We reached Sonmarg around 9.00am in the morning.Taxi,pony rides were available to visit different points of sonmarg. The top attractions to visit in Sonamarg are: Zojila Pass · Thajiwas Glacier · Gangabal Lake · Gadsar Lake · Vishansar Lake ·  We have chosen a pony ride. It's an costly affair.Each pony ride costed Rs.3000/- after bargaining.While we were on the way to the Zero point,thajiwas glacier....it was really thrilling. Badal and Raju are the names of the horses.Hussain,Salim are the helpers who accompanied us.Malik,the photographer has also accompanied throughout.....but return journey a bit tedious due to Rocky path. What a mesmerizing experience! Sonamarg is an absolute delight to watch where we felt that we has come to a silver snow in paradise. A gods natural gift to the earthy mankind in India, it is a must visit on the itinerary. Tip--a bit costly affair.So better to carry cash.

I had visited Kashmir for 07 N and 8D with my family . During my stay, we visited Sonmarg, Pehelgam, Gulmarg and Srinagar. We reached on 21 May 22 and left on 28 May 22. It was an awesome experience that we will cherish forever. My itinerary was as follows :- 1 day : reach srinagar from Delhi. Local sightseeing in the afternoon 2nd day : One day trip to Sonmarg 3rd day : local sightseeing srinagar 4-5 day : two day trip to Pehelgam 6th day: One day trip to gulmarg 7th day : One day local sightseeing srinagar Following are the suggestions :- Night halt at sonmarg recommended. Little far from Srinagar. You will find snow only at Sonmarg, Zero Point. Outside vehicle not permitted to go to zero point. Need to hire a vehicle from sonmarg for zero point and zojila pass. Around Rs 6000 will be the cost. Hiring of Pony essential at Sonmarg for Tajakawas glacier, pehelgam and gulmarg. Hard bargain essential. For eight people, we have spent around around Rs 50000 only for pony rides Outside vehicle not allowed for sight seeing at pehelgam and gulmarg also There is no information board or tourist office. Everything seems unorganised. So hard bargain essential Hire a car or SUV for total trip from srinagar. One day price for scorpio, around 3500. Shikhara ride at Dal Lake, surely go longer route upto char chinar. It is worth it. Costs around 2750 per boat. Nathua Sweets at Srinagar, hill top restaurant at gulmarg are good places to eat Always take one helper per pony during ride at all places. Certain sections are very steep. Horse needs to be controlled.

We had a excellent tour of kashmir, we were 6 people including 3 small kids, we had been to srinagar, so mar, gulmarg and pahalgam, best being pahalgam we hired a great guy named Adil who picked up us from airport and was all along with us through out the tour, he was pleasent and honest and guided us what do do where, also our kids enjoyed his company, I would recommend tourist to hire his services, Adil. So we were there from 11th to 15th September 2021. As mentioned we were taken to Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Gulmarg and Srinagar each for a day. We also stayed at a boathouse they have and had a phenomenal experience. Zahoor and Khurshid bhai made our stay and travelling an absolute breeze. Food @ Hospitality Home was mouthwatering🙈.
