We had a wonderful night stay in the desert under the sky. Our host gave us delicious snacks, dinner and breakfast next day morning. We enjoyed camel ride, although it was painful. Overall we spent the loveliest night in the desert.

We were picked up from Mystic Jaisalmer hotel (where we left our luggage) by our friendly driver E.K. who took us to the Thar desert. Over there the camels were already saddled and were waiting for us to ride them. Guided by Ganesh, we rode the camels to our desert camp, where we had chai masala and a lovely dinner. Followed by the sunset and a lively discussion with our hosts about the life of the locals in the nearby villages (we are very curious), we got our beds ready nearby, to enjoy the starry skies in privacy (we were the only guests that night). The next morning we were woken up by birds singing, and after the sunrise, we had a short ride on our camels and were dropped off back to our hotel. The guys were very polite and kind, took really nice photos of us with our camera. We felt safe as they had two dogs, there were almost no bugs and the temperature was just perfect. We highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely incredible. I loved it all. Due to being more of a down season there were only three of us on the tour creating a welcomed intimate atmosphere. We had four hosts helping guide cook and entertain us! Happy to help us out in any way they were a pleasure to have around. The camel ride was an exciting experience, they are massive creatures no doubt. Truly my favorite part was being under the stars out on the desert. The moon lights the sky so waking up around 3am had me in awe to witness all of the stars! Well worth the late wake up. Sunrise and sunset was beautiful. The abandoned village Ghost Village was nice for a light stroll, however, the small inhabited village was overwhelming. I advise you to just be prepared to have many hands on you as the kids and people swarm around you with interest in you and your goods (Accessories / money). Overall an amazing experience that I would highly recommend.

I have visited Jaisalmer from 12th Nov to 14th Nov,2019.We were 8 adults and stayed in Hotel Heritage Inn for onenight upon arrival from Jaipur. The hotel is good, spraling and Staff were very good .Food and Service were also good.Wifi is unstable.
Next Morning we went To Jaisalmer Fort,Jain Temple inside Jaisalmer fort and few Havelis inside the Fort. There are plenty of food joints and Souvenir and curio shops inside the Fort.Only problem is that for senior citizens like us it is very difficult to
cover the places inside the Fort by Foot as you have to climb up to vist any place inside the Fort.If you are lucky you can get a tuk tuk @Rs40 to Rs50/- per trip.

After noon we went to Sam Desert and visited the desert and had Camel Ridei. But the Safari was only for 10 minutes which was included in our Package. For more duration you have to shell out more money.
We stayed over night in Sevel Palm desert Camp. The night cultural programme with Rajasthani Folk Singer and dancer held in the camp was good time pass. However the Vegeterian Dinner offered by the Seven Palm was not good and Break fast next Morning was ordinary.
We started from the desert camp at around 10am next day and Checked in to Hotel Heritage for two more nights .We went to Gadisar Lake ,few more Havelis ,an abandoned village and war Museum. You can do lot of Shopping inside the golden fort .We left fo Mumbai on 15th Morning. It was a good family trip and we enjoyed it.

It's important to keep your expectations low in order to enjoy fully.
The place developed near Jodhpur is strictly not a harsh and expansive desert as accessing that may be difficult and staying can be painful due to paucity of amenities in deep desert.
Sam desert is rather a benign part of the desert having some stretch under loose sand dunes which is being used for camel and jeep safari by the resorts around.

The pleasure of stay would depend on which part of the year you visit as the middle of the winter can again be very harsh. So the best part remain from Oct to end to mid Dec and mid Jan to Feb end.

With regards to choice of resort, it is important to go through reviews available on social media as the quality of stay and food provided can make or mar one's stay.

The camel safari is really attractive for those who have never ridden a camel before. For elderly, the camel cart can be a better option as it is rather more comfortable.
Jeep safari is a fun for youngsters due to speed with going up and down the dunes. But for the elderly it may be equally irritating.

We were lucky to get a resort that provided good food and entertainment besides reasonably comfortable stay, though were charged unreasonably high tariff by makemytrip.

Overall a not to be missed experience!

Really amazing rustic night out in the desert. We spent about an hour or so on the camels and got pretty deep into the desert away from the nearby villages. EK and Ganesh were great hosts. Would definitely recommend!

I fortunately did a tour alone with EK who was my guide. He was awesome and very helpful. Even though it was so cloudy during a camel riding and time in a desert and we couldn't see a spectacular sunset, sharing experiences with him and a camel guy was superb. This makes this tour worthwhile. He was a nice photographer and a model too, so no worries if you gonna do it solo. His cooking was superb although I'm not a big fan of Veg food. The food was really yummy; I had so much.

Recommend to whoever want to visit Rajasthan! Jaisalmer is a gem, this tour too. Really recommend EK as a guide.

The desert tour was a very nice experience, mostly sleeping outdoor right under the stars..escaping the noise and pollution of Indian's cities for beautiful sand dunes and local songs around a fire camp. This was a very magical experience. The quality of the sky is great for star gazing. I recommend bringing binoculars with you to enjoy watching the sky with greater depth. The group was very small ( we were only 5) so we had a rather intimate experience..it didn't feel like a tourist attraction. We could also use the hotel facility on our way back before leaving ( you can have a shower at the hotel it is no pb). I would recommend this tour mostly if you like nature and want to break your journey with something more chilled and different from sight seeing.

This was such a lovely experience. I got to do this with my mom, who came to visit me during my time in India.
Our friendly guide E.K. took us on an enjoyable jeep ride to a few places in the desert before we got to ride the camels to camp. The journey as a whole was excellent and comfortable for us. Upon arriving we drank some warm chai and got the opportunity to take a lot of pictures as the sun was setting. EK was very keen to help take some great snaps and we had a lot of fun in the process!!
The food was tasty and it was nice to gather around a campfire as it grew dark and the stars came out.
I had a fairly good sleep, though one of my blankets fell off during the night - probably due to the wind/my kicking so when I woke up it was a bit chilly. Definitely bring some warmer clothes for the evening & early morning and perhaps your own pillow if you are used to sleeping with one.
All in all, i would definitely recommend this package for the adventurous at heart, who still like having some peace of mind at being taken care of. :)

Thank you so much, team!!
