About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- vaidehil20170 contributionsBackwater trip. The backwaters of Kerala are a must see ofcourse. The serenity of nature is the biggest plus. James was good tour guide. The coir rope making and thatched roof demos were a good touch. The meal afterwards was very enjoyable.Written August 4, 2024
- Sherpa342175791270 contributionsAmazing Day Trip! Our guide, Jude, was very patient and informative. He went above and beyond to explain every bit of history, even those that weren’t a part of the locations itinerary. Makes me want to revisit Kochi!Written June 2, 2024
- olie2930 contributionsVery interesting visitHaving never been in a Synagogue we found this experience fascinating from a non Jewish view. We were amazed by the interior and the associated history. It is the oldest Synagogue in India and was rebuilt in 1662 by the Dutch after a war in IndiaWritten April 4, 2024
- Curiosity106370033090 contributionsBetter off with a day tripIn general, we think folks can get a similar experience without an overnight trip. The food was just ok and the bathroom shower needed some fixing. Air conditioning was excellent. The service was the best part of this trip. We had a fellow named Sebastian on boat #9 who took excellent care of us. We did have the whole boat to ourselves but it’s not worth paying $200 each person for for one night. It should be said the fare includes 1 hour cab ride each way from Kochi to Allepuza and vice versa. So I would recommend looking into day tripsWritten March 31, 2024
- mejacq0 contributionsExcellent Private Driver Kerala and beyondPlanning a 6 day private tour of Kerala I needed to find a driver. Trip advisor came up trumps with Ramesh. He was delightful. Always prompt, polite and has excellent English. His driving was exemplary. He also was very knowledgeable about the area and the sights he took us to. Very easy company over the 6 days. Plus an added bonus he has an excellent singing voice and will sing traditional Indian songs, but only on request. I thoroughly recommend him for your trip. - BryanW4920 contributionsGood experienceThe views were amazing. We took very many photos. We saw how people lived along the canals while enjoying a delicious lunch.Written February 29, 2024
- ToucanSam7870 contributionsThis experience is not to be missed! What a great experience! Floating down the river was so relaxing. We sat at the front of the boat and felt like VIPs as we watched the scenery go by while our fantastic crew attended to our every need. The meals on board were excellent. Our bedroom was cool at night. They stopped at Champakulam, a small town on the river, where we could shop for the usual tourist items. But the real attraction of that town was the St Mary's Basilica just beyond the tourist shops. Founded in the 400's, it's gorgeous inside, with painted walls and ceiling. Overall we had a wonderful time and felt like we really got to see Kerala We had one traumatic thing happen at the end of our trip. After we got off the houseboat, we had to take a water taxi to get to the dock where the cars were parked. Our luggage was on top of the taxi along with the garbage from our trip. At some point, the garbage bag flew off the taxi and into the river. We can only hope it was an accident.Written February 24, 2024
- D3141ODjob0 contributionsRelaxing in styleA gentle and relaxing day. Terrific communication from the tour operators. Our local guide was knowledgeable, there was no question unable to answer. All the team were amazing! The lunch was delicious and served on fresh cut banana leaves.Written February 21, 2024
- 595kaneg0 contributionsA pleasant way to spend time on the water.A long trip on the bus but it got us out of the hustle and bustle. The boat cruise was on a very quiet part of the water and made for a serene experience. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and the overall experience was very good.Written February 15, 2024
- monicalK9114JE0 contributionsboat in blackwatersBeautiful trip on a boat in blackwaters: nature, silence, with a fantastic guide who explains you all details. Relaxing and amazingWritten February 14, 2024
- Navigator003070565660 contributionsGood experienceThe tour was pleasant with convenient pickup from the hotel and a cruise along the backwaters in a nice big boat. The crew was friendly and helpful. A nice lunch was prepared by the crew, however we were hoping to have more seafood. It was mainly vegetarian dishes with one small fish served per person. We departed from the shore at noon which is the hottest time of day so it was a bit uncomfortable. Would be better to go closer to the sunset. A decent tour but we didn’t think it was a very good value for what you get.Written February 3, 2024
- Hanstravels20 contributionsA Peace of IndiaThis was an extraordinary trip! The backwaters were tranquil and calming, and our lovely guide was so interesting and knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. We saw a lady making coir from coconuts and a man extracting toddy from the top of a tree. The lunch—served on a banana leaf—was delicious, and the portions were very generous. After a busy couple of weeks travelling across India, this tour was exactly what we needed.Written February 3, 2024
- 748nikkil0 contributionsPerfectAmazing, relaxing & peaceful. I can not remember the guides name but her name began with a D, she was lovely. The boat driver was cool. The little village and the people there were so nice. Great day & great food :-)Written January 15, 2024
