- Y5652IEstevej0 contributionsGreat way to see LuxorI had been to Luxor several times before and each time been amazed and captivated by the history. Having a week in Hurghada made me think that it would be great to go back and see Luxor again. I did not really want the 4.00-5.00 hotel pick up of a regular excursion, so I decided to book a private tour. Driver picked me up on time at 7.00 and I was surprised that he was Luxor based so had left home at 02.00! He was very friendly and offered me drinks. The car could do with a bit of an upgrade but it was ok. Arrived in Luxor for 11.00 and met up with the guide. His English was good and we got straight into Valley of the Kings and he recommended the best 3 tombs to see that were included on the ticket. Then to Hatshepsut Temple a short ride away and again quick entry and enough time to look around. Then over the new bridge to Karnak Temple - really shortening the travel time between the 2 sides of the Nile. Guide was again very informative. Before I knew it, it was 16.00 and time to set off back with a back up driver. The first one still came all the way back though - but it is good he was not driving all the way 4 times in one day! Could really do without the obligatory stop at the alabaster show room and workshop, and i would have preferred the extra 30 minutes for example to see the Colossi of Memnon. But all up a highly recommended tour. Long day and tiring, but well worth it.Written January 3, 2024
- Richard D0 contributionsSuper and trouble free tour of CairoBest thing about this was our very knowledgeable and courteous tour guide, Sam. He was very knowledgeable and knew everything about the sites we visited and Cairo. We are so glad we had a private tour rather than trying to find our own way around, which would have been very difficult and stressful. As the sites are very widely dispersed on the roads in the city are horrendous. There was no queuing or anything, so there was plenty of time. There were a few niggles which I'll mention. The hotel, the Ramses Hilton, was certainly 5 star in the lobby, but the 2 rooms we tried were very tired indeed, and more like 3 or 4 star quality, though very spacious and with great views of the nile. The Saqqara restaurant we went to for lunch wasn't the best: toilets were dirty, food wasn't great, and the owner pressured for tips, which I didn't appreciate. The car we had was ok, but the frequent high bumps in the road meant that the floor of the car frequently scraped on the tarmac, which you could feel with your feet, so perhaps an SUV would have been better. Finally, pick was scheduled for 6am but changed to 4am, which seemed unnecessarily early, meaning we were more tired than we might otherwise have been. Having said all that, these were fairly minor nighles, and it did not take away from what was an all round fantastic 2 days with an excellent guide.Written August 3, 2023
- LMM9790 contributionsVery Disappointed 😔The confirmation that I received on paying for this tour said “Private Tour” which we found out it was not, as we were told a different pick up place to the other 14 people apparently on the same tour ???? After saying that, after some insistence on my part, Viator did arrange a refund. If you don’t want a private tour and want to pay a lot of money to share your day trip, this is the one for you.Written April 30, 2023
- IoanaBella0 contributionsSinbad submarineThis is a “mandatory to do trip”😀 We booked the trip also thtough MTS travel agency. The price is 53 eur/adult and 35 eur/child and included: transfer from the hotel to marina bay and transfer by boat to the submarine. We stayed under the water 45 minutes and we dived 25 m under the water. The view is amazing, lot of fish and of course we had a diver who fed the fish. For me is a unic experience, probably was the first and the last time when I dived 25 m under water in a submarine. It’ s safe and the pressure is normal and we felt very comfortable. Do this, it’s almost magic.Written February 23, 2023

- latricevf0 contributionsAbsolutely Amazing!!!This Tour has been all that My Dad and I expected and more!! From our pick up at the Hotel to our checkin at the airport, the flight all went smoothly. When we arrived in Cairo "Sam" our Absolutely Amazingly Knowledgeable Guide called my name out as soon as we stepped out of the airport. I asked him how he knew it was me and he said that he looked me up on Instagram!! I thought how wonderfully clever that was! The Tour has been so fantastic because we didn't have to think about anything as everything was already laid out for us. Sam is a walking information booth and also a Fabulous photographer! Our 5 star Hotel was wonderful (Fantastic Breakfast). I will most certainly use Reflections Tour Company upon my return and will share this information with all of my friends!! Sam deserves 100 Stars!!! He is The Best!!Written July 6, 2022

The day trip by air to Cairo from Hurghada was overall a great experience. The flight time is very early so expect a bleary-eyed 3am pick up for the 5am flight. Once in Cairo, we met Mohamed our guide for the day and the tour began. I was delighted as I had read all the other fabulous reviews of this gentleman's tour. The itinerary was not as detailed in the advertised plan but rather more thoughtfully curated so that we avoided busy bazaar times and the crowds.
The pyramids were simply stunning but beware that there is an additional charge if you would like to enter the pyramids and it is a charge per pyramid at 400 and 100 LE respectively (per person). You also have to pay for the loo at the pyramid site so just a heads up to have change handy and to be brave. A note on entering the pyramid - if you are at all claustrophobic maybe research this yourself before you trot in like we did at 6 4" and 5 10"....
Mohamed was also able to gain access for us to a side tomb with some beautiful detailing and I think, had Mohamed not been there, we would have been unaware of this. He was very knowledgeable about the site and answered any questions we had. We were then offered a camel ride around the pyramids which we politely declined (camel had a lucky escape).
The next two stops were less engaging; a perfume shop and a papyrus museum (a shop). These were not of interest to us as we had no plans to purchase any perfume or papyrus on this tour of the pyramids. We were caught up in uncomfortable British pleasantries before we had to politely state we were not interested in buying anything and you can imagine how well-received that was.
Lunch was unconventional but still tasty; we ended up getting a shawarma takeaway, from a renowned local establishment, that we ate in the car. We thought this was actually better than a longer break in a restaurant setting so we had no complaints. The last stop was the Egyptian Museum which was really interesting and had so many more exhibits than we had capacity to appreciate and process. Many pieces are inestimably precious including the glorious death mask of Tutankhamun from the Valley of the Kings.
After a very difficult time tourism is starting again in Egypt, albeit slowly, and it is naturally good advertising to get positive reviews for tours. Mohamed impressed upon us how important this was for him and in spite of never having reviewed any tour ever, we made an exception for this one. Great tour, good guide.

The best tour we have ever taken,
The driver to airport was on time, airplane tickets were ready at the airport, short flight, our tour guide Amir and driver where ready at Cairo airport for us.
Special thanks to Amir he was an amazing tour guide best one we have ever had so knowledgeable he explained everything to us from Egyptian history to current government and country affairs, new up and coming museums and the history of all the churches we visited.
He managed to squeeze as much into our day as possible helped by our brilliant driver. A memorable experience and well worth the money
Amir was very patient, kind and smart a credit to his agency they should be very proud of him and his knowledge.
He told us a lot and showed us everything we had asked to see and more,
The food was very good.
And at the end of the day the driver made us feel safe and secure in the Cairo traffic back to the airport (sorry I forgot his name)
From start to finish a well-planned out trip 10/10

Absolutely amazing trip with Bilal and his driver. Memories for life. The very very best recommendations from my girlfriend and I.
The pyramids and the sphinx alone are reason enough to make this trip. And when you add the Egyptian museum, the hanging church - and of course Cairo it self - the day becomes complete
Everything went smooth from the booking, to the pickup at the hotel, the flight from Hurghada to Cairo and back again to our hotel. Bilal was awaiting us in the airport in Cairo and quickly found us when exiting the terminal.
Our driver made us feel safe and secure in the Cairo traffic and Bilal’s knowledge about Egyptian history is very impressive. It was really nice with a friendly guide who knows everything about the sites you visit.
Do not think twice about booking - you will have an amazing day
Again, our very best recommendations, thank you for a perfect day in Cairo Bilal, thank you for giving us these memories and learnings about the fantastic Egyptian history
All the best

Hi I am Rengan,
Hi I am Rengan,
I was on a holiday from Uk to Hurgada In Egypt for a week between 17th to 24th December 2021. This was my first visit to Egypt and I was planning to visit Cairo and luxor. I travelled with my daughter and about arranging the trip on short notice. The Cairo trip was decided on Saturday and I booked the trip with Egyptexcursion on the website for Monday which is short notice. Mohamed contacted me on Sunday and flight ticket was booked for Monday as planned. I was picked up by tour Guide Amy(Amen) and our private tour started. The guides gave a good summary of the planned visit and other alternatives like Sakara step pyramids which I took. It was a Good suggestion. The driver was good and Amen was excellent. The lunch was part of the package. After lunch we visited Cairo museum. Amen explained about the artefacts in the museum which very interesting and knowledgeable. I also learnt about perfumes and papyrus making. The private guided tour was well organised on short notice and everyone in the team was very helpful. I carry fond memories of my trip to Cairo and thank the entire team who made it memorable. I will definitely use the services again when I visit Egypt again. All the best.

I booked this tour at very short notice and the coordinator still managed to organize an early flight to Cairo and a German-speaking guide for me. The meeting at the airport went smoothly and I was picked up at the exit of the arrivals hall.
The guide was an archaeologist and spoke easy-to-understand German. He was very knowledgeable and gave me very interesting lectures about archaeology and Egyptian culture. He was very friendly and took some nice photos with me in the foreground.
The driver drove us calmly and quietly through the chaotic traffic conditions in Cairo and picked us up again at the exit after each visit.
All in all, a very successful and worthwhile tour that also includes Old Cairo.

Very well organized, even our pick up out of their pick up zone ( Kalawy). Before our trip I stressed a lot because of this “ pick up” problem but everything turned out excellent. Nice trip, long day but worth it! Everything well organized, nice guide who took really care of us. Especially with money issues with camel- drivers and sellers
Worth the trip and certainly also the organization!

Pick up was prompt even though it was 430am. We were met at Cairo by Sam our guide who was accompanied by his excellent driver. Sam proved to make the whole day thoroughly informative and enjoyable. His expertise and knowledge was inexhaustible from the museum to the making of papyrus to the pyramids. We would highly recommend Sam for any tour.
