        Trustworthy people, great experience
Easy to recommend! Marsa Alam Tours works with the kindest and most trustworthy professionals and gives you a tour that’s well worth the money. Driver Mohamed came with a car in great shape and managed to save a lot of time during the trip; guide Mansoor is knowledgeable, eliminates the need for a professional photographer, incredibly friendly, very fair, and doesn’t try to milk you for money. In fact, he even recommends not to pay the 1800 EGP for Tutankhamon’s grave at the Valley of Kings (he takes you to a much cheaper but almost equally beautiful one), helps you evade the bazaar sellers, and doesn’t manipulate the exchange rate when you pay by card. The optional extension with the Nile cruise and the banana island is more worth doing with a larger party (because it costs 30 USD/person for a couple), but it’s a fun experience, it gives you the freshest bananas you’ve ever had, as well as a great stroll through the banana plantation. The restaurant is nothing special – but safe and hygienic. At the alabaster factory, don’t forget to haggle. The people are very kind, the lemon juice is tasty and everything seems great at first, but they will come at you with an offer that blows your mind. Don’t feel ashamed for going way lower than that. The products themselves are of good quality.

Not recommend the 2 day camping trip to Wadi El hitan from Cairo
We haven't an English guide as agreed but a local driver spoke no English. He took us on the jeep without say anything,(where we go now etc) and all this make us feel uncomfortable and anxious. We had also problem with extras entrance fees (the general phrase "entry fees to Wadi El hitan is confusing). You could make it clear: 5$ for general entrance + 10$ for the museum and ONLY paper cash accepted. Next day at the camping we paid for coffee because it was included only breakfast with "beverages including water and tea (and obviously coffee is not tea). Unfortunately, all these leave a mark to our mood and we didn't enjoy a beautiful place (all Wadi El hitan, lakes, museum was very good 👍) It seemed to me that those who organize our 2 day trip to Wadi El hitan have never visit the place and meet the guys we meet there in person.

        Fantastic guide, sites and transportation
I am not an easy person but this was a fantastic experience. Transport was in a spacious airco private van, the trip was with two drivers for safety who were excellent and very careful. The guide was wonderful, spoke Dutch fluently, had deep knowledge with a degree in Egyptology. And Luxor is just a very impressive place to go. Must see!

very easy and helpful conversation with Youmna and great trip to Abu Simbel
The whole experience was very good, from the moment we got in touch with Marsa Alam tours to the moment we actually had our trip. Youmna was so kind and helpful, she provided us with all the info we needed - like phone number of drivers and guide - days before and she was always available and willing to answer our questions. Mr Mostafa, our guide in Abu Simbel, is an expert egyptologist who made our tour even more interesting. Our driver, also, Mina, was extremely kind and gave us a great suggestion about a restaurant in Aswan to have lunch at the end of the trip. He was also very careful while driving and we were among the first tourists to get to Abu Simbel in the early morning. Definitely suggested.

We recommend a private he-day tour to Wadi el Gamal
It was a private tour for me and my husband and it was excellent. We had a private guide, Hamada, who told us a lot and took us to all the possible places. His guidance cannon be overestimated. We swam on the reef, saw dolphins, a turtle, a stung ray. We drove in the dessert, got to know the fauna and the flora of the desert. Finally, we sat at the fire eating delicious hot dinner under stars, listening to stories told by our Beduin guide who spoke excellent English. Everything was organised perfectly. We are fully satisfied.

        Very good
My experience on the desert Safari in Sharm El Sheikh was fantastic. Riding the quad bikes was exhilarating, and the demonstration of Bedouin culture added a unique touch to the adventure. The meals provided were delicious, adding to the overall enjoyment of the excursion. I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Dendera and abydos are worth the effort to visit.
Abydos and dendera from luxor return to hurghada. Virtually empty temples with a private guided Obama who was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Obviously very much into the history . Previously we visited Abu simbel from a cruise ship with a large group, the experience was incomparable not least because Abu simbel was overcrowded.

        Great trip!
I had a very good experience with this company. I made a blunder booking my trip but Mohammed made sure we ended up having a good time. The snorkelling trip itself was so much fun; the staff make sure everybody is well looked after and they really try to make you a part of the experience and nobody is left behind. The pick up was on time and all went really well. I would certainly use this company again!

        What a day!
What an experience, we had to delay our trip as was poorly but Nada from the company was really kind and rearranged the day we went. She was wonderful throughout. We were picked up at 5.30am, bang on time. The driver collected the other driver in the way. Both were super, really friendly and courteous, no hassle at all. After a long drive where we had a rest break on the way we met with our guide who was wonderful through the day. Very knowledgeable about ancient Egypt and courteous throughout. Karnak Temple, well we could have stayed there all day really. I'm still processing what we saw. We had booked a sailboat trip but the wind was too high, our guide negotiated a river crossing to banana island instead which was a beautiful experience. We went to lunch in a restaurant, all absolutely fine, just pay for drinks. Then we headed to Valley of the Kings. That was some experience, another massive part of the memorable day that will live in the memory. How the tombs were built was mind boggling, our guide told us how long each took and what the workers did. Mind blowing. The last part of the tour was to Hatshepsut Temple. The stories our guide told us, especially about her son was incredible. Heading back, we ended up in an alabaster factory, the least enjoyable part. Promised no hard sell, it was really awkward, being given lovely drinks then the sales pitch. I did not like being put in that difficult position to accept hospitality then feel pressured to buy something. We dropped our guide off then headed back for the long drive to our hotel. What a day. I am so grateful to Nada of Marsa Alam tours for helping us and keeping us informed throughout. Our drivers and guide were excellent and I cannot praise or thank them enough for making this day one that I will never forget.

        Day trip to Luxor
I went on a day trip to Luxor in Feb-24 with Marsa Alam Tours. The booking was straight forward, easy and fast. The driver picked me up on time but the car broke down on the way to Luxor (some issue with the engine cooling). We had several stops on the road side before the car eventually gave up. Another taxi picked me up and took me to Luxor. Fortunately I had an Egyptian SIM to get in touch with Marsa Alam Tours but arrived over 1.5 hours late (I only had ca. 7 hours overall). The guide in Luxor was friendly, quick and helped me to get the most out of the remaining time. I saw other guides that day that were explaining more things but I tend to forget most of it anyway so for me it was fine the way it was. On the way back I had another car which felt like a noticeable upgrade and was a smooth return journey. I might have been simply unlucky with the first car but the offer I got from Marsa Alam was significantly cheaper than the other two offers I requested. So it could also be that I got service I paid for. In any case, it was a good experience and I would visit Luxor again.

        Memory for ever
I Booked the tour 2 weeks before our holiday started. You can chat with the agency for special needs. It was just me and my daughter, the private driver arrived perfectly on time at our hotel. It´s a 5 hour ride to Luxor. There we met our private tour gide Mr. Mansoor. He is a very nice men and he takes good care of us. He is really professionel, he knows where he talks about. On our first day we went to the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. We also had lunch with him and after this he brings you save to your hotel in Luxor. The second day, he bought us the best falafel in town and then we went to the Valley of the kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Bought such beautiful and amazing places! Again lunch was included and also the tickets for all the Temples we visited. If you have special requests to visit some other places, they make it happen. After this the driver took us save and well back to Marsa Alam. Thank you so much Mr. Mansoor! We will never forget this!

        Perfect Trip!
My friend and I recently arranged a semi-customized 7 day trip to Egypt with Marsa Alam Tours. The trip was coordinated by Amal, who was able to book accommodations that I requested, drivers to pick us up at every location, sites around Cairo/Aswan/Luxor, and domestic tickets within Egypt. She was quick to respond through WhatsApp and very easy to communicate with. Upon arrival, every driver and tour guide at each location was professional and friendly. Our guides Adam, Ali, and Manny were all extremely knowledgeable and explained the rich history of Egypt (each with their different but awesome styles/personalities). We were in awe of the massive and unfathomably old structures that have survived through time. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with this company if you are interested in the amazing history that Egypt has to offer.

Dendera and Abydos were absolutely breathtaking and amazing, I would definitely recommend anyone going to Egypt to see them. The tour guide and drivers were nice, and the tour guide was knowledgeable and spoke good English.

However... apparently they hadn't done the tour to Abydos for over 8 years and took us down a desert road they weren't meant to take us down, to avoid Luxor traffic. This didn't feel very safe as we were told to shut the curtains when going through a police checkpoint, to hide that they had tourists in the back of the van.
We went on another tour with a different company after this tour and they advised that this was illegal and Marsa Alam tours really shouldn't have done this.

The lunch wasn't comparable to other traditional Egyptian lunches we have had on other tours either. As a vegetarian I was given some wet feta cheese in a pitta and the cafeteria we went to didn't look very hygienic or pleasant (more like a dodgy truck stop).

I wish I could say more nice things about the trip as the sites themselves were outstanding and worth the not so great trip itself. If I were to go again, I would book through a different tour company.

Edited after correspondence with Marsa Alam tours:

They did provide us with a breakfast box as our hotel didn't provide to us. This was very generous.

Through WhatsApp they were easy to contact and let us know times of the trip and driver (despite actually turning up half an hour later than stated).

There were positives of the trip, and we had a good time overall but the negatives outweighed the positives. I have been asked to reconsider my review, but this is my final opinion.

Dear Jennifer and Alex Thanks for your review about your trip o Dendera and Abydos from Hurghada 1-I would like to confirm that the road we have used ( The western road ) From Qena to Sohag( Dendera to Abyods road ) was open to tourists when you did the Trip with Marsa Alam tours and still open to tourists( Now) Our Guide hammy should not tell you to shut the Curtains, I understand that this can give the unsafe feeling Whoever, The police of tourism was accompanying us during the trip and after visiting the temples of Abydos and show us the desert road, So It was not illegal as other competitor companies claimed. 2- About the lunch, It is very difficult to find a good restaurant in Qena or Abydos as both cities are the non-tourist city The only option to our guide was in the tourist Cafeteria between Qena and Safaga. After consulting us, we have advised our guide to offer the Lunch in the tourist Cafeteria in Km 85. This Cafeteria where you got your lunch is a tourist cafeteria, where tourists stop every day to take a break and Light meals in their way to Luxor, or Dendera, In Abydos, there was little cafeteria to the right to the temples, but it closed as no much tourists come now. I hope now you get the correct information about the road from us now not information from other competitors( tour companies) they will never offer a better for this trip than we have offered We have offered these services to get a good trip 1-We have offered breakfast in the morning after your hotel in Hurghada has refused to arrange a breakfast box. 2-We have arranged A/c van( More comfortable than Car) 3- We have arranged an Excellent speaking tour guide from Hurghada with you with Excellent driver 4-We make all the tourist permission to secure your trip and make it very smooth 5-we are on time in replying all E-mail and booking and whats App message 6- We give all the information about our drivers, Tour guide one day before the trip 7- We have offered full payment online before the trip 8-We Provided drinks during the trip 9- Our Trip the best Price you can find for a private trip from Hurghada Your Kind Review, Helped us to understand your feeling about the road. we are lucky that this has nothing with services Provided( Excellent tour Guide and Excellent transportations)
