We found Sushma Ajay through the "Tours by Locals" website of Bangalore and we are so very glad for that. Her own company is "Yours truly India." Initially the tour was described as lasting 3 hours but we asked if she could lengthen it to 5 hours which she did. We arranged our own transportation to/from the city as our hotel was near the airport. This was easy to do.
We started at the Aurobindo Ashram, then walked to the Gurudwara Sikh center, onto Halasuru village, then to the Someshwara Temple, to the Graveyard at the Kali Temple, to a outdoor laundry site, to the Indiranagar area. The walking was done at an easy pace with conversation, explanations along the way . Sushma was knowledgeable, amiable, and we learned so much about Indian culture, religion, daily life. Walking through the neighborhood of Halasuru was particularly interesting. This is truly a worthwhile walking tour: good value for the money and time well spent. Thank you Sushma and much continued success in your endeavours.

This was amazing. Sushma took us to places most tourists never get to see and told very interesting stories that illustrated the beautiful culture and history of the area and the strength the people. So glad I got to do this, I am still thinking about what we experienced, lasting memories were created.

An excellent Bangladesh Heritage Tour with Ruchira. It was informative and enlightening. Takes one through several centuries of Bangalore's history. An exhilarating walk through multiple markets in the old city. Includes a stop at a cafe serving superb South Indian specialties. A feast for all five senses. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed the historical tour in Bangalore with Sushma. She is a very good guide and I really enjoyed the colorful market. The experience was unique. Moreover she shared very good addresses for night life with us.

If you want to know about Bangalore then this is the tour for you. Sushma is an excellent communicator who took her time to talk to us to discover what we wanted from the tour and then proceeded to exceed all of our expectations. She promised that all our senses would be awakened and she did not disappoint.
We enjoyed the very informative walk which enlightened us to the history of the city but also the lives of the people who now call the city home. The tour was a wonderful opportunity to see the city through Sushma's eyes.
We cannot recommend this tour and Sushma highly enough.

I asked for a private tour of Bangalore. It was a delightful experience. Just let me say, Sushma is the quintessential Banglorean in every sense of the word. This lady lives and breathes Bangalore. The love of her city and the pride she takes in sharing her wealth of information and experiences is infectious. I have been to Bangalore many times but not this Bangalore. Sushma made the city and its secrets come alive. She'll regale you with facts and stories.
If you want a fun day filled with good eats, good conversation, lovely walk with all the sites and sounds of Bangalore as the backdrop, this tour is for you.

Amazing very personalized tours off the beaten path, providing you with access to all areas of central BLR. For me, I was interested in photography so we went to many great neighborhoods to learn about culture and meet path. Plus, we went to unexpected places like a Dhobi Ghat. Truly a unique experience!

Excellent. The guide was exceptionally polite and prepared to answer all my questions. Willing to customize the tour according to my requests and needs. Very good knowledge of the city and many spots that would not be reachable without a guide. Great street food experience too. Definitely recommended.
