Our guide, Yogendra messaged us several times to confirm booking and to coordinate meeting on the morning of our tour. This is was very reassuring. We walked on a rather hot day so he was always pointing out places to get a drink. We took plenty of water with us anyway. Yogendra had a great knowledge of the history of the city from when it was founded, the creation of the lakes and the big palaces and the culture and religion of the area. He also had lots of little bits of information about the architecture and history of many small buildings that you could easily walk past without noticing. The roads we walked were narrow and busy with traffic but it can’t move very quickly. We soon learnt to just keep walking and it avoids you! Our tour started at 9am and we were back at our hotel by 2pm. We were given the opportunity to use a Tuktuk to shorten the route from our hotel but it was a walking tour and we chose to walk. It gave more time to chat. The Grand Palace had an extra entry fee but if you are over 60 years take ID and get in half price! We took our tour in English but he is also fluent in German and has travelled widely in Germany.

Yogendra is a great guide. He arranged an excellent safe driver Khan for a multi day tour from Jodphur through Ranakpur and Mt Abu ending in Udaipur. This driver and car was the best and safest we had on our whole trip in India. Yogendra was easy to work with, checked in on our journey multiple times. When I met him in Udaipur he gave my parents and I a wonderful tour of Udaipur- he knows much about history, has a great demeanor, was kind and flexible with my parents who are in their 80s. He was very open to doing anything we wanted and to help us in any way with the rest of our stay. Highly recommend him for any kind of tour in the area!

We had an excellent tour of this vibrant and historic city with Yogendra, our charming and intelligent guide. He collected us from our hotel and took us on a wonderful walking tour around the historical and religious sights, sharing his knowledge with wit and generosity. We learnt so much about Udaipur and about the religious culture and beliefs that underpin the wider Indian context. It was a pleasure to spend time with him; a very happy memory to take away with us. We highly recommend.

Our walking guide, Anand, was so helpful. We were unable to make the time arranged and at last minute he agreed to meet us in the afternoon instead. Anand is a smart, well presented and knowledgable English speaking man who walked us all around the town to areas we would have never visited. He talked us through customs, what to buy and what not to buy, historical points, recent and ancient history and, when visiting the Hindu temple, pointed to the meanings behind the incredible carvings - so interesting. This is a great tour which I would highly recommend.

Our guide was fantastic and very flexible with our schedule. He took us to some wonderful places and explained everything very well. I would recommend anybody who has a day in Udaipur to do this walking tour!

Anand was an outstanding guide for my wife and I on a walking tour of old Udaipur; he was personable, knowledgeable, and extremely adaptable to our interests. Anand is highly informed about Udaipur and all the sights we saw, and was able to explain them clearly (in English), and we especially appreciated that he didn't "over-explain", so we didn't feel inundated with information, but stimulated by what he shared. The route we took was completely altered to our interests, and he stayed with us well beyond the appointed completion time to be sure that we were fully satisfied. We never felt rushed or pushed; we also had very interesting conversations with him about India. Overall we highly recommend him to any future guests or visitors.

Amazing tour with professional guide. We felt that walking was best to go around the city as the roads are narrow and traffic was busy. All the questions we had were answered with detailed insights. He even helped us get to the monsoon palace after the tour. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a half day tour!

We were visiting from California and this was my partner’s first time in India. Our guide went out of his way to make this an amazing experience for us — arranged comfortable hotel pick up at last moment, guided my partner (female) around history and experience of palace and old town udaipur, even helped her feel comfortable walking the busy streets. I was feeling sick on the day of the actual tour so he regularly found places I could rest. Overall, my partner was thrilled with the experience (and she had a high bar and expectations) and we both had a great time in udaipur due to this tour!

Our guide Yogendra was very informative and allowed us to take our time understanding the history and culture from Udaipur. We saw and learnt things we otherwise wouldn’t and it was really interesting!

We were so lucky to have Yogendra as our guide. He was exceptional. Yogendra showed us not just the tourist sights in Udaipur's old city but more importantly a slice of everyday life. He shared his knowledge with such enthusiasm, and tailored the morning to our interests. My wife, who is a teacher, especially appreciated being invited into a classroom. But generally we delighted in seeing parts of old Udaipur we would never have discovered without Yogendra. You'll be very fortunate if you get him to show you around as well.

Hands down the best guide I’ve had my whole trip in India! Guide Anand was extremely knowledgeable and kind, providing excellent detail and color to every stop on our journey. He met me at my hotel in the morning and gave the option of tuktuk or motorbike to get to our starting point, as cars can’t navigate the old city well. I picked the bike and he was a safe and excellent driver! The pace and tone of the tour was ideal, and I can’t recommend Anand highly enough!

Excellent tour with Anand. He knew so much and explained so well, in really good English. He was happy to stay and show me so many other things, as well as old town, vita Palace and temples, we visited gardens (my wish) as well as a lake and a hill top view of the city.
