About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- K9553EMoliverg0 contributionsPrivate full day hiking experienceMy experience with Unventured was fabulous from start to finish. Veena was particularly great to deal with. I’m a solo traveller and I’d been searching for a reputable company in Bangalore to help organise a private hiking tour for me. I wanted to customise my experience so that I could undertake specific activities that interested me the most … solely centred around hiking in beautiful locations. Veena sourced me an English speaking guide, who also happened to be a mountaineering and survivalist instructor that teaches people to scale the Himalayas, so I was in good company. Nithyam was not only a capable guide, but he is also a thoroughly lovely chap and it was my pleasure to spend the day with him (despite my fitness levels being lower than his). Not knowing the area, I was reliant on unventured choosing beautiful locations and they certainly didn’t disapoint. They also organised a private pick up too and from my hotel which was luxurious and very convenient. Without a second thought, I would rate the company and my experience as 5*++. Thanks to all the team for helping make this one of life’s memorable moments 🙏Written October 3, 2024
- tamu_John0 contributionsGreat overview of BengaluruMidhu gave me a tour of the city. She is a visual communications major, so not only did she communicate well, but her pictures were really well composed. Really enjoyed the tour which provided a good balance of history, culture, and business. The Tuk Tuk was nice especially in the heat to cool off. Midhu was also very clued in hosting and made sure to offer water, stops, etc. Even though a student, she was equivalent to experienced guides I've had in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Kyoto.Written September 29, 2024
- naomik20180 contributionsBengaluru up close and personalPooja was a wonderful guide for our Tuk Tuk tour. The overall experience was fun, chaotic and amazing. We really enjoyed Pooja’s excellent historical and cultural explanations for the palace and temple. The flower market was a highlight to see the bustling, vibrant local scene. This is a great way to see some of Bengaluru’s highlight up close.Written September 17, 2024
- TravellingNK0 contributionsGreat way to explore BangaloreThey customized the thing for us by way of making it into a treasure hunt/amazing race with clues and what not and the whole thing was a really fun and different way to explore the city! We worked with the founder Tehaswini initially and then guide they selected, Ajith, was also excellent and really knew his stuff, besides making the whole thing fun!Written September 12, 2024
- Sunshine654679128110 contributionsCycling, History, & Fun In Nandi Hills, IndiaMidhu, my rockstar guide for the day, was knowledgeable about Nandi Hills, Bengaluru, and Indian history. I learned about Indian history, Hinduism, and visited local cottage industries. I got to meet locals, drink out of a coconut, and visit a Hindu temple. I would recommend this tour to guests who are reasonably in shape (it's a lot of cycling), have an open mind, and want to have some fun.Written July 21, 2024
- 720katyw0 contributionsAmazing way to see real city life in a short space of time.I did the half day "Good Morning Bengaluru" Bike tour with Ajith on a July Thursday and it was amazing! I was in Bangalore for work with little spare time but wanted to see some of the real city so this was perfect. It was very early start but the point was to see how the city wakes up, plus it gives a chance to warms up to the traffic. About cycling and the traffic: We had hybrid/mountain bikes which were fairly light, solid and seemingly well maintained with smooth gears, i.e. good bikes and helmets. I cycle to work regularly and I was the only person on my tour (I didn't know that before - it was chance) which meant I could follow Ajith closely so I was OK even when the traffic was extreme in the last hour. Bikes are a really really great way to see the city as you cover so much ground, and Ajith knew what he was doing BUT I would recommend thinking carefully about this tour if you are a less confident cyclist or in a larger group (could be tricky at the traffic lights). The tour was a mixture of culture and history lesson which was great, with visits to places important for the people (rather than tourist attractions like the palaces etc) like temples, gardens and places to eat and drink. Fascinating! Highly recommended.Written July 13, 2024

- Jbolding0 contributionsFantastic way to experience India’s countrysideThis was an amazing experience cycling around the base of the Nandi hills! Stopping for fresh mango and coconut water. The temple was beautiful and the railway station, silk factory and pottery business were fascinating! Pooja was an amazing guide and she made this experience very special. Our driver Shivkumer was also great and took care of us on our journey! It was extremely hot but Pooja took care to find shaded stops along the way so we could have water and rest!Written June 1, 2024
- kjoycarter0 contributionsEnjoy the sights, sounds, streets and food of Bengaluru on the Tuk Tuk Tour!If you want to experience the essence of Bengaluru - the sights, the food, the market, the history, the auto rickshaws - this is the tour for you! My friends and I enjoyed the day with our guide, Midhu. She was so welcoming, knowledgable, and professional as she guided us through the city. I have lived in Bengaluru for 3+ years and still learned and saw so many new things on this tour. I also enjoyed what I believe to be the BEST dosa on this tour! And thanks to the team at Unventured, we were able to add a Mango tasting at the end of our day since it is mango season! We enjoyed 14 varieties of mangos and a mango milkshake while learning about the history of this fruit and what it means to India. Thank you Veena and Midhu for arranging an unforgettable day!Written May 30, 2024

She was super helpful and flexible and was very happy to answer my many questions and she chose some great food for breakfast and lunch too - thanks Pooja! Nandi gets very busy at the weekends so if you have a choice, a weekday would be better for this tour.Written May 26, 2024

This tour was the highlight of my time in Bangalore! Ajith was a wonderful guide with so much historical knowledge, and took us to gems I would never have found on my own. Little complimentary gifts in the market were so special, and lunch was just a delight - locals and great food. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get an idea of how locals experience the city!

The tour was excellent. And the tour guide Pallavi was just exceptional. She took me around to some must visit places as well as some little unknown but interesting streets and corners which you would never find on any tourist book. I especially enjoyed the old traditional silk and saree making places. The colours, the ancient way of working, the beauty of the finial product was just mesmerizing.
I highly recommend this tour, I liked it so much that I would like to do it again.
P.S. and if someone has any doubts about the safety of Tuk Tuk, please don't be worried or scared at all. It's a great way to immerse in the surroundings and flow of the city. I felt safe at all times.

We had an amazing time on the Tuk Tuk tour with Midhu and Shreyas. They were both very knowledgeable and had a lot of fun and interesting stories to tell. We learned a lot about Bengaluru and its history. At all times we felt safe and very well taken care of. Our highlights were the KR Market and the Silk Weaving factories, where we were able to see a part of Indian daily life up close. Especially in the market, the smells, sights and bustling of many people were overwhelming to see. We had the chance to try new foods: fresh coconut, sapota, a real dosa and more. It was truly a perfect experience to start our travels in Bengaluru and we can only recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded and fun experience.

I was by myself, but small groups can go. Sandra was a wonderful guide. Well-prepared, knowledgable, easy to understand in English, enthusiastic. We hit the big tourist venues in Bangaluru: Tipu Tip's Palace, a temple next door where we made an offering and got blessed, the fort, the Pete market, and silk dyers and weavers. We finished with a workingman's lunch in a restaurant on a tiny dead end street. The market is unforgettable, especially the flower section. There are sections for loose flowers, for chain flowers, and for special garlands. It is both a wholesale and a retail market, so you see bags of flowers being auctioned off and carried away as well as people (mostly young men) creating garlands with individual flowers and even with rose petals. We saw a young couple doing a prenuptial photo shoot in the flower market. The tour involves a fair amount of walking (maybe 2 miles) on uneven streets that are choked with traffic, but nothing alarming. The silk dying and weaving workshops were also unforgettable: bright colors, clanking looms from the 19th century, people up to their elbows in dye. Wear comfortable shoes that can stand a bit of mud, slime, and moisture. You are mostly in the shade.

Fresh of the plane and my first time in the country :) first agenda was to do this tour and boy i was not disappointed, First of, Pooja my lovely tour guide was amazing, soo much stories and enthusiasm in showing here city to me, really made my day. As for the tour itself, it was fun, and energetic, the sights and sounds were incredible, from the hundred year old palace, to forts, to the first smiley :) , the market scene was nice, the fruits are fresh and delicious, i actually took home alot which Pooja was nice kind to help me carry all of it, and the flower market was also great. It really showed alot of the city. The city itself is incredible, with tress everywhere, makes everyone relax and take a time to reflect. I love the temples, the rituals and the food. Plus getting see sari factory, and dyeing factory. If i find myself back in the city, would definitely do it again.

A wonderful half day spent exploring Bengaluru through the eyes of a local. It was a great experience to see and visit aspects of the city that tourists would not normally tour on their own, such as the fruit, vegetable, and flower markets, and the local jewelry making and silk weaving businesses. Was able to try a local fruit I've never had or heard of (sopata) and enjoy a delicious meal at a local eatery that I never would have found or gone to on my own!

We had a great tour with our excellent guide, Shreyas! We learned a lot, had fun, and felt safe. Walking around the city was an adventure in itself, and it was so cool to get an inside look at the market (especially the flower market!), a temple, and a silk weaving shop. Plus the dosas we had on this tour were our favorite out of our entire trip! I highly recommend this tour.

As my flight only arrive at Bangalore at 10am, will it still be possible for me to join such a tour to the "Pete" market.

The tour I took left in the morning; also, you need to take into account about 2 hours at least from your landing time until you get to Bangalore, depending on traffic
