My friend and I had a brilliant trip with Vishal (Guide) and Taufiq (driver). I am from the US and my friend is from India. His parents actually live in Lucknow and everyone was a bit skeptical that a tour would be worth it since they were so familiar with the area. My Indian friend had also been to most of the places that we visited. In the end, he admitted that the tour was well worth it and that he learned so many things that he didn't know even as an Indian and even as someone who knows a lot about the history of Lucknow and India. Vishal is an extremely studied and insightful man. We also appreciated that he didn't rush us at any point. In fact, he would often tell us about an option extra at many of the sites we saw. Eg: "If you go here and take these stairs there's actually a great view" or "it's worth it if you walk around the back because you can see this one special thing". We were also grateful that they drove so far to pick us up near our family's home and just how incredibly friendly and thorough they both were.

The view to the part that was shown to us was lovely. We had a good walk. However, I expected to go into more by lanes, but I think the main area itself was vast enough. Moreover, it was Bakrid, so the shops in the last lane that we went were closed. Otherwise, this was a good walk, and we had an understanding guide, who made it possible for my elderly parents also to experience the city.

Lucknow is rich in history, culture and cuisine, and December weather is ideal for exploring the city. The flip side is that there is too much smog. That said, we really liked how the tour was organized, and our very knowledgable and pleasant guide Vishal.

We arrived in Lucknow in the afternoon and Vishal’s tour gave us a great intro to the city on our first evening. We enjoyed seeing the monuments at night and walking through the chowk and learning from Vishal who was charming and so knowledgeable. The kulfi was delicious!

Vishal is a pleasant friendly young guide with good English and a keen interest in his clients. He was very flexible and coped well with a group of rather slow senior tourists. The car was new and clean with a good driver. The tour is as much or as little as you want. Communication via whatsapp was perfect. Well done Vishal.
