About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Footprints3688220 contributionsBelow average walking tourTripAdvisor put the wrong meet up address so I went to a different spot from the guide. He showed me his address he received and so it looks like it was TripAdvisor error. Walking tour was ok, we started late at 530 as per guide request so was darker. Walking tour was done in less than hour vs 2 hrs noted in the intenerary. Guide was a nice guy but the walking tour didn’t have much to it or maybe it was late.Written November 9, 2024
- clintonb2920 contributionsHurriedThe guide communicated well beforehand and was prompt on the day , Very friendly and informative ,nice relaxed tour But after 50 minutes he said that’s the end of the tour ! There was a lot of places on the 2 hour itinerary that we hadn’t seen when I pointed this out he then did take me to those places but the atmosphere was by then a little strained, the tour still finished well under 2 hours and I then went off and did my own thing. Ok I suppose as it was only just over £10Written October 20, 2024
- OnAir448256994720 contributionsTerrible experienceGuide didn’t have any information to offer and was ill prepared. There was no information added to what any common person will know. It was a complete money wastage.Written July 14, 2024
- suneetib10070 contributionsDo not book this tourI booked this tour but the local partners Yo Tours are just not equipped with enough staff to handle this. Worse still, there communication is very poor, rude and not customer friendly. They cancelled the walk last minute without even a word of apology or regret. I had a 2 day stop over in Bangalore and one evening out of that was wasted because of their mismanagementWritten July 12, 2024
- gordonr6940 contributionsDo some research and then go by yourselves. This walk takes you past some buildings from the British era and through a park. The guide was informative but really we could have done the same thing by ourselves and using google. Not really worth the money.Written January 13, 2024
- U1528ESpamb0 contributionsNot Recommended For USI loved seeing how the spices were used. This is a tough review because I think of the cultural difference between US and India. Our car service was over an hour late. We also had a delay and returning do to car service unavailable. Our host did speak English but it was not enough for us to understand. My biggest concern was there were some insects sharing our space and the lack of air conditioning. Again, possibly a cultural difference.Written May 15, 2023
- stephenjpack0 contributionsWent smoothly, but maybe not worth the tourNandi Hills is an interesting destination and I recommend it. However, this itinerary is only there-and-back -- aside from an offer to go to a wood carving store and silk factory in Bangalore, which I declined. I didn't get as much information or context as expected, despite there being plenty of time on the drive and walk around to share it. So nothing bad about this tour, but if I had it to do over, for a third the cost, I'd get a car & driver for the day, the site map, and explore it on my own. Visit to the hill takes maybe two hours, and the drive is 1.5-2 hours each way.Written March 4, 2023
- Iamiunna0 contributionsInformative and easy going guideRamesh is a really nice professional guide! We’ve learned many interesting things about Cubbon park, its trees and its history. The tour was chilled out, we got to know about the time when British used to rule India. Precious information which would be so hard to learn on our own 😊Written January 7, 2023
- Simon H0 contributionsGoodReally helpful and insightful. The only Sad thing is that the area is not that big to walk and learn.Written December 22, 2022
- Sherpa8123180 contributionsExcellent tour!My tour guide was Ramesh. He was well informed and took us through an extremely pleasant walking tour. I would strongly suggest that you do the walking tour on the first day of you trip to Bengaluru so that you appreciate the city more!Written December 21, 2022
- Clboss0 contributionsScam! This company is a scam. Strongly recommend you call them before booking because after 5 attempts I could not through. Booking was for 10am, I waited till 10:15 and conveniently I got a message at 10:25 saying 'where are you, I have been here since 10'. I talked to the cafe staff and they said the same thing had happened to another tourist a week ago. TripAdvisor, please do your due diligence!!Written November 27, 2022
- Cristinaghe0 contributionsEnjoyable walk through the British heritage of BengaluruVery nice tour of about 2.5 hrs on the British heritage of Bengaluru. Ramesh was a great guide. He gave us lots of information about the city but also about flora and fauna of Cubbon Park. Very recommendable tour to get a good overview of some of the main attractions. Thanks a lot Ramesh!Written November 22, 2022
- Rosalind S0 contributionsA walk in the parkI booked a 1-to-1 tour and Ramesh was kind enough to meet me at the hotel and take me to the starting point of the tour by tuc tuc- my first ever tuc tuc experience. The tour was centred in and around Cubbon Park, which is a really lovely place to be on a Sunday when the gates are closed to all traffic. I couldn't believe the change in air quality inside the park compared to the rather congested area around my hotel. Ramesh spoke knowledgeably about the various trees and flowers in the park and steered me towards key buildings and statues, putting them into historical context. Incidentally, I'm ashamed of Winston Churchill for leaving India without paying his bills. Ramesh also outlined Bangalore's more recent history in terms of technology, politics and commerce and pointed out some significant modern buildings. I really feel as if I know something about Bangalore now and the masterclass in road-crossing was invaluable. The price of this tour is very reasonable compared to similar offerings from other companies. This is a very good deal!Written October 16, 2022
- Ramesh R0 contributionsSuperbwe all loved the walking tour even though it was raining, our guide was excellant with the places and showed many in that 2 hours with a detailed explanation. So happy that we were filled with lots of infoWritten July 12, 2022

I recently took the Touristic Highlights of Bangalore tour and it was an amazing experience! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us to understand the city and its rich history like a local. The food tasting was a wonderful addition, as we got to sample some of the best local delicacies. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bangalore, as it truly gives you an authentic and memorable experience of the city. 5 stars!
