- J2427LXalexv0 contributionsWonderful experience of the pyramidsFor my partner's birthday, I decided to surprise him with a day trip to Cairo to see the pyramids—and he absolutely loved it! We chose to fly from Hurghada instead of taking the coach, which I highly recommend. The journey was quick, allowing us to spend the entire day exploring. I was especially pleased that everything went smoothly with no delays. The tour itself was incredible and made for an unforgettable day for both of us. Our guide, Fuhme, was fantastic. His charisma and deep knowledge made the experience so enjoyable, as he shared fascinating facts about ancient Egypt, the pyramids, and modern Cairo. He also took some amazing photos for us! It was a full day of sightseeing, and I genuinely feel like we saw everything in one go. We ended the trip with a peaceful boat ride along the Nile, and to top it off, our guide treated us to ice cream! I can't thank him enough for making the day so special. We didn't experience any issues with harassment or pressure to buy things, which added to the comfort of the trip. If you're visiting the pyramids in Cairo, I strongly recommend going with a tour guide—it provides peace of mind when it comes to safety and lets you fully enjoy the experience without any worries.Written October 7, 2024
- moirag5530 contributionsGreat Day OutGood communication and organisation by Book Tour Egypt. Picked up on time from hotel, slightly chaotic at dock pre-boarding. Well organised at end to get to return transport. We were on Elinora and the crew were friendly and very laid back, but professional and very safety conscious. Boat uncrowded (est about 35 people) and plenty of free time in the water at first two locations (Ras Bob and Jackson Reef - I think). Crystal clear water with plenty fish and coral beds. Third stop was more time controlled - still more than adequate. Lunch very satisfactory. This was probably the highlight of our stay and we would recommend.Written October 6, 2024

- Kevin R0 contributionsExcellent tour, well worth itThis was a well organised tour from start to finish. The communications from the office were very quick and clear and they also advised us to go on a different day if we could as the flight times were better. The flight is only an hour so with a 3 year old this was much more manageable than the 6/7 hour bus trips on offer for cheaper tours and well worth the extra money (leaving at 4.15am rather than 1am and back in our hotel by 10pm). The tour guide Ahmed, his assistant and driver were very hospitable and looked after us well and the structure of the tour was good. It is hot in June but we expected that and were prepared. We were provided with plenty of water and even an ice cream. The museum, pyramids and sphinx are amazing and the lunch was very good; basic but tasty and plenty to select from. We knew we'd stop at some local trades (perfume and papyrus) and as long as you're prepared to haggle and not be pressured you'll be okay. The papyrus we bought is very impressive, now displayed in our hallway. The boat cruise is basic but relaxing and the camel ride at the pyramids well worth the extra charge. Overall this was a great tour that we will remember for the rest of our lives.Written October 3, 2024
- 494manojd0 contributionsAmazing Day at the Pyramids! We booked with Book Tour Egypt from many recommendations and very glad we did! We were picked up early 4am from our hotel promptly. We flew to Cairo. Our guide Fahmi and driver Mohammed met us outside the airport. Then the amazing journey began. Fahmi was really amazing with his immense knowledge and articulate way of explaining everything. We spent an inspiring and knowledgeable couple of hours at the Cairo Museum. Then went to Giza and Pyramids where it was absolutely incredible! Fahmi arranged everything just perfectly! We had a horse carriage ride and they took amazing photos of us. We visited inside one of the pyramids complimentary and walked around the Pyramids with fantastic views all around. Fahmi just made it magical! We then went around the Sphinx and again Fahmi explained everything very carefully and even took amazing photos for everyone. We then finished off by taking a really nice and relaxed Nile river boat trip before being dropped off at the airport. All in all I would really recommend this trip even though it seems a lot to do in a single day it didn’t feel as bad as it sounded especially with Book tour Egypt and especially with Fahmi.Written October 2, 2024

Communication 100% via WhatsApp. We visited the Giza Pyramids/Sphinx, Saqarra pyramid, Memphis, Nile cruise, perfume shop & lunch. Thankyou again for making our day very special. - Traveler5935400 contributionsWonderful Experience of EgyptWonderful trip. You can’t come to Egypt and not see the Pyramids and this trip had that and so much more. The guides were brilliant and thanks go to them for making this trip what it was, so big shout outs to Fuhme, Akram and driver Mo. Fuhme has an abundance of knowledge and keeps you informed throughout the day, Akram is the joker and Mo is the driver who copes with Cairo traffic (which is no mean feat). On our trip there were 3 Brits, including myself, 2 Germans and 2 Tunisian (and their adorable little boy) and we all interacted well with each other. Don’t get me wrong this is an extremely long trip and as a 64 year old, overweight couch potato there were times I wanted to be buried in a pyramid myself, as there is quite a bit of walking involved. The trip started at the airport and the first stop was the boat ride on the Nile (including a toilet stop before at the Four Seasons Hotel). Personally I found this a waste of time and money. You went 10 minutes up the river and back, with nothing much to look at. Then onto the museum, which is packed full of exhibits, which alone you wouldn’t know where to go, but Fuhme knew exactly where to go and took us around to see the main ones and then we had a few minutes of free time (which I spent in the gift shop). The next stop was Giza, where we had lunch, which was chicken kebab and kofte with salad etc. Then onto the Pyramids, for about 3 hours, with countless photo opportunities and endless walking (which as mentioned, I’m not used to) and the Sphinx. Also included are visits to the Papyrus factory/shop and perfumery. Time and traffic permitting you may also visit Old Cairo and museum, before heading back to the airport. Everything ran very smoothly and I would thoroughly recommend this to everyone and I hope you find this useful.Written October 1, 2024
- Dave01020 contributions2 day trip to Cairo from Hurghada via flightAt first I was a little sceptical of having to hand over cash on arrival at Hurghada- however the communication via WhatsApp was very good and the company kept to their word. Everything went to plan, and the flight to Cairo is quite short (1hour) Day 1 We were met by Fahme at Cairo airport and our day started with a Nile cruise. Fahme is an excellent guide and photographer so we had great fun with the photos he took. Then we visited the Egyptian museum, Fahme took us round and told us interesting facts about the pieces. Then it was off for food which was ok, essentially bbq meat and sides. Then we went to Giza to view the pyramids. Again Fahme was excellent and gave great support to my mother helping her round the attractions. Finally we were dropped off at the Cairo hotel which was a very nice hotel. Day 2 Mario picked us up at 11am and took us to a collection of churches. The churches were beautiful and Mario was very knowledgeable. Then we went to visit two Mosques and Mario was able to give us a very detailed guided tour explaining the history of them and the history of the country. Finally we went for some delicious typical Egyptian food - Koshari. The restaurant had a fantastic back story too. We were then offered a chance to tour Cairo for £10 - but we were tired and went straight to the airport. Our driver for the two days - Mohammed was excellent. The roads in Cairo are chaos but he navigated us through the traffic with great expertise. Downsides You are taken to several tourist traps as part of the tour. There’s a papyrus shop, which has an interesting demonstration but you get trapped in a room with a shop seller who is waiting for someone to crack and but something it’s very awkward. The Horse and camel tours at the pyramids are great for photos but you are left extremely vulnerable as the guide doesn’t come and the tour stops for photos where you get harassed for tips and then told to tip more. Then you get back on the cart or camel and come back. The oils shop was very awkward again you are expected to buy something, with long awkward silences. We all left with out buying anything. Day 2 seemed a little unorganised with us left with a couple of hours in the morning with nothing to do as the hotel is good but there’s nothing around it. The jewellery shop again seemed to be a trap to get you to buy something- though they have a replica of the Tutankhamen mask which you can get photos with. That was really good as you can’t take photos of the real one. Overall this was a 5 star trip with excellent tour guides, but it could be improved if there was an option to miss the tourist traps. I’d happily pay more for that option as everything else was first class.Written September 30, 2024

We booked the trip to Luxor by phone.
We found the agency number on trip advisor, and we decide to organise with book tour Egypt..
I recommend to bring euros with you it’s much easier and economic.
By the way we payed everything by card , you can trust them.
They will send to you a taxi to your address and bring you to the airport and give you the ticket to fly.
Once you arrive to luxur the will pick up you to the airport with the guide that will show you different locations.
Our guide was MOHI , he was extremely brilliant and full of knowledge.
Ask for him if you can choose..
I rate his experience and my experience 10 out 10..
Thanks Book tour Egypt.

Trip did not happen.
Flights from Sharm to Luxor were not happening only chartered flights. Seems they didn’t know that. They took our money but couldn’t give us the trip. They tried for an alternative date however we just didn’t get confirmation.
They did communicate with us. But we just got tired of waiting for a confirmation
We are now waiting for our return of funds.
However please be aware we did a trip with them last year which was fantastic
I’m assuming it’s out of season hence no flights. But taking our money without knowing that is false advertising. We communicate with them in December and they said they could do the trip. They only said they could not once we paid our money and got to Egypt. This did not give us time to arrange anything else.
Very disappointing and a shame after our wonderful trip with them last year.

The whole day trip was amazing from start to finish. Everything was so well organised. We were in a party of 9 people and we all got on so well, had a real laugh. Flew from Sharm to Luxor a 45 minute flight. Visited 2 places then a boat along the Nile to a lovely hotel for a 3 course lunch then visited our last place. (There were a couple of little stop off in between) A long day about 15 hours but well worth it. We had a most fantastic Egyptologist who explained everything, he made us laugh and was so knowledgable, he was great.
Go if you have the chance it’s a day you will remember for ever.

We were really looking forward to this trip and then just hours before we were to leave for our trip to Luxor it was cancelled. We were given no explanation until I pushed and then we were told they didn’t have enough people to run it. It was so disappointing and to have such little notice, we had organised all our other activities eg diving around this and by the time we were notified it was too late to re-arrange dives. Such a shame.

Great agency, highly recommended. We went to Petra and Luxor with them from Sharm El Sheikh. Both tours were amazing, very clear and easy logistics, 5 stars guides and drivers, very well organized, and super efficient admin team. Will definitely book more tours with them next time we go to Sharm.

Book tour egypt were totally professional and superbly organised with this trip involving many separate modes of transport. Each team member kept us informed of the different legs of the journey. It was an incredible trip made so enjoyable by the knowledge of our guide Muhammad. He answered every question during this trip to the most iconic if historical sights. Book tour egypt were very competitive. I was so pleased I didn't opt to go with the holiday tour operator which were much more expensive for the same trip. We felt safe at all times and the guide protecting us from the many street vendors which approach you at the sights. Would recommend to anyone considering travelling in egypt

Amazing trip! Definitely worth the extra expense to visit. Luxor is beautiful and full of history.
We were picked up from our hotel and dropped at the airport, our driver made sure we knew what we were doing and where to go before he left us. Getting through the airport was easy enough to although be prepared for the many security checks! The flight was good....first time I've got anything free on a flight in years (water & nuts).
On arrival our tour guide was waiting outside for us and straight into an air conditioned minibus/cab (bliss!). After that we were taken to see the listed sites....I won't go into them but they were all excellent! The guide got us through all possible difficulties and helped us avoid the hecklers which was a relief! We were given time at each site to explore and take our time. Then delivered back to the airport when we had had enough.
Only negative I can say is that we only found out the details of the pick up time etc the day before and everything was a bit trust and it will happen....it was very nerve wracking for a control freak like me! I think this is normal though from what I've heard from other tours.
