Gentle kayak trip through beautiful scenery
This was a wonderful safe 2 hour kayak trip. We each had our own stable kayak and life vest and the double ended paddle was attached to the boat therefore suitable for sensible older children. The trips are at high tide when the river waters are still, and allow an easy paddle across to the backwaters where we saw butterflies, dozens of eagles, (one of which made a catch in front of us!), enormous fruit bats, a kingfisher, plus the usual ibis and egrets etc. then we moved into the mysterious mangroves. At high tide little crabs climb up the tree trunks and in the silent stillness it felt quite surreal to see literally hundreds of them perched above the waterline. If your party is quiet you can hear absolutely nothing but the sounds of nature. Quite a change from baga beach!!. I would recommend this trip for anyone who enjoys peaceful natural environments and doesn't mind getting a bit wet. (And the lazy goose restaurant at the meeting point is highly recommended).

      Kayaking nature trip
This was a great two hours spent on the river, kayaking along the river and through mangroves. Expect to see, eagles, hawks, kites, egrets, ibis, fruit bats and more, definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Goa, loved it. This trip departs from the Lazy Goose restaurant under Nerul Bridge, near Candolim....the restaurant is very good to

      Kayaking 🛶
Did this one day before leaving Goa, and it was the best decision and gave us the best experience. A trip full of exciting new things got the best ending it could get. Everyone visiting Goa has to do this,I'm going to make sure I'm doing this again every time I'm in Goa. Lol. Best time : High Tide (which they will guide you with) kayaking while jetty boats pass you by, getting into the mangroves, going through small gaps between trees bending onto the surface of the water. The guide is perfect, he'll give you all the details required. It's a great experience, surely a new one and an experience that can't be done just once.

      Great kayaking, highly recommended
We went for a 2 hour, two person kayaking trip with two guides. The guides were friendly, spoke good English and in general knew their stuff. The equipment was great, very easy to paddle, had no difficulties at all. Would even recommend for children (8+ years old maybe), or for anyone really. It was easy, relaxing and not straining. We saw a lot of different birds (a lot of eagles and storks, for example), jumping fish and fruit bats (they're huge!), and paddled under the mangrove trees. One thing to improve is that the guides could have told a bit more about the flora and fauna of the area. They answered readily to questions, though, if you knew how to ask. All in all, a great experience!

      A memorable experience..
We visited goa at the end of the season and most of the tour operators were closed. We contacted Rajesh Khanna from nature trails at the last minute and he immediately obliged and confirmed our kayaking fr the same day. We had a wonderful time and Raj guided us extremely well throughout. The kayaks and other equipment were in great condition. We had a nice lunch waiting for us when we got back. That was a nice surprise! Will definitely go back to try out other services provided by Nature trails.

Definetly not worth it. Just dissapointing
We went there today at lunch time. The two guys just said "hello" and "here you can put your camera". No explanations at the beginning neither during the ride. We just crossed the main river trying to reach the same speed as the "guide". No ride into mangroves. It took 1h to 1.5 for 1750 each including a bottle of water and a sandwich with fries. We just saw a few birds. We expected a little bit more, like driving into mangroves and explanations. The equiment is in good shape, but the conditions of the river probably did not allow to explore further, which would have been fine if the guides would have told before - especially concerning the price. Very dissapointing for us.

      Fantastic experience
I booked a kayaking tour with Goa Nature Trails and am so glad I did. We were a little bit apprehensive, having never kayaked before and seeing the size of the river, but we had no need to be worried. Right from the first point of contact, communication was excellent, Rajesh made sure we knew where we were going for the start of the tour and kept in touch with us in the days before hand to confirm the start time, as times are dependant on tides. On arrival at Amigos (the bar where the tour starts) we were given all the necessary kit and had a few lessons on how to kayak and then we set out along the river. Everything was kept to the tour group's pace, if you wanted to stop and take photos or have a rest this was fine, if you wanted to go a little further there was more than one guide so this was also fine. The whole experience was very relaxed and professional. The highlight was going in to the mangroves and seeing the fruit bats. On our arrival back at Amigos we were treated to a delicious lunch which we ate together as a group. Kayaking with Goa Nature Trails is without doubt my best experience in Goa so far.

      Kayaking on the Nerul River
Something apart from the regular beach experience in Goa, this is something that I would definitely recommend. For first timers, the first 10 minutes seem tough, but once you get the hang of it, it's lovely. Kayaking through the mangroves, getting stuck in them, getting rescued, going with and against the stream; it's quite an adventure. All this coupled with good conversations, can make your day :) I'm definitely going back.

      Mountain bike tour
It was a great tour. I gifted this tour to my brother in law as a Xmas present. It has been a 100% success and fun for both of us! Being based 15 years in Goa, I still discovered new and great nature places and back roads. If you are looking for something besides the hustle and bustle of Goa, this is the right tour. Suitable also for medium fit persons. A must to do!

absolutely amazing experience, mountain biking in Goa. Goa nature trails put a lot of effort into the minor details, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Lovely snack to end the experience and a "smilestone" to be kept as a momento.

Completely peaceful experience and the staff is super friendly, one of our friends couldn't paddle so the guide Mahesh, pull her all the way and at the end they give you a beautiful gift I won't spoil the surprise. Super safe even for non swimmers.

Kayaking the best way to see Goa
Well I am absolutely terrified of what lurks beneath the water in Goa's rivers and mangroves but Rajesh alievated my fears by saying there are no man eaters in the water but plenty of snakes in the trees so be carefull what you get hold of! I soon realised that I had more chance of winning the lottery than being eaten and began to enjoy the unbelievable nature and scenery the fruit bats are huge, eagles everywhere. Next I would like to say a huge thank you to Rajesh what an absolute gentleman, such a character as well he deeply cares for the local nature and your well being. He is a true man of the world and I wish him all the best for the future.

We had booked the kayaking tour on a Sunday evening in January. It was a 2-hour tour where each of the participants was given their own boat and necessary paraphernalia. All of the equipment was well-maintained. Getting to the restaurant, where the tour starts, was not difficult. The assisting staff was very courteous and skillful. Although the level of fitness expected is not very high, we had the option of having our boat attached to that of the crew members. By the time we were underneath the bridge, it was dusk and we saw the sunset while rowing across Nerul River. We could carry our phones along and keep it in a pouch at the side of the kayak that had a pack of biscuits and a bottle of water. The ride came with a complimentary supper at Amigos restaurant. Personally, the tour was worth every penny. A must-go for adventure lovers. Looking forward to their cycle tour the next time I visit Goa.

Nice adventurous Kayak along the picturesque Nerul river. A beautiful respite from the scorching sun. Although, it wasn't so pleasant to see lot of plastic strewn all along. The river also seems to be deprived of varied life forms. A few bird nestings were the only prominent sighting. Its definitely not the best kayak tour but surely a recommended one in Goa. Five stars for the effort put in but 3 star for the state of the river.

Hi Anurag! Thanks for your review. We're happy to know that you enjoyed your tour of the picturesque Nerul Creek & also noticed some of the bird & wild life in and around the mangrove forests which are self sustaining Eco systems. Goa itself has over 400 varieties of birds; a large number of which nestle in wet lands & mangroves of the State. As you may have realised the Nerul water body we use for kayaking is a sea water tidal creek which besides being picturesque, wild & forested also unfortunately brings back everything strewn by tourists & others all along the coastal areas along with the incoming tide. The entire issue becomes unmanageable even by nature due to the hordes of people that descend on Goa during end December. This combined with the fact that there is no systems in place does lead to visible garbage. We as stakeholders n concerned Nature lovers assure you that we shall continue to create awareness around the belt & try our best to make the authorities move on the issue of systematic garbage management. I must also bring to your notice that majority of the plastic bottles that you see are actually bottles utilised by traditional fishermen as floats for nets to catch crabs. Thank you once again for your review n hope that you would be back to a cleaner n greener Goa the next time around. 😊👍

My husband and I booked the cycling trip with Goa Nature Trails. We were taken through the charming little by roads and a little bit of a forest to reach the aguada fort. On the way back we took a slightly different route to experience more of the hilly terrain and the lush mangroves. Rajesh, his wife Sangeetha and their team were very friendly and helpful. They took utmost care of our safety ensuring that there was always a guide with us to keep pace with us. We did not feel rushed and were allowed to cycle at a pace that was comfortable. And the team was always at hand to help us over the more difficult terrain. Anyone with moderate stamina can do this and the view from the top pf the aguada fort makes every little effort worthwhile. On the whole this turned out to be one of the best experiences we had in goa. And if we ever go back to goa this is something we will definitely do again.

I purchased "AGUADA HILL CYCLING TOUR FROM NERUL" online through Viator tours. After waiting a day or two for my voucher/ticket I noticed no contact. I contacted them through email and got no reply after another 48hours. After this I tried calling them and they did not understanding the problem and told me to continuing waiting. I emailed them another two times asking for my money back and they have continued to ignore me. I even went to the venue on the day it was meant to occur and no one was there. essentially they have taken my money and privided nothing.

I do not recommend this deceitful Company.

Hi Lawrence! Wish u had just got in touch with us instead of posting a factually incorrect review which affects our prospects even though we were not to blame. If u can reach Trip Advisor- u could have emailed/ called us directly as the numbers are on our TripAdvisor page. Anyway; this is the true story- * you booked n your money is with Viator n not with us. * we got a mail from Viator giving us an option to accept/ reject your booking which we rejected as it did not meet our minimum requirement of two people per tour. * on receiving this they should have given u the reason n refunded your money which may just be a process which takes some time from their end n not a scam as suggested by u. * ur money is likely to come back, Viator continues to take bookings n we have to live with this scar while we were not to blame. * u did not find anyone at the muster point as there was no tour on the day n that is the very reason we could not accommodate a single kayaker which we have made very clear to online booking sites. * I request u to kindly take back ur comments n also give us a direct opportunity to deal with u as then we can find solutions for u. Kindly email me at info@goanaturetrails.com n mark a copy to goatropical@hotmail.com

On the lead up to the kayaking trip Raj was very prompt at replying to questions through whatsapp.

Equipment is in good shape, and the river was calm. I felt safe in the kayak with the provided equipment (having kayaked before). Take heed of the warning from Raj that your feet and seat will get wet and do what I didn't do and bring a change of trousers/shorts :)

We had with us an experienced kayaking guide and an English speaking guide; it would have been nice to have been told about the birds and bats and sights we saw. Our guide told us what he knew when we asked but I'm more use to a chattier guide - it didn't take away from our enjoyment though.

We went up and down the river on either side of the Nerul bridge and through the mangroves - my favourite part! Our guide offered us biscuits and sweets as we went and we finished with a sandwich; not sure what the meat options are but the veg option was a salad sandwich with chips. Water bottles were provided.

Overall - I would absolutely trust Raj with a tour in the future. I felt safe and the duration of the tour was worth the cost. I'd just ask the guide more questions about what I wanted to know. Would do it again!

The Cycles were in great condition, the guides were friendly and had very good knowledge of the track. We went off road many a times and explored unexplored territory. The snack at Britos was great too. Overall had a great time with Goa Nature Trails and its a MUST DO in goa for all of you.

Rajesh along with his wife Sangeetha and son Manav were the perfect hosts for the tour. It is definitely a very different Goa I visited this time exploring locales which were beautiful and activated the adrenaline junkies within us. The kayaking tour was such an extraordinary experience for a non swimmer like me...however the cycling tour was much more fun and the trek to Fort Aguada was an icing on the cake. The view of the ocean was breathtaking and took away all the muscular twinges from the cycling among the tiny lanes of goan vaddos....all in all brilliant experience. Sturdy equipment, experienced guides and exceptional locations. Great going Rajesh!
