About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Connector512998875900 contributionsSafari tour close to Jailsamer. Nature and culture in the sandAll the family enjoyed the private desert experience! Rising a camel in the golden sands of the Thar desert was truly unforgettable. 🐪 But the desert isn’t just about sand; it’s a fascinating blend of nature and culture ( monuments such as temple, fort and people such as speaking with Indian and learning cooking) I highly recommend Fifu for the safari tourWritten March 11, 2024
- Ems_Gall0 contributionsMost beautiful desert tour with well treated CamelsThis was the best tour I have ever taken with camels (and I have done many). I say this because not only is the price good, but the camels are treated better than any camels I have ever seen. Abdullah is wise and speaks great English and treats the camels like his own children, really showing them so much love. They were not constrained and he often gave them wood and water and let them roam. Moreover, he really listens to everything you need and sets up the best lunch and sleeping spots. His food was also delicious. So if you go with Thar Desert Tours, ask to go with Abdullah :) Also if you come in December, make sure to bring extra warm clothes as it gets very cold at night (they have blankets, but it is still good to have clothes). Abdullah recommended that the best time frame to venture out to understand the region is from 4-14 days, but they also do 1 day to 3 week tours. The best part was how secluded my sister and I were from everything, sleeping on a mattress in the desert is more beautiful in my opinion than any campsite, because you can see the beautiful stars. :) Thank you for a beautiful experience!Written December 19, 2023
- gedie000 contributionsthe most amazing night everWe had the chance/ honnor to try the experience proposed by Meri haveli and Fifu, one night under the stars... it was just amazing experience (2nd time for me, 1st for my friend) we reached sand dunes by camel, this is also very funny and comfortable, not too hot because it's happening 2nd half of the day, very pleasant, very calm. Once arrived in the dunes, everything is ready to welcome us, the beds, a chai, very nice and kind people (just 2 lol, it's far enough), we could talk, cook with us, and enjoy the sunset in the dunes... The show is far to be ended, then you can enjoy the moon rise, and the stars who are coming with the night, it's so wonderful... under the blanket, you watch the magic show of mother nature... at the end of th world, in India, that's just... priceless...Mr Shoda is caring for you everytime, he's just wonderful guy The dinner was just so good!!! we had eggplants curry, dhal, rice, and chapatis, alll this, in full desert... I recommend an application which is called skyview (free app), so that you can recognize each star and constellation, their trajectory, compare to horizon line, some planets we can also see: jupiter, venus... I warmly and highly recommend this tour, authentic, nothing touristic here, or not that much, you feel fully in connection with nature... bed is comfortable, sheets, balnkets, pillow, so so good... thks to you guys for those beautiful moments Elodie and Christelle (if needed you can contact me in french)Written November 5, 2023

- Carochoup0 contributionsAmazing Night in the Thar desertWe just lived an AMAZING and UNFORGETTABLE experience with Fifu Camel Safaris. My best friend Pauline and I had a so great time doing this little trip. First we went on a Jeep Safari, then camel ride in the desert, then cooking lesson (dalh and fresh vegetables, making chapati) in the desert and night looking at the stars. Everything was so well organised: the fresh diner and food in the desert was delicious (Best masala Tea ever !), night on our "desert beds" was very confortable (all furniture, fresh sheets) and five stars continental breakfast ! We would like to say a huge Thank you to Sodha and Salou (and Abib) for their kindness and their smile : everything was perfect thanks to them ! We really feel we were in security even if we were 2 young girls alone in desert. We hope we can come again one day ! Thank you, we will never forget this experience in the desert. - Sayuri-in-india0 contributionsUnforgettable experience...They were so professional. I asked the owner, Mr.Fifu to plan a private tour for us, he quickly planned nice one with reasonable price! We enjoyed super yummy village food, chai and playing kids. The villages were not at all touristic area, so you will be able to catch the glimpse of real desert village life... Mr. Fifu is responsible person, you will enjoy your trip with no any worries in fifu camel safari and at his hotel also! Highly recommend!!!Written February 3, 2023
- 86eugeniop0 contributionsDesert Safari and typical Rajasthan food...what else?We left Jaisalmer in the early afternoon and drove into the desert. We had the opportunity to ride camels in the dunes, and at sunset we cooked typical Rajasthani food in a desert cam with locale people. An experience I will not forget!Written January 7, 2023
- Kawerukun0 contributionshalf-day trip in sandy desertI took a half-day trip because I didn't enough time to stay a night there, but still I could experience what l wanted to do. I really enjoyed camel ride, beautiful sunset, tasty food, and also night in the desert. It was quiet and peaceful experience far from other camping villages. You can visit and take dinner in the edge of a sandy desert -- I think that is the typical "desert" travelers expect, not rocky desert.Written January 3, 2023
- lenelanka0 contributionsAn amazing non-touristic tour in the desertThis was my 3rd trip in the desert with Fifu, and again I was not disappointed. I was surprised to see how touristic the desert has become since I was here last time, so many big safari camps. But Fifu of course managed to take us to a place in the desert where we were completely alone with the camels and the deserts animals. And again the trip was very well organized. After a ride on the camels we arrived at our campsite, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner made on the bonfire, watching the sunset and the amazing colours. We slept on beds under the open sky and millions of stars. Really a memorable experience. Thank you Fifu 🙏Written December 10, 2022
- K5412XOmathildeg0 contributionsThe desert far from touristsThere's no word to describe this experience in the desert. We really wanted to find a non touristic tour because we care about desert conservation and animal welfare. And we find Fifu. The tour we chose was perfectly meeting our expectations, we went to a village far away from tourists. Everything was pretty well organized. We left the hotel by jeep, visit some monuments on the road to the desert, and then start the camel ride to enjoy the sunset at the dunes before to sleep under the stars. All people working were very kind and take care of us, they put tents next to our beds in the case we need it during the night. They cook for us and teach us some traditional Indian recipes. Thank you again to all the teamWritten October 30, 2022
- JazmininaDelAire0 contributionsDesert sunset and sunriseThe experience it was amazing, first we had the visit for all the monuments, then we had the camel ride to the desert and we saw the sunset in the middle of the desert that was absolutely amazing. After we enjoyed a delicious dinner made on fire below the sky and stars, been accompanied for our desert hosts. For me was an incredible and full of medicine night, in the middle of the nature with warm and kind people. In the morning the sunrise it was the most spectacular ending for all the experience. Highly recommended 🙌Written October 18, 2022
- Bauhimmel0 contributionssleep under the open skyWitnessing the changes of sunset, full moon, milky way and sunrise in the desert is incredible. Listening to the sounds of the birds and seeing the changing colors in the sand is a memorable experience. Thanks to Fifu and the people who guided us and prepared a delicious dinner for us, as well as the beds under the open sky.Written September 19, 2022
- YatraTips0 contributionsAn evening to rememberI have been in Jaisalmer many times but this time I was with my family for vacation. The program started post lunch, first we visited some monuments like Badabagh, fort, lake and empty villages like Kuldhara before reaching Sam. As this location is far from the noisy and over populated Sam resort. So you will feel free and calm. One can enjoy the serenity of dunes. The experience in Sam dunes where amazing especially for family and kids. They were overjoyed to see the sand dunes for the first time. More overjoyed with camel ride as it was their first experience. Be it a gazing sky, camel ride, sand dunes, awesome meal and an amazing cultural show. All the needs taken care by Fifu Camel Safari especially the safety & security of the guest. God bless the team of FCS.Written September 10, 2022

A really wonderful experience managed and hosted by a great team! We had a great time during the camel safari during sunset, made even better by the cultural show afterwards followed by a yummy Rajasthani dinner. The luxury tents were really clean and very comfortable, and the staff were always around to help if needed. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a safe and authentic experience in Rajasthan! :)

The sun set views were amazing, we made excellent photos. We expected a longer ride on the camel 😌
The accommodation was basic, nothing luxury. Take care of the food, it was fully vegan and rather poor quality.
A special bad note to the service: the waiter behaved in a typical local way. No menu with the prices, I asked the price of a beer by word of mouth. When I paid, I was asked to pay more. This behavior was in line with what one foreign tourist experience every day there: we are perceived as walking wallets.

The drive to the camp, the friendly guide who was fluent in the language, and the many dilapidated historical buildings we visited along the way made it a wonderful journey so far.
The time between arriving at camp and going to bed at night is truly a magic hour. Amazing shows by artists living in the desert of Rajasthan, exceptional food, a starry sky, and the longest shooting star you've ever seen! All of them were great memories.
It's a golden time in my life, something I'll treasure for the rest of my life.

Very cool overnight experience in the desert! The camp is quite well laid out, it’s even surprising in the middle of the desert. Water and electricity available.
Very comfortable “deluxe tent”, private bathroom. A little difficult to get hot water but quite normal in the middle of a desert.
Possibility of taking a camel ride at sunset.
Indian music and dance by the fire during dinner (buffet).
In the morning, breakfast (buffet) before returning to Jaisalmer (about 30’ drive).
Soda accompanied us throughout this experience, he took great care of our well-being!

As the sun slanted, our shadows on the camels grew longer. The bells rang gently as the camels walked. It was a strange feeling to think that this vast desert would continue on into the future.
The show had wonderful music and dancing. It was a peaceful and happy moment to dance with travelers from all over the world.
Under the starry sky, my husband and I were able to see a shooting star. I will never forget this wonderful night we spent in the desert.

Excelent experience in desert. Driving to desert stoping in a lake and old town. Walking with Camel ( if you like, i decided to go walking) and cooking on the floor a really good dinner. Magic time having dinner close to the fire looking the stars. Really nice guide taking care of us all the time. 100% recommended. Fifu Will organize everything for you with love. Non turistic tour. We have recently returned from our trip with Fifu Camel Safaris. Even before we booked Fifu was so helpful in answering my many queries. Does who was our guide for the duration was lovely, very polite and informative thought our time out in the desert. He really looked after us and nothing was to much trouble. The camp is lovely, the camels seem very well looked after and the food and entertainment was great. On our return we had time before catching our bus out of Jaislmer and Fifu kindly let us sit in hotel and enjoy a coffee. We would definitely recommend you booking your trip with them.
