- hannahbJ463ZH00If you need a guide, as for VJ!!VJ took us to the Agra Fort, then Itmad-ud-daula (Baby Taj), with some stops for lassie and street food along the way. He was very accommodating, allowing us to organise it very last minute and taking is wherever we wanted to go. VJ is incredibly knowledgeable, our experience with him was fantastic, we very much enjoyed all he had to tell us. He is also very easy going, fun to talk to, and easy to understand. If you need a guide, as for VJ. You won't regret it!!
- K417NGoliverp00Taj Mahal photo tourThe tour is all you need for Taj Mahal. Great photo ops, if you are into that. Took us to an okay, but touristy place for breakfast.
- Hash4eva00Holi Celebrations at Mathura & Vrindavan by Agra BeatI came across this wonderful travel group called Agra Beat, through one of my good friends. They organize some great travel expeditions and niche cultural tours around Agra & parts of North India. While glancing through their website, one such unique trip that caught my eye was the lovely ‘Holi Celebrations in Mathura & Vrindavan’ Holi is the festival of colours in India and is celebrated with a lot of pomp and show. It is one of the biggest festivals in North India & is also celebrated across the country with loads of festivities. Mathura & Vrindavan is the birth place of Lord Krishna & this festival holds particular significance in these parts where is gets celebrated with lot of enthusiasm, joy and merriment. It almost goes on for an entire week of festivities with Holi celebrated in different forms, with colours, flowers & petals, lots of dancing & music, traditional yummy delicacies & fun. We were absolutely thrilled and overjoyed to join Agra Beat’s Holi celebrations in Mathura & Vrindavan, it was such a unique cultural experience & we truly enjoyed the festivities with splashing of colours, water balloons & some yummy holi delicacies. We were a mixed group of travelers, some local & international tourists who travelled from Agra to Mathura & Vrindavan for Holi. Our Tour leader Amit & Vijendra from Agra Beat, made sure it was a well-organized & safe journey, we were looked after with utmost care and got treated to some wonderful hospitality. We made some great friends on the tour & shared some great fun moments. We have fond memories of our Holi celebrations at Mathura & would highly recommend this trip if you want a slice of life from Indian culture & loads of excitement & fun. Thanks a ton to Agra Beat for a magnificent trip! We loved it! Nomadic Soul (Hash) :)
- aroramukesh00Unforgettable experienceCycle trip with agra beat was awesome. Team of the Co. Was very helpful and friendly. I will highly recommend it.
- Juliestraede00Very nice bicycle tourIt was so cool to see the countryside of India and to visit a family om the other side of the crazy City Life.
- lizbateman6400Something different to do in AgraWe went on a great bicycle ride with VJ from countryside bicycle tours(CBT) He guided us safely through the city and countryside surrounding Agra, pointing out interesting things along the way. We visited a local family who were very friendly even though we couldn’t speak the same language. The chai we had here was one of the best we have had in India! Great to see CBT supports a local school and is making a difference to the lives of the village children. I have been to the Taj before but I haven’t seen it from this angle -spectacular. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend countryside bicycle tours
- pallavinagesh9400Street food at Agra with VijayWe were on trip to Agra and "Street food tour in Agra" was part of our Trip Package by make my trip. Vijay took us for food street and made us taste some yummy dishes. @agrabeats Vijay company made us happy as much the delicious food did. we never expected a stranger can be so friendly and trust-able. Vijay you rock !!!!!!!!
- PeterGslade00Local village bike tour with VijayThe bike ride with Vijay, stopping at a temple next to the Taj Mahal, and then visiting a local school and family, was one of the highlights of our 10 days in India. Vijay was friendly and informative, and it felt that for once we weren’t on a well trodden tourist trail. With Vijay we experienced local hospitality that we would never have been able to otherwise. Highly recommended!!
- Bassambab1000Amazing cycling tour in agracountrysidebicycletour by agrabeat One of the best cyclingtour I have ever had. I visited some village’s and farmers in agra city near tajmahal with the great tour guide Amit . رحلة دراجة في مدينة اقرا بالقرب من تاج محل من أجمل رحلات الدراجة التي قمت بها وخاصة انها تمر بالمزارع والقرى 👍
- 13GillyM00Rajasthan and Deli with ChildrenWe enjoyed two great tours with Amit of Agra Beat. The flavours of Agra tour took us through Agra to sample the food in the old town market. We sampled buffalo milk and samosas, naan straight from the tandoor and beetle leaves. Amit was full of information and fun and we really enjoyed the tour and tried food we would have been unsure of trying.
- stephen l00Experience real India outside AgraWe had a great time with Vijay who made sure we were safe on our tour, taking us into the adjoining countryside and introducing us to local farmers and explaining how they farmed the land. A local farmer pulled and cleaned a couple of radishes for us, but these looked more like parsnips. Also we stopped and chatted to local ladies about there life on the land.
- MckendrickG00The bestReally loved this tour, VJ was excellent and the food was divine. So full up after. Very interesting to see how they make the food and local spots we would never have known about if it wasn’t for this tour. We had a wonderful evening, thank you VJ!

My husband and I spent a few days in Agra recently and booked to go on this tour with AgraBeat because we were interested in seeing this area of the city. We were picked up from our hotel on time by our excellent guide Amit who guided us through the railway station and over the bridge into a part of the city we would never have ventured into on our own. Amit took us through the streets to places of interest where we met some lovely local people and tried some of the food being prepared at the various street stalls. At no time did we feel uncomfortable or nervous about being there – it was a wonderful experience and we can’t thank Amit and AgraBeat enough for enabling it for us. Thank you so much Amit from your friends in Scotland.

After seeing the Taj Mahal and Red Fort, I spent the afternoon exploring the Old City of Agra with VJ as my guide. This was a really special experience--VJ has developed relationships with a local temple and several local businesses, which gave me a very personal experience to interact with local folks and made me feel welcome in places I wouldn't normally have gone. My favorite part was being inside a Hindu temple during a service and being invited and encouraged to take pictures of everything. VJ translated some of the service for me, and then let me sit quietly for a while to take it all in. Thank you so much, VJ, for an amazing afternoon!

Amit was a wonderful guide for the Discovering Oriental Agra tour (information available on the agrabeat website). The walking tour through the lanes of old Agra was fun and Amit obviously had very good relationships with every local food stall and shop owner we encountered. If you would like to see Agra beyond the monument circuit and get a real taste for life in the city, choose Agra Beat!
