It was indeed a journey of a lifetime for me! Prakash is an excellent tour guide and makes you feel safe and comfortable in the mysterious city of Varanasi that is a universe of temples in itself. Simply put, Varanasi is the headquarters of the Hindu religion and perhaps has thousands of temples that are located in deep streets that cannot be followed on a google map. Among the huge plethora of temples, Prakash took me on a dedicated tour and we targeted the main and the most important temples such as the Kashi Vishwanath, Sankat Mochan, Durga temple and several others. I was extremely fortunate to have Prakash as my guide as without his hemp it is impossible to reach the temples located in deep street alleys. Prakash is an honest, motivated and a very knowledgeable tour guide. When I toured Varanasi with him, I was lucky to be his sole tourist and got complete attention and personal connect with him. We had a detailed discussion on several spiritual topics and Prakash was very patient to explain all my doubts. Prakash was kind enough to take me on a ride on his personal bike to such temples that were located on a slight outskirts of the city as well as to those temples that were located in deep alleys where only an experienced bike rider like Prakash can drive a bike. Prakash is a born veteran of Varanasi and has his fifth generation staying in the city. So, he is absolutely well versed and also well connected in terms of contacts all around the city. I took a personalised ride boat ride along all the Ghats of Ganga in a very reasonable price because of Prakash's contacts. Also, Prakash helped me shop for souvenirs such as handmade ittars (fragrances), silk clothes and silk shawls. All these items were locally made and Prakash was able to take me to reasonable shops that produced these items. Overall, I would highly recommend Prakash as your guardian angel in Varanasi. Even as a girl, you can completely trust Prakash as he has a very positive vibe and can be truly a big asset when you have to cover the grounds of Varanasi in a shirt span of time. In two days, I went around Varanasi and still could not get enough of the beautiful city. I am surely visiting again and will no doubt go for Prakash - my LIGHT source in Varanasi (Prakash means light). :) Thank you for all the kindness and the reasonable charges for the tour Prakash.

We had a very interesting full day private tour with Prakash covering many temples and the various sights of Varanasi - it did include a lot of walking! Prakash is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and gave a thorough insight into the Hindu aspects of both the history and current day life in India. He found us great seats above the crowds at the Aarti ceremony in the evening and also arranged an excellent private sunrise boat trip on the Ganges for the following day, possibly the highlight of the tour. We would thoroughly recommend using his services and would suggest researching and discussing with him the content of the tour in advance.

Starting 2023 with Prakash was the best way to kick-off the new year!
I knew that I wanted to view the ghats of Varanasi from the waters of Mother Ganga at sunrise on New Year’s Day, and to learn and experience as much as possible in my limited time in this amazing city and booking with Prakash allowed me to accomplish this goal.
My time with Prakash also allowed me to get to know a world-class tour guide. I’ve been a solo traveler for many years and have worked with many guides in many countries, and Prakash is now at the top of that list.
When traveling alone, having a masterful guide allows a great experience to become an amazing one, and that happened due to Prakash. His vast knowledge of Varanasi/Banaras/Kashi, its history, his personal experience living there, and his informed thoughts and opinions enhanced every moment of our time together and for that I am so grateful.
Toward the end of our time together, Prakash asked me if there was anything that I had not accomplished while in Varanasi. I checked my list … “Is it possible to find malaiyo?” Prakash smiled, and we hunted down a malaiyo seller. As we enjoyed this special winter morning treat, Prakash reminded me that we’d both get to enjoy the saffron milk from the bottom of the batch – so delicious! Thanks, Prakash!

Prakash’s storytelling abilities truly bring to life the rich history, traditions and life in Varanasi. He answered all of our questions, took us to a delicious Lassi spot and made me feel welcomed. I felt very safe walking through the city and he made sure we got a good price for a tuktuk to our next tour. Varanasi is truly a special place and when I return I will be sure to book with him again.

The guide is really an amazing person, very friendly and you can definitely feel its love to share information about Varanasi and the indian culture. He was always available all the time I asked questions (I asked MANY) and made my trip to Varanasi the best I had in India. As a solo traveler I sometimes had problems with other guides, Prakash on the other hand made everything smooth, his English level is impressive (never had communication problems). I totally suggest him for your trip in India!

We spend a lovely day with Prakash. He showed us so much in one day while taking a lot of time. He knows a lot of the gods in Varanasi and explains everything you asking for about this city. The hustle and bustle of this city makes it a little difficult to explore it on your own. A guide like Prakash makes it understandable and guides you among all the impulses Varanasi constantly fires on you.

The tour was more than what we hoped it would be and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a guided tour of Varanasi.
Our guide, Prakash bhai, was on time to pick us up at our hotel. Our tour started with a brief history of Varanasi, and then we went on to complete the itinerary as planned. What makes Prakash bhai stand out is his ability to connect to you as a person and not just a hired guide. He made us feel like we were couple of friends strolling the city.
So, to anyone who is looking for a guided tour of Varanasi, Prakash bhai gets an easy recommendation from us. He will go above and beyond to help you have the best experience.

Prakash is one of the best tour guides I've ever had! We did the walking tour in Varanasi. The tour kept getting better and better from the moment he picked us up from our hotel. Prakash is a really funny guy, which made the entire day of walking just a breeze.
He went above and beyond and showed us around the entire day, hours longer than the scheduled "three hours" tour. He was buying us water, chai, rickshaw rides out of his own pocket.
I'll be referring my friends and family who visit Varanasi to get a tour with Prakash, and I would highly recommend anyone who's visiting Varanasi to do the same!

We had one of the most gratifying travel experiences in Varanasi. Varanasi hit me differently and if it wasn't for the guided tour that Prakash set for us I don't think I would have managed to explore the city the way I did.
Being the spiritual capital, the streets of Kashi could sometimes be a little overwhelming and confusing ( even for Google maps).
But with Prakash, it was a fun escapade walking through the narrow alleys, exploring the best of the street foods and visiting the historic temples that remind you of the incomparable heritage of Kashi.
Highly recommend Prakash if you want to see beyond the Kashi Vishwanath temple.

The best day exploring the colourful winding back streets, hidden temples and spiritual ghats of Varanasi. Prakash is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer any and all questions I had so that I left with a much deeper understanding of the history and story of this ancient city. He made sure I was well looked after, took me to the best lassi spot and showed me the perfect place to watch the evening aarti from. He even knew when to give me time and space to just sit and take in the peacefulness of mother Ganga as well as suggesting some delicious eateries and helping me set up a Tuk Tuk to Sarnath for the next day. I cannot recommend this friendly local man highly enough!

When you have your initial guide trip with Prakash, if you like him, then book him for a further tour and then you can go longer with him.
Most tours that have context and meaning are about relationship, and feeling comfortable.
