About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Travel308510145660 contributionsNICE tours is a great way to visit Egypt.Absolutely incredible. !!Marena Fayek of NICE tours was our contact person throughout the trip. The trip was easy to book for a very reasonable price.from landing in Cairo to airport back in Cairo all details were taken care up and Marena kept in contact the whole time. Letting us know who would be picking us up, time schedules and answered any questions we had. We were picked up at airport , taken on an evening river cruise then to our hotel. Each day we had a tour guide who met us at hotel and we toured- pyramids , cathedrals, temples. Plane tickets arranged for us to Luxor where we started our Nile cruise., including a balloon ride, sightseeing to more beautiful temples, amazing food and service on the cruise. And return flight to Cairo. We always felt safe and cared for. I highly recommend NiCE tours and Marena is an amazing host.Written September 6, 2024
- johnwQ6397VC0 contributionsFantastic way to see EgyptVisiting the pyramids and museums in Giza, Cairo, Saqqara and Memphis are definitely a must in Egypt of course, but this cruise may have been my favorite part of my trip. The staff and boat are top notch, and the guide was amazing. Ask for Tarek as a guide if you do the English speaking tour!Written September 6, 2024
- G6975WPsheilal0 contributionsWorth Every Penny!!!There is so much to do and see in Egypt. I highly recommend this tour guide group. We were meet at every entrance to ensure our safety and comfortability. As of May 2024, you are unable to exchange American currency for Egyptian pounds in any of the airports. Our first driver took us to an ATM, checked the location (with us standing there). He didn't feel right about it so we went to another one. We received history from everyone from the tour guide company. There were no unanswered questions. If it was on the list to do, we did it. The hot air balloon ride may change according to the weather, which is not something they can control (safety first). The overnight train ride does make many stops (but it's a train). I recommend upgrading to first class for the small amount of money they ask for. You will want the A/C in Egypt. The days start early (some times with a 3am or 4am) wake up call. It's to get you out of the heat before it's unbearable. Most of the Nile boat travel is at night so get your pictures when you return from your daily tours. We opted for a couples massage on the boat. The boat is a smaller version of an American cruise ship (we know the cost of a massage on them). Our couples massage was $50.00 per person. So worth it as you do a lot of walking on the tours. Wear comfy shoes you don't mind getting sand in. The food was well prepared. I felt bad for the tipping but our tour guide gave us amounts that were well suited for tipping. We had $100 for tipping for 8 days (other than our main tour guide). It was more than enough. Every one was kind and courteous. Very respectable. May is the end of their season as the temperatures continue to rise. I would suggest going prior to this as many things will start closing. Buy your water and snacks at the markets. Water was around .85 for a liter. If possible, request Ahmed. He's the best.Written September 2, 2024
- Adam H0 contributionsBest 4 day Nile Cruise with great tour company and excellent guide Hassan AliFabulous trip with so much to see and all with our guide Hassan Ali who was great, excellent English, great knowledge and passion for history and kept our three teenagers engaged throughout. Definitely made the trip for us. Would thoroughly recommend 4 days was about the right time. There is lots to see and do and we had some down time in the afternoons also. Boat was great, staff were welcoming and kind, food was excellent and a great range for all palettes. Boat was clean and tidy and the excursions were excellent.Written September 1, 2024
- S1692QVevap0 contributionsNile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan and sightingAfter 2 days in Cairo we went on a 5 day Nile cruise on M.S.Acamar. The boat, food and service were fantastic! We really enjoyed spending evenings at the swimming pool on top level and relaxing after day busy with historical sites sighting. Our tour guide egyptologist Mahmoud Hassan was excellent! He led us through crowds in tempos and showed us all the top things to see and told us lots of historical details. My knowledge of Egyptian history expanded immensely during this trip. Mahmoud also arranged for us additional fun trips: amazing hot air balloon sunrise ride over Luxor historical sites, sailing on Nile in felucca and visiting Nubian village in Aswan. Drive through the Sahara Desert to see the Abu Simbel temple and watching sunrise over the desert was also the highlight of our trip. It was very hot during our trip (August) but we visited sites in the mornings and evenings and spent the hottest lunch hours on the boat or in an airconditioned bus. High temperature in dry climate is much easier to handle than hot and sticky summer days in Toronto area where we live. Overall our Egypt trip was fantastic and we will remember it forever. I highly recommend using the Egypt Tour Portal when planning a trip to Egypt. Thanks Mahmoud for an amazing 5 days we spent together on the Nile Cruise! EvaWritten August 28, 2024
- Tourist633632021040 contributionsworse badVery old boat, with sewage outlets, flooded bathrooms in the cabins, unhealthy carpet soaked in sewage, food and fruit that causes stomach discomfort, no entertainment, boringWritten August 27, 2024
- Eric P0 contributionsThis was a truly fantastic experience. Our family group of 5 enjoyed this fantastic collection of top Egypt tourist attractions in a private tour. We liked flexibility to adjust the tour to focus on our interests and flexibility to keep up with our own pace. Possibility of adding extra activities was very much appreciated and made the experience even more special. I would also like to personally send big thanks to our guide Mahmoud Hassan, who was very professional and extremely helpful. We all admired his extensive knowledge and the ability to pass the information in very interesting and effective way.Written August 25, 2024
- salus20240 contributionslousy cruiseAs soon as we arrive, they assign us cabin 315, which is flooded, the carpet was submerged in the water, the rotten smell was enormous, they changed it for another one with the legs of a bed broken, my daughter threw it against the floor as soon as she went to bed, it was They change again for another one, the last one I couldn't sleep, the engines fill the room with such noise that you have to leave, only a few waiters and a good guide are saved, a very good person Mohamed. When you pay by card they charge you a 3% commission, don't let them ruin your vacation like us, changing boats and suppliers, you will only be merchandise for themWritten August 15, 2024

- nichelled20160 contributionsThe tour was amazing!!This tour was absolutely perfect! I can't say enough how amazing amazing amazing this tour was. My guide, Hatem, was very professional and knowledgeable as well as the driver Mahmoud. From pickup to next day return everything was exceptional. We did Ballon ride, banana island, karnak temple, felucca ride and visited other places. I give this tour 10 stars. Thank you Hatem!!Written July 17, 2024
- 527brycev0 contributionsFantastic guide and decent cruiseThe highlight of our cruise was our tour guide, Ahmed. To say he knows his stuff is an understatement. He is professional, funny and passionate about all of the sites we visited. He knows them so well and will immediately take you to the best bits (while all the other tour guides are blabbing at the entrances) and then allow free time to wander. The boat was good, although we were put in a room that had a very heavy cigarette smoke smell. It took a lot of complaining before we were moved. Our second room was great though. No smells. Overall though, there were a few interactions with the hotel staff with which I felt the service wasn’t great. The meals were really good all round. Drinks cost extra and were reasonably priced. The pool is an odd shape having a large area covered by about 2cm of water and then a smaller deeper section. But it was still good and a much needed relief from the scorching Egyptian heat.Written July 17, 2024
- aniquek20170 contributionsEye-opening tour of EgyptWe booked the 4-day, 3-night Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan with Here Egypt Tours. The itinerary was jam-packed, taking us to Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, the High Dam in Aswan, and Philae. We also paid for add-ons - the morning balloon ride over Luxor, and the day trip to Abu Simbel. All these sites were made meaningful and exciting for us by our tour-guide, Ahmed. Over the course of 4 days, he taught me how truly to see. When we started, I didn’t know much about Egypt’s history and monuments, and the first few temples and tombs were impressive for their sheer vastness and ancientness. Quickly I realised that each one had something unique and precious to teach with distinguished master scenes adorning the walls. I came to understand why some figures were chiseled out of the stone/redacted, to recognize which figures were royal and which were gods, to distinguish between the 22 crowns worn by the royalty, to spot the tell-tale changes in colour which indicate where a site was submerged in sand/water before being excavated, and even to read some of the hieroglyphics. With each site, Ahmed built on our knowledge, repeated and consolidated what we had already learnt, and responded to our questions, often going off-script to tell us (very excitedly) about other features of the site. Overall, the impression I have of Ahmed is that he is someone who really knows his stuff. And who really genuinely cares about it too. As we got to know him better, a real affection developed, and we felt like he was someone we could trust to advocate for us, to guide us with the logistics of getting around Egypt, and to share with us his knowledge and expertise. I suspect we only just scratched the surface of all he had to teach. Touring Egypt in the off-season has its advantages - the sites are quieter, you don’t have to queue, entrance fees are discounted, and tour groups are smaller. But it’s not for the faint-of-heart. Most days you wake up before the crack or dawn and all your touring is complete by lunchtime in order to avoid having to be anywhere un-airconditioned during the heat of the day (most days it got to 43 degrees Celsius). This meant lots of time wallowing in the pool on the sundeck of the boat or watching the Nile slide by through the cabin’s floor-to-ceiling window. Our cruise ship was the Princess Olivia Signature, and seemed to be one of the nicer ones on the water. The food was really high-quality. I’ve never been so thrilled by the variety and freshness of a salad bar - seriously. It took a lot of self-control not to overeat on the Egyptian and more Western dishes, which included soups, breads, salads, pastas, meat, chicken, fish, and desserts. Drinks are not included, and the overly-solicitous wait-staff and barman consistently hustling to upsell you on drinks (even when you’re clearly immersed in conversation with friends) can get a bit annoying. The only negative part of our experience was that we got put in the room at the front of the boat, which smelled horribly of cigarette smoke (probably because it was right next to the captain’s control room). When we complained about it, the manager totally gaslighted us - “that can’t be, this is a non-smoking cruise”, “it must be your fault because you opened the window”, “we will spray some air freshener to make it go away”. It was only after the fourth complaint, when I went to desk and, with regrettable and uncharacteristic aggression, demanded that they give us a different cabin, that we were begrudgingly relocated to a delightful room that smelled constantly of freshly baking bread. Definitely an upgrade. I realise now that, if we had texted Ahmed immediately and told him of our complaint, he would have pulled some strings and fixed the problem with no hassle. I guess the lesson is to let your tourguide be your ally. Also, the daily towel creations were one of my favorite parts. I have included a picture of the elephant!Written July 17, 2024

- davidkO9778HH0 contributionsA tumultuous beginning of an amazing tripStarted off kind of crazy! After they picked me up at the hotel and brought to airport. I went to go check in for my flight and found out that the airline cancel the flight very last minute without a warning to anyone and had no other flights to Luxor that day. Left the tour operator and me scrambling to find another early morning flight to Luxor with a different airline. With a little patience and time they were able to get me on the last morning flight to there. Then came the mad dash from terminal 1 to terminal 3 and just barely beating the final boarding call. But after all that the tour went way beyond my expectation and left amazed by the sites. Salwa, Hatem, Amritsar, Mohamed, and Sayed were all extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make this trip spectacular!Written May 26, 2024
