- roopakr20240 contributionsPoor Communication and letdown from the beginningMy anticipation for the journey from Hurghada to Cairo was met with mixed feelings and let down right from the beginning. The promise of a Minivan for our travel comfort was the initial letdown, as we were provided with a sedan car instead. This not only affected the spaciousness we expected traveling with a customer, but also raised concerns when the tour operator did not offer any solution when questioned about the change. On a positive note, the guide assigned to us was incredibly helpful and patient in guiding us for the shopping in the market, ensuring our day was as smooth as possible. However, when it came to the rich history of the places we visited, the information provided felt very limited. For a city steeped in history like Cairo, I expected a more comprehensive narrative to truly appreciate the sites. In conclusion, for the price I paid, I was expecting more comfort and value, which I did not receive from this tour.Written May 2, 2024
- 771selinam0 contributionsWorth while day tripAfter a long and bumpy coach ride wonderful to see the lush green feudal fields in Luxor still tended by hand with a donkey. A truely ‘biblical’ scene. Valley of the Kings impressive and beautiful. Karnak spectacular in size and once magnificence. Local lunch in cool setting under trees with tasty dishes. A very worthwhile day excursion with good guide.Written April 18, 2024

- Johnno9990 contributionsFantastic 4 day 3 night Nile cruise!Really enjoyed the 4 day 3 night cruise. Be prepared for some early starts but they were well worth it to get to see all the amazing temples / tombs at Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor. Mahmoud was a great guide, as well as being very flexible and helpful. Food on the cruise was nice and plentiful. The staff on the ship were very friendly. The balloon ride was a great experience as well as the optional Nubian village tour. I would definitely recommend the tour. I would add some photos but I took that many I would not do the review justice by only adding a few.Written January 18, 2024
- PDH7110 contributionsGreat! It was pretty awesome to see the pyramids despite the very early start (2.30am!). Our drivers were fantastic and very professional throughout the whole day. They dealt with the traffic in Cairo very well and we felt safe with them the whole day. Thank you Mohammed and Mahmoud! We visited the Egyptian Museum first which was pretty cool although tired looking, but to be expected as a new one is being built in its stead. The Tutankhamen exhibit was amazing and we enjoyed the exhibits throughout which were rich with history. The pyramids and sphinx were definitely the highlight and it was pretty epic to get to view an ancient wonder of the world in person! Our tour guide could have done with slowing down a bit and we could have done without the visit to the papyrus and the perfume shops but otherwise the buffet lunch was good. Definitely worth the trip!Written January 1, 2024
- Paul N0 contributionsGreed and unsafeWhat should have been a fantastic flight was marred by greed and overcrowding. Our balloon had 8 compartments which the operator insisted filling with four people each. This made it difficult for the less nimble to enter (there were no steps) and nigh on impossible to get out of. Apart from the safety issues, you didn’t have room to enjoy the wonderful views across to the Valley of the Kings. Only go if the operator guarantees 2 or 3 maximum to a compartment. Our trip was organised by Jules Verne from whom I’d have expected better.Written December 7, 2023

An amazing family day out
May 2022 • Family
We had an amazing time! We are a family with 2 kids (5 and 3) and they could participate in all activities. We drove 4WD and spider car in the middle of the desert. We also ride a camel in a bedouin village. We finished our day with a lovely barbecue. We had lots of fun! Definitely recommend!

I had a fun safari trip in Hurghada where I rode the quad bike and I enjoyed it very much and the weather was very impressive and then I tried riding camel which was difficult in the beginning but I enjoyed riding it a lot and then I got my food in a wonderful Bedouin way and I got the Bedouin tea really it had an amazing different taste, You should try this yourself because there is not enough for some words to describe this trip

Lacking in Customer Service and Adrenaline
Jun 2019 • Family
We went on this safari having booked it via Tui. It was completely mis-sold to us as the "VIP Desert Experience". On arrival we were not met by anyone and left in a Bedouin themed tarpaulin for 45 mins without water or food let alone a pleasant welcome. This was misinformation by Tui who neglected to tell us to bring a packed lunch, but not even a snack was offered on a "VIP" experience.
When we did get met by the guide, we were then told our children (5 and 8) wouldn't be allowed to ride pillion (I appreciate this was again mis-sold by Tui and not the fault of Badawya Safari). We also had to buy shemaghs at 70 LE each (again told not necessary by Tui - spot a pattern?). The quad biking was OK, if a little bit staged and severely lacking in adrenaline. The lesson on Egypt's history in the middle of the desert lacked purpose apart from reminding me how I'd not been offered a drink. During this time all the children had been put into a Land Cruiser and bumped around the desert after the quads.
On return to the camp, we were offered our first bottles of water, 3 hours after arriving. My wife and I decided to call an end to it and we left early (with another family) as by this stage, my children were bored, thirsty and hungry. The company did eventually agree to give us a lift back to the hotel, but only after an argument over the phone with my good friends at Tui.

Extreme poor service and worn-out machinery
Oct 2019
I will recommend all tourists not to waste a day at the dessert to ride very old Quad biks and unsafe machinery such as “beach buggys” or what kind of machine it was. Most of all it was a steel construction with and old lawn mower engine behind.
We were not hampered with the sand in the desert even dough we have rented scarfs and googles because the machines couldn´t barely run faster than we could walk in high speed. Most of all we could only see the smoke from the worn-out machine in front of us.
When they had to refill oil, the old cans was just thrown away in the dessert. The whole area was full of waste.
The service and guides were extremely poor. The staff was very rude and couldn’t English and directed us by hand and shouts. The area was way to crowed and many tourists was confused about all the yelling.
From we were picked up at the hotel and until we were back it took 9 hours. We had bought a 5 hours trip.
Between riding the different bikes, we had so much waiting time in a awful sitting area without any information. Except that we had to wait a few minutes. During our 9 hours trip we were doing something in approximately 2 hours. The rest was waiting time and transport
I will only mention the Bedouin camp and dinner very lightly because it was such a tourist scam. Nothing more to say
Conclusion: Don´t waste a day at the Quad safri. Spend the day on something els in the sun.
All the best from us. :)

Definitely worth going on.
Aug 2019
Booked this trip via Charming Egypt tours . Staff went over health and safety very clearly and showed everyone how to use the quads safely.
Drove for about 25km through the desert to a camp, rode camels (the man leading the camel was fantastic and took so many photos for myself and my husband). After that, we had a cup of tea and a relax. Rode back through the desert.
Charming Egypt Tours said the trip was 4 hours, but it was over 5 (which was even better as nothing was rushed).
I recommend taking loads of water, although water is given out at the beginning, more is needed, they sell scarves at the quad facility but limited colours, long trousers is a must as the engine on the bikes blows out by your lower leg and it gets very hot.
Definitely worth going on. We had a great day

Loved, Loved, Loved the Quads. Bedouin camp was a farce!
Mar 2019 • Friends
Absolutely loved the amazing quads as actually allowed to go as fast as you want to. On previous quads in other countrys they have restrictions on the speed. The guides at the front and back of the safari were very patient and great fun.
Didn't really enjoy the jeep part to the bedoiun camp. I would rather have continued on the quad.
The Bedouin camp which we were taken around was an embarrassment as it was very obviously a farce. Yes I would have been interested in how some Bedouin may still live but not the ones we had to stand and watch making flat bread and a young boy grinding corn. I understood some of what the guide was saying to them in Arabic. They were certainly putting on a show. They did definatly not live here but obviously travelled in to act out. It did not fall me and my suspicions were confirmed when I spotted the huge satellite dishes that were not even well hidden. I believe they were bedoiun as you can tell from their skin colour and features etc but these specific people do not live this life now. The guide also mistook a question I asked him about an outbuilding when he said there was a generator in it so the police could charge their phone batteries when they visited, ha ha ha. I also did not like to see the camel with a juvenile camel with it tied up and given a plastic bottle of water which it took and balanced in its mouth and drank from without any support from human hands. There were literally hundreds of discarded plastic bottles and lids around it on the ground.
The meal was very nice, fresh and plentiful.
It's worth going for the quad bike tour but please don't be fooled by the 'Bedoiun'. It was interesting to hear the guide telling us about their rituals and way of life but please don't take us for fools.
