Really great tour with Ester. She is very knowledgeable and is happy to move at any pace. We had a great time and would highly recommend.

“Come with Me” said Zahi Hawass. He never showed up and I wish we hadn’t either. Paid too much, got too little. Too many buses and too much sitting on planes and at numerous other places waiting for something to happen. Too many Bag lunches and breakfasts. Unexpected Itinerary changes and poor planning. Crowds of tourists and beggars everywhere. The Nile river cruise was a unique experience but Egypt turned out to be a wasteland of wonders, a Disneyland of the decrepit. Except for the Pyramids and an all to brief visit to the Sphinx, most of the tour and the country were a great disappointment.

I Just finished this fabulous tour with my family and want to share some of my experiences here. Since my booking of this tour, I have been keeping in contact with kareem through WhatsApp, who replied my message very quickly. and they are very flexible to add these to the itinerary with acceptable additional costs.

We enjoyed a great tour that we will never forget. The staff was in good communication with us. The representative, Bassam, was wonderful. They gave a souvenir through him. The boat was wonderful and the staff was friendly with us. I suggested with Best of Egypt low prices and experience

Absolute disaster. I booked this trip months ago. When I finally got to Egypt and checked in, people at the agency kept passing me around. Tour agency went silent after being in communication with me months prior. Finally, someone replied saying “a group text wold be sent the NIGHT BEFORE departure with l details.” I checked in again when I heard nothing at 8PM we were to depart. I was given yet another name and the person only replied “hello”- nothing else!! I then got an email they CANCELED THE TOUR!!!!! This left me stuck in Luxor with no way to Aswan. I had to cancel flights and rebook my hotel to stay an extra day in Luxor. I would not recommend this agency, they are poor horrible communicators and don’t tell you anything, then cancel last minute. What a horrible reputation to have in a high tourist destination. Other agencies will eventually cripple this one. What a shame.

February 2023 When considering value for money, this was a fantastic trip, which included; return flights from Cairo to Luxor, four nights accommodation on the boat with food, guides for the sites and the hot air balloon for a little over £500 per person. I am amazed how they managed that and cannot fault the trip when considering value for money. The guides were also extremely knowledgeable and I would particularly mention Nam Bassam and Salema for all their assistance. They both looked after us above and beyond what we expected and nothing was too much trouble. They were both excellent. I would give the trip 4.5 out of 5 overall, but the star rating only allows either 4 or 5. The reason, I have not given 5 out of 5 was due to a change of itinerary, which did not really work as well as the original itinerary. Originally, we were booked to fly to Luxor then sail to Aswan. Day one was going to be a trip to the Valley of the Kings. When we arrived in Luxor we were informed that we would be driving to Aswan to then sailing back to Luxor. The drive was about 4 1/2 hours. Taking the positive from this, we did get to see a lot more on the countryside, including towns and villages which was interesting but it did add a lot more to the travelling and no sightseeing of the ancient sites for the first day. In relation to the boat, we were on the bottom level and there was a smell of diesel. I have since seen other people comment about this issue. There is nothing Sphinx of Egypt Tours could really do about that as I suspect the cabins on the bottom level are cheaper. However, if you can I would suggest you ask for a higher deck if at all possible. It would also be worth paying a little extra. The only other suggestion I would make is to provide an optional extra to fly to Abu Simbel from Aswan, which I know some people do. The reason I would suggest this, is that you have to be up at 03:30 am, for a 04:30 mini bus departure from Aswan, which then entails a 3 1/2 drive each way. If you flew, it is 45 minutes by plane and you would also get a little longer in bed. For the price Sphinx of Egypt Tours, I would not expect the flight to be included but it would be something I would now ask them if they could assist with for an extra fee. Overall, very positive experience with Sphinx of Egypt Tours, would use them again, with great guides, especially Nam Bassam and Salema. As per the above, would simply see if you could pay for extras, especially: - Upper deck on the boat - Flight to Abu Simbel, instead of drive Highly recommended trip and tour company.

Absolutely fantastic trip! Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple.I was extremely knowledgeable and protective. Hot air balloons was fabulous and kept us all safe My guide was amazing. He provided so much information and history about all of the sites.. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Egypt.

Absolutely fantastic trip! Our guide, Abanob, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He took every opportunity to explain and show us things we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.

We did the valley of the kings and our guide was so knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. We had a great driver and nice, clean car. Would 100% recommend!

It was an amazing trip It was a more than wonderful trip, everything went as planned, the flight was calm, the representative was on time, the sights were beautiful, more wonderful than I imagined, the boat was beautiful, the staff was very nice, and the balloon flight was the most beautiful part of the trip. Overall, the trip was more than satisfactory for me. I highly recommend you to go on a trip with this company

the operator is awful , no schedules and guides information update ,no guide accompny with curise ,all the guides are random arranged and no quilty garantee excpet guide Laila in Luxor is professional , when problem happened, no proactive solutions provided, even do not pick up the phone when you called them to get soluton , and no repution ,all the promise are no secured,,to be honest this was very bad valued tour, and the price was even hihger than most of agencies ,i did not recommend this agency at all

We booked the one night cruise from Aswan to Luxor in August and received confirmation from the tour operator. In late October, only a few weeks before our trip, we were informed that the boat was not sailing on our selected dates and that we could either change to a different date or cancel our booking. At that point we already had flights, lodging, and activities booked for the rest of our trip and it was not possible to change the dates of our boat trip. We had to scramble at the last minute to find alternate transportation to Luxor so our entire itinerary wasn't broken. Additionally, the Nile cruise was one of the activities we were most looking forward to and we were devastated to miss out on this experience. Please be aware that the dates listed on the website do not reflect their actual availability. As of this posting our original dates are still listed as available, which is inaccurate. We strongly recommend booking with a more reliable company.

I really like this tour as it's giving me the chance to see more a d more so when I am back to Egypt for sure I will make it again.
