Sherwin was a fantastic tour guide. Picked up everyone taking the tour and communicated with us beforehand about pick up times etc - very well organised. Then we went to see Bangalore Fort and a number of other sights around that area before heading to a delicious local restaurant for lunch and then finally to Bangalore Palace. We skipped the Market Place as was just a bit too hot, but I hear it is something you should definitely do. Sherwin was incredibly knowledgable about the history of all these places and also the history of Bangalore in general. Fantastic tour and Sherwin is a great tour guide. If you are in Bangalore you should definitely do this tour.

My colleague and I had only one free day in Bangalore on a quick business trip. I'm so glad we booked this tour with Sherwin. Not only is he very knowledgeable about the sites and Bangalore's history, he's a super nice person. We really enjoyed our day with him and even discovered we have the same tastes in music. My colleague was nervous about the traffic (which was not horrible on a Sunday) but Sherwin's careful driving set her at ease. As the other reviewers have said, you'll see the main sites in the old city. The best part though is the personal perspective that Sherwin provides - it's like a friend is taking you around the city. I highly recommend Sherwin!

I didn't have a lot of time for sightseeing in Bangalore so this tour was perfect for me. I got to see the main landmarks, learn about the history of the city, walk through the old city and colorful market, take a look inside a temple, grab local lunch and afternoon tea... all this with a very nice, outgoing and knowledgeable person who loves his city and makes you share the sentiment! Even though I traveled solo I left very safe and at ease from start to finish, so Sherwin thank you 3000 for this experience ;)

I can confirm that all the rave reviews posted by other travellers here are spot on. I have been visiting Bangalore regularly for the last 20 years, but never made an effort to understand its history. I decided to make an effort this time and I am happy that I chose Sherwin's See Bangalore Through My Eyes (Cultural/Historical/Walking Tour).
The tour has provided me with an excellent foundation to build my understanding of Bangalore's complex history upon. I look forward to many more such tours in the future (to Nandi Hills, Devanahalli Fort, Tipu's Drop, etc.).
I wish Sherwin all the best going forward. Here are two suggestions for tours that he could offer in the future: Bangalore's live music scene; and Bangalore's microbrewery scene.

I really enjoyed this tour. I have been coming to Bangalore but never made time to explore until now. Sherwin was friendly and knowledgeable. We walked around the KR market, looking at the flower market inside as well as the other vendors (great places for taking pictures). He showed me the remains of the fort, armory, and ended up visiting the palace of the king. Sherwin was flexible, so we started the tour early in the morning to avoid crowds. Overall, I highly recommend him!

We booked a tour a day before NYE, and it was a day to be remembered. Sherwin is a VERY patient (we were unfortunately pretty late) and kind person, who is passionate about his city and very keen on making it discover to people. We had fun, and left with a good mix between historical and local knowledge (the restaurant we ended the tour at was great !).
We’d highly recommend the tour !

Five star all the way. Sherwin is a great guide and a nice person. I really enjoyed him showing me the real city. He navigated the day very well, including adventurous traffic, and never felt rushed or out of sorts which is quite an accomplishment in a city like Bangalore. He’s got a lot of insight to the history and the people. We toured the flower/produce market which was amazing along with several historic palaces and temples. I would definitely recommend Sherwin and will go again if I get the opportunity to come back.

Went with the wife and we found it a fantastic tour. Sherwin was very flexible with our scheduling and was very personable and knowledgable. He had a sense of humour and made us feel like we had known him for a while. Even recommended us several foodie spots after the tour. Really enjoyed touring Bangalore with him.

This is a really well run tour and Sherwin does a great job. The time allocated to each landmark is perfect and Sherwin goes to great lengths to explain the history in an engaging way.
He's affable and very easy to talk to and also gives you great local tips for food!

Really enjoyed visiting some of the old Bengalore sites with a knowledgeable and super friendly guide.
We went at a leisurely pace, took our time where we wanted to take our time, wandered around the "Pete" with the locals and had a delicious traditional lunch.

Hi, I'll come over to Bangalore on 25 February from Germany and would like to book your service. I have two questions: 1) do you also offer the tour beginning at 10 am or 11 a.m.on the 25 or 26 of February? 2) Could you pick me up at my hotel - I would pay an extra fee for this additional service? I'm staying at Gokulam Grandhotel.
