        Fascinating trips impecably organised
Twice our Indian trips were impecably organised by MTA, Karnataka, Goa, Mumbai in 2022 and North East India in 2023. Above all, we wish to thank Mr. Manish Jadon for his professionalism, awareness, efficiency and swift responses to our noumerous queries. We will definately return for a future trip in the area.

A TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH MTA
I booked MTA through @TourRadar. This was one of the worst experiences by an Agency that specializes in short charging its customers. I booked a Ladakh and Srinagar trip. till the last moment they were shopping for the worst hotels to stay. At every instance they did NOT hesitate to lie. Their drivers were callous and messed up the itinerary and experience. Unfortunately TOUR RADAR did not intervene even though I was providing feedback and pictures on the TOUR RADAR Portal. In Leh they kept shifting the Hotel from Rafica to Chonjor Residency- a hotel they claimed was a 3 star but used NEWSPAPERS for Curtains on their windows- no heating- unclean room. Their first driver had a cracked windshield and lost me one day because he was not carrying the proper Snow Chain. MTA LIED to Tour Radar stating that the day was lost due to a landslide and that LADAKH and Srinagar do not have good quality Hotels. The Driver to Sonmarg/Srinagar skipped Sonmarg leg as he had already booked a return trip and would not spend an extra day. Each one of them callously missed the recommended points. After the trip I did complain to TOUR RADAR. They were sympathetic but expressed helplessness as they said they were in a "CONTRACT" with MTA. I would strongly HESITATE to recommend MTA simply becuase of the ease with which they lied to me and to TOUR RADAR- character matters. I would also not support another trip with TOUR RADAR as at no time did they intervene with MTA during the trip even though my feedback was on the TOUR RADAR portal and the smoothness with which they closed the chapter.

Cool place but the service was just ok
Cool place to see. The guide was good, but they skipped 2/5 stops on the list. The driver didn’t know where he was going in Gwalior and had to stop for directions a dozen times. Overall just ok.

For the one who loves the animals
Everything was perfect from day 1 to day 13. All Hotels were carefully selected, our driver Jwala and the spacious car were the jackpot of the tour. We have visited all the prominent placed known for royal bengal tiger but we loved the most Ranthambhore National park (because there we saw tiger 2 times ;). Jhalana safari is not so worthy as it is still not fully prepared and lack the proper facilities and maintenance. Overall a good trip. Thanks to Team MTA

One of the best experiences of life
I’ll start off by saying that this trip and our experience were nothing short of amazing. Manish made sure the trip perfect from beginning to end. The private tours guides were incredibly knowledgeable and created a very memorable experience for us. After Leh, we headed to the Nubra Valley, and this is where it got even more special. The tour guide, went out of his way to ensure I had the perfect engagement spot to surprise my girlfriend (now fiancé) - we will forever remember that incredible gesture. I can’t say enough to do justice to the beauty and history of these stops. This felt like a once in a lifetime trip, and if you don’t book this - you’ll certainly be missing out on one of the best experiences in India.

        A very well organised tour
The tour was very well planned and co-ordinated by the agency. The itinerary was awesome. All the travel arrangements were very well handled with excellent food, clean and comfortable accommodation. It was so relaxing. The guide did an excellent job in providing detailed information on places that were visited and took care to help each member at all times during the tour. Overall a fantastic experience!

        Incredible India with MTA
I had MTA customize a trip for me during the Omicron wave which included a week in the Golden Triangle and another week in Amritsar and Kashmir. What a phenomenal experience! First time to India and I only scratched the surface, but thanks to the folks at MTA, I was well taken care of and packed in a number of sites and experiences. The price tag for my last-minute trip was worth every rupee. To note, I'm American and living in Bangladesh, so travel during the pandemic was much easier for me. I'm an adventurer who enjoys basic comforts, so I opted for three-star hotels and love walking 10 kilometers a day during my journeys. I traveled during winter break at the end of December and early January, so it was sweater or coat weather every day. I'll eat local food on the street (within reason) since I am exposed to this in Dhaka, Bangladesh. For those abroad thinking of traveling to India - book a tour with MTA. You won't be disappointed. I reached out through TourRadar online and found MTA. Within 48 hours, the professional online organizers had my trip itinerary finalized according to my requests, and then made modifications based on my wants. Within 96 hours of beginning my research, I was on a plane to India, free e-visa in hand. They even helped me book a hotel and airport transport on my last day in Delhi (after the tour ended). My friends booked a similar India trip through rival company and were a week ahead of me. I quickly discovered through their posts that their experience was full of holes - the tour operators wouldn't allow them to go certain places because of the package they'd booked, or their guide hours were limited, and the price didn't include paid admission to ticketed sites. MTA was different. I was on a solo tour, which helped, but my guides were accommodating and professional. On more than one occasion, they altered the pattern of the tour based on my requests. I wanted to stay longer and peruse the shops in Delhi's Chandni Chowk near the Red Fort for an extra hour, including exploring some quiet neighborhoods. One guide took me hiking in a national park near Srinagar in Kashmir. Another guide took me up the gondola to Gulmarg in a lovely snow shower and instead of pressuring me to ride the snow bikes or pay for sled rides (which were plentiful), he was quite content with sitting and talking with me over a couple of masala chais in a snow tent, which is all I wanted. In Jaipur, I was not ethically comfortable riding the elephants to Amer Fort, so we toured the fort and then visited the sanctuary where the elephants are housed instead as a last minute addition. Everywhere I went, the people were friendly and welcoming (and surprised to see an American). Every guide went the extra mile for me, were knowledgeable, gave clear instructions for meeting times, and personable with guests. Command of English was also excellent. There was no pressure for tips, but I gladly tipped each one for their expertise and time. The drivers were terrific and courteous. Command of English was less confident, but we still conversed for many of our rides around the Golden Triangle and in Kashmir. My Golden Triangle driver had hand sanitizer, masks, and gave me bottled waters each day. He even stopped along the roads when I requested to get pictures of the blooming mustard fields. In Kashmir, the driver was good, but fell ill halfway through our trip which added some extra stress as covid surged. All ended up being well; he drove me to get a test (negative), and to be safe, he stayed home the last day and arranged for his friend to drive me to the airport instead for safety. Drivers were always waiting at the airport exit gates. One driver even took me to a local wool shop in Kashmir to buy a hat and gloves for the winter weather. Driving in India can be intense, but they traveled safely and professionally on the roads. The hotels were comfortable, and the food from each one got better and better. My favorite meals were in Jaipur and Kashmir. The showers can be low flow at times, and in Kashmir, energy-saving measures can mean no hot water during certain times of day. The rooms were clean and mostly quiet, but I recommend a white noise app because the street noise outside in any city can keep you up. Some of the mattresses were firm, such as in hotels in Kashmir, but plenty of blankets helped with the cushioning. They were also centrally-located instead of being in bad neighborhoods or far away from towns or transport. Every hotel manager had knowledge of English. The tour managers checked in on me frequently, helped arrange my Covid tests when needed, and were eager for feedback. They communicated each day with guides and drivers, and kept me updated on the changing Covid situation in India. I felt 100% confident they had my back in any situation. They were friendly and open to constructive feedback if the need arose. The itinerary, vouchers, and plane confirmations were all ready for me in a cute handbook on arrival. We stayed in touch through WhatsApp, so it was never intrusive. They made this tour one of the best trips of my life. Thank you, Manish and Manish! I cannot sing the praises of MTA enough. From start to finish, my trip to India was well-planned, thoughtfully modified, and garnished with little surprises that made each day magical. Hiccups happen on any trip, and they saw me through each one with helpful and professional courtesy. Advice: 1. Buy a SIM card upon arrival. It makes the first day a bit more complicated because you have to wait for it to activate, and you need a wifi signal for that to happen, but it's worth it to be able to call your guide or driver when out exploring. Wifi is available in most restaurants, but requires an India phone number for verification to join the network. I didn't buy a SIM card and it was fine, but some transitions would have been easier if I'd had a working phone. 2. Change your money on the street in India (from a trusted business stand) and you will get a much better rate than the airport. Your guides can offer the best advice on this. 3. Mentally prepare for tipping about 70-100 rupees for most interactions, including doormen, room service, and waiters. While activities are paid for, tips are expected, whether warranted or not. This adds up. Plan for about 2000 rupees on tips a day on average. I happily tipped my drivers and guides more than this because they were excellent. (There is no obligation to tip a lot). 4. Do not offer “donations” of money to shopkeepers instead of buying their products. This is a huge insult that I found out the hard way by having good intentions. Don’t be afraid to say no (politely and repeatedly). Some will outright beg for your business, like sled-pullers in the Himalayas, or boats on Dal Lake in Srinagar. Times are tough, but you can say no. 5. Follow local customs and traditions as a sign of respect. Taking your shoes off before entering temples, etc. 6. Get out and explore these cities on foot. Take the Delhi metro and walk through Lodi Gardens. Explore Jaipur’s neighborhoods around the hotel. Walk along Dal Lake in Srinagar in Kashmir. Eat in the kitchens at the Golden Temple. I felt safe the entire time I was in India, but like anywhere, don’t take unnecessary risks. Kashmir is heavily fortified with soldiers on duty since it’s in the disputed region near Pakistan, but I was never hassled. 7. It’s veg and non-veg for options. Beef is almost impossible to get, but chicken and mutton are plentiful. Dive in to local food. Get masala chais in the terra cotta cups on the street. They’re boiled and safe and delicious. Hot milk at night in Amritsar was also a highlight. 8. Have a white noise app for sleep to help drown out street noise. This is a rule of thumb when I travel in Europe, too. Hotels are social places in India, and some are located in bustling neighborhoods so drown out the honking.

        Ok, but improvement required
Overall the tour was ok, but there were some major sticking points. Below are in order of severity. Hopefully MTA can take these on board and avoid these issues for future guests 1) the biggest issue was that 2 of the hotels that we were told were booked were replaced by 2 inferior hotels. There was no communication about the change until we unexpectedly arrived at one of the other hotels. The messages on tour radar clearly read "these have been booked" , but I was told that this only meant they were going to instruct their staff to book these, and that there must've been issues with availability. Upon complaining the 2nd hotel switch was reverted back to the original hotel after we debated whether the hotels were equivalent. Not according to me when I compared the reviews and ratings online. In the end the 2nd hotel was switched back, so i'll give credit to the manager (Manish) there. However this shouldn't have happened at all, and we were stuck with the first hotel swap. We also saw the original hotel was almost empty when we stayed there, so clearly the excuse of changing the hotel last min because of availability doesn't stack up 2) our first day of tour coincided with india national day holiday. When we booked we were not told that some of the sites and roads would be closed. I ended up prompting the manager after realising there would be large impacts after arriving in Delhi. We should've been advised of this, or at best, our tour dates should not have been available. We ended up missing out on Ghandi's tomb visit, and couldn't get anywhere close to Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. We also had to take the metro with our guide instead of the pre-arranged driver. The metro ride took much longer, required some extensive walking, and was a case of sardines on some legs. When i complained about missing out on sites i was told we could do them the last day of the tour when we arrive back in Delhi, however there was no follow up on these promises 3) kalakho village tour is NOT worth it. The only activity was being taken to a village just 5 min behind the hotel off a dirt road to watch the villages make chipati. Whole visit took 30 minutes. The rest of the day we just lounged around the hotel since theres nothing to do in the surrounds. The Umeid Lake Palace hotel was also not great. -our room lost power at least 5 times for spans of around 10-30 minutes each. When we finally complained and got it fixed they explained it was a wiring problem -doors are locked with a latch and massive industrial size padlocks. These padlocks are so big that theres little clearance to actually stick your key in there to lock & unlock. This also means you can be locked in your room if someone decides to pull the latch across from the outside. Not great if theres a fire. Rooms are also a little cold and foreboding 4) Fatehpur Sikri - we were assigned a site tour guide for this place, and it seems all the local guides are in on a scam involving pressuring guests to donate money to the mosque within the complex for scattering flower petals over a piece of cloth. You can read more about this online if you search for Fatehpur Sikri and scams on tripadvisor. I'm guessing the guides get kick backs from this scam. Although the guide is not part of MTA, i'm sure they are aware of this operation and should've warned us before hand. Another friend of mine went with a different tour operator and they didn't even use the local guides as this scam is common knowledge 5) only provided with one small bottle of water each, when it should've been two bottles. We also didn't see our driver every day so no bottles at all those days. May seem like a small thing, but when theres no shops close by some of the hotels and you're advised to even brush your teeth with filered water then it does become important!
