Best way to get a taste of Bangalore
What a wonderful day we had! Usually I like to explore a city on my own to get a feel for its particular atmosphere. As a native Bangalorean Ravi is a great guide to interesting places, very knowledgeable. He is the perfect link to local life, people and food. He is the nicest person to spend time with, with an uplifting spirit and a great sense of humor. His tour was well organized and yet flexible to our spontaneous wishes. I’m really happy that I joined in.

Our group had 24 hours of downtime in Bangalore and I’m so happy we chose to go on Praveen’s tour. His wealth of knowledge and energy made the hours fly! From bustling markets to quiet temples to lush greenery I was impressed by how much we were able to pack in while covering centuries of history. Our group learned so much and felt like we truly experienced the city. Would absolutely recommend Praveen’s tour to folks looking to explore Bangalore and wouldn’t hesitate to take another of his tours.

One of the best guided Tours I did so far!
My colleagues and I booked this tour for our layover in Bengaluru and it was worth every penny. We saw beautiful sights and the car rides were just as wonderful as the sights themselves. We ate amazing authentic food (authentic Indian dishes, Fruit from the market and sweets). Praveen, our guide, was super nice and fun to be with and made the tour so much fun and we got a lot of wonderful pictures of our Trip. For me, it was my first time in India ever and this Trip made me fall in love with southern India and made me interested to explore the other regions of this diverse and beautiful country. Thank you very mich for this awesome experience 🙏🏻

Best of Mysore/Mysuru, Somnathpur & more
Highly recommend this tour if you want see not just the famous sites, but also the hidden gems along the way. Praveen is passionate about what he does and enthusiastic about sharing the best of India with you. He is extremely knowledgeable - you will learn so much about the places you visit. It’s not a typical tour that might take you shopping or to a tourist trap. I got to see some of the greatest hits and was safely dropped off at my hotel.

A history lesson disguised as fun at some beautiful sites.
Praveen was the perfect host for a beautiful, if sometimes packed with people, Mysore. The sightseeing was really great and Praveen added a ton to the experience. He knows how to navigate these sites extremely well and is an absolute font of knowledge on the sites and regional history. He really added context that makes for a great experience. Nice sites, great people, and some good food to top it off. Highly recommend.

    Book this tour
Do not hesitate to book this tour with Hidden Gems. This was not my first time in Bangalore, and I had been on other tours. However, the tour with Praveen was head and shoulders above the others. His enthusiasm and passion to make certain his guests have a full understanding of his city is one of the things that made all the difference. He made the city come alive. We talked about what I had seen on my past visits in order to ensure that our time would be well spent. He was determined to show me the aspects of Bangalore that I had not seen before, and the combination of the depth of his historical knowledge with the quality of his narrative and his personal kindness made for an unparalleled experience. It was very, very hot when I visited in April, and I made the mistake of booking this tour to begin a few hours after I got off the plane. As a result, a combination of exhaustion and the heat got to me. Praveen knew something was wrong moments before I did, and after giving me immediate assistance he took me back to my hotel. It could have ended there, but he arranged for me to enjoy the balance of the tour on another day. I am telling you this to explain that Praveen truly cares about his guests and wants them to have the best experience possible. The online itinerary will tell you what you will see, but with Hidden Gem it will be a unique experience that is more than just a tour.

    An exceptional day
If you want to get away from the city and experience the history and culture of India then book this tour. Yes, 6:30 is an early morning pickup, but the reward is to have the chance to spend the day with Praveen, who loves to share his extraordinary historical knowledge with you. The tour takes you out of the city and into the country in order to give you a truly off the beaten track experience. Praveen’s in depth commentary during the visit at the Lepakshi Temple made it easy for me to imagine what a pilgrimage to the temple would have been like for those who made the pilgrimage hundreds of years ago. In his quest to make certain his guests had the correct information, Praveen stopped to have a quick conversation with a temple priest to confirm that he had a piece of history right. Another part of the tour that I thought was valuable was the easy conversations that we had while travelling in the car. Praveen was happy to discuss any topic that I thought would give me a better understanding of his country. Among other things, we talked about economic development generally, the opportunities available to the youth of India, the electoral process, and engagement/marriage customs The Nandi Hills are beautiful, the views are breathtaking, the lunch was relaxing and the food was delicious. It was very hot during my visit in April, so we took the bus to the top of the hills. I was happy that Praveen knew about this option so that I experience the views without the stress of hiking in the heat. It’s easy for you to read the description of what you will see during the tour, but what you really need to know is that you will be cared for like a friend during your Hidden Gems Tour

    Great tour, great guides
Pradeep and Sanjana were our guides for the Mysore tour. They had a great deal of knowledge about both the history and current culture of India and were able to convey that knowledge with kindness and humor. There are many tour companies that can take you to see the sights of India. The difference is that I felt that this company really cared that I had a great experience. We had a large group split into two vehicles. One thing that I liked is that when we stopped the guides, would switch between cars so that when driving you had the opportunity to hear two different viewpoints. The only misstep is that we were running late and the group decided to skip going to the Devaraja market. If you want to spend a day learning the history of India, experiencing the culture of the country and enjoying delicious traditional food with caring tour guides, then book with Hidden Gems.

Praveen and our driver were so kind and helpful. Praveen’s knowledge of history, geography and culture is so impressive and his ability to navigate the different sites made the tour so enjoyable. I learnt a lot and had a lot of fun!

    Go! You won't regret it
Poetry in stone with Praveen and Hidden Gems was an experience out of the ordinary. An intense day, worth every step and second - whether a local wanting to learn more of your heritage or a tourist on a tight schedule wanting to get unforgettable images of India . You'll see sights that will leave you in awe, smells of insence and nature that leaves a print of India in your DNA, tastes of South Indian specialities that will have your taste buds jumping of joy, and a total feeling of fulfillment provided by Praveens philosophy to go the extra mile to make the tour extraordinary. Thank you.

    Incredible Experience!
On our second day of our trip we were able to visit Mysore with Hidden Gems Tours. The temples, markets, and palace made for an incredible cultural experience. Mysore was beautiful, but the guides we had were even better! The people we met and places we visited will stay with me forever. Since returning, all I can think about is when I’ll get to go back! Thank you for making this such an incredible trip for my sister and I!

    Amazing Experience!
Our hike up the Nandi Hills was a fantastic experience. This uncommon path was bejeweled with gorgeous views, historic rest spots, monkey sitings, and more! It was well worth the climb. The view from the top was absolutely rejuvenating. Afterwards we were able to see pottery being made and were given the opportunity to participate too! Lepakshi was a spot that we would have never visited on our own, as it’s simply not as well known. Praveen’s experience with the area and knowledge on the local temple made the trip that much more significant. Seeing the beautiful fresco, hanging pillar, and the stunning architecture of the temple was incredible. To think that this has held up so well after all these years is amazing. Praveen also took us on a detour to see a unique biodiversity with tamarind trees that have surpassed their life expectancies due to a unique phenomenon. I won’t spoil all the secrets, you’ll have to see for yourself! I highly recommend this trip and cannot emphasize enough how great “Hidden Gems” tours are.

    A must do experience!
We took our tour with Praveen and had the most amazing time! Praveen’s passion for Bangalore was evident through every step of the tour. His narrative combined with the gorgeous sites and scenery helped encapsulate Bangalore’s impressive development through the centuries. Not only did I appreciate his stories about the city, but his overall mindset on life was beautiful. I feel so grateful to have been able to take this trip and to have made this connection. Praveen and the many people we were able to interact with throughout the trip are also some of Bengalore’s “Hidden Gems”.

    Stunning sites, incredible guides
My sister and I were thrilled with our tour of Mysore, Somnathpur, and Srirangapatna led by Sanjana and Faizen! We visited so many amazing places: Somnathpur Temple, the stunningly beautiful Mysuru Palace, the Devaraja Market, Srirangapatna. The sights were beautiful, but they were even better in context. Faizen and Sanjana were incredibly knowledgeable, helping us to better appreciate the stunning places with history and cultural significance. Additionally, both Sanjana and Faizen were very kind and relatable, it was so nice to talk to them about their daily lives and learn more about them as people. It really felt like travelling with a great group of friends. Thank you so much for making our first visit to India unforgettable!

Running along the roads of Bengalore.
Visit the botanical gardens and Bull temple and having breakfast with the locals is the best way to explore a city.
Not a ordinary tourist tour, but a inside in Indian life.
One of the best tours i ever made.
Thank you Praveen

On a return visit to Bangalore, I’ve booked another running tour of Bangalore with Praveen. What an excellent tour.

Praveen was able to select a new running route for us that enabled me to explore a new part of Bangalore I am quite sure I would never find without a local guide. Praveen proved an apt and friendly expert who could easily give detail and context to the variety of sites we visited.

As a running tour, Praveen kept our pace consistent and casual. We completed 10k in about 90 minutes as we took several pauses to visit a church, Sikh temple and other cultural spots. Our run was a mix of city neighbourhoods, parks and lakeside.

For fit business professionals, aircrew or adventurous tourists alike, take the opportunity to go on a running tour of Bangalore with Praveen.

This is a MUST do if you like active tours whilst in Bangalore.

Parveen knows so much and his passion for Bangalore shines through.

He took me to so many secret sights within nature and told me about them - my highlights being the 1000’s of fruit bats in a hidden part of the park & the friendly monkeys he took me right up close to!

Having breakfast with him in a local place after the run was the icing on the cake… or should I say the chutney to my puri!

While in Bangalore for a day, I was looking for a place to run and came across Praveen’s running tour of Bangalore parks and rocks. Praveen invited me to join him on the tour. It was a fantastic experience. We ran through the Lalbagh Gardens, to Bugle Rock park and out into Bangalore. Praveen explained the history, botany, and geology of Bangalore. If you are looking for a more active tour, this is it. Highly recommend it.

We had the pleasure of booking Praveen for his Running Tour of Bangalore. It was an amazing experience and the best way to explore and see places of Bangalore you wouldn’t normally see!

We saw amazing Botanical Gardens, we saw a small Cow farm, we saw a family of monkeys, and so much more. We finished the tour off with an incredible breakfast which was divine.

Praveen was so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and professional. I’d love to book another tour the next time I visit Bangalore!

This was a great activity for our first weekend in Bengaluru! Praveen was our extremely knowledgeable guide for our run around Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, to hidden urban temples, past little known parks and a local "laughter club" before a sumptuous South Indian breakfast! A wonderful activity that I'd firmly recommend!
