Do not hesitate, this is a once in a lifetime kinda trip.
A great drive with Mahendre from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer, amazing accomodation in an anciet Haveli, then a short drive to the desert; blow mind camel walk/trot, sunset, amazing food and entertainment then a night sleeping outside under the stars.
And all beyond affordable.
