by that boat crowd and then, the same crowd and traffic, to escape :) of course, we met a cow, with no traffic or crowd problems India, my love

If you plan to visit Varanasi then book with Unique Experiences. We had an awesome two days with our friendly guide who by the way speaks perfect German. He gave us so much background information not only about the sights of Varanasi but whole India. Everything was perfectly organized.

A perfect way to start the day in Varanasi - The morning boat trip was a very relaxed but interesting way to start a day in Varanasi and I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn a bit more about the city / culture and see the city from a different perspective. My guide (Mr Rohit) was informative, approachable and friendly, providing useful insight and answering even my most ridiculous questions. He took the tour at an easy pace, giving me plenty of time to absorb and not just be overwhelmed with information. What set the tour apart were the small touches I haven't seen provided elsewhere - meeting me directly at my hostel, a good cup of chai halfway, a trip to the sands on the opposite bank for some alone time etc. These were really appreciated and added to the relaxed feeling of the experience. As an aside, the young boatman had great control and his calm navigation added to the feeling of comfort.

Sonu is a great guide. He arranged an evening boat ride and city walk tour for us. The next day he booked a driver who took us to visit Sarnath and later to the airport. Great knowledge and understandable English accent :) I recommend Varanasi sightseeing with him.

Good experience with the boat for sunrise. We spent more or less two hours sailing the Gange river and we had the possibility to see how the sky's colours change as well as traditional life along the banks river. Sonu explained us a lot of things about Indian culture. I really suggest this experience.
