Day trip to Coloured Canyon including Snorkelling, ATV and Camel ride
I went with this company on a day trip to coloured canyon which included snorkelling, camel ride and ATV "desert" safari. 1. We picked the later option of an 8:30 pick up. The night before we were messaged to say 7:20. Very difficult to acheive that. 2. The "guide" sami said no more than 5 words to us until we approached the checkpoint, even then only when pressured to explain what was happening. 3. Sami the "guide" might as well have been called an escort. In the whole time we were with him he gave me one piece of useful information. In the main he was completely disinterested spending most of the time on his phone and smoking every time he was out of the minibus. 4. The venues we stopped at for breaks were disgusting, the toilets unusable. 5. The ATV's were in a terrible condition. In one case the Wheels on the front axle were different sizes. Almost every tyre was bald, in some cases the thread was showing. The only training there was is the brake and there is the accelerator. The leaders rode the ATV's like cowboys. I did not take up the opportunity to risk my life. While we were there one of the riders was taken to hospital in an ambulance. The Desert was a strip of land behind the sea shore. 6. We were accompanied by a photographer the whole day. Every activity was interupted by do this do that. Intrusive unwelcome and unnecessary. 7.One of the tyres on the minbus was almost bald, certainly illagal in Italy and the UK. Several passengers pointed this out, the driver laughed. 8. The driver at several points doubled the speed limit. Most of the time he was exceeding the limit, despite bald tyres. Much of the time he was taking calls on his phone, steering and changing gear with one arm. What could the company do to improve? Maintain vehicles, install hands free kit in the vehicle, not ideal but the best option. Train the guides. Select better venues to stop. Correct the misinformation on the web site. What could the Governemt do? Have a licencing body to ensure comapnies like this cannot trade For your safety, avoid this company.

        I had a great time
Went 2 days on a quad bike and 3 days by minibus into the desert. It was brilliant! Love this part of Egypt. Kite surf conditions are good, once there was wind. Never expected so many free divers oer here as well! I will be back to do some more adventures

        Best historical tourguide in sinai
I went to Serabit el Khadim. It was beyond my expectations. I came to this trip because I watched the Youtube channel Dahab Live, about the exploration of this site. As I am n archeologist, this place got my attention. I booked the owner Joseph as my private guide and we spend 5 nights in the Sinai Desert, He showed me several places of interest and has a phenomonal knowledge of these unknown historical places.

The Sinai Desert is very interesting and stunning!
Absolutely loved it! it was very important to us that we felt safe. because we are 2 girls traveling together. There are a lot of travel agencies in Dahab but they were very unprofessional and gave us the creeps. Joseph from King Safari was very professional and we asked him to be our private guide. I am glad we paid a little bit extra for this because we absolutely enjoyed it. The Sinai Desert is amazing. I didn't know it had so many historical sites. Joseph was very knowledgeable. The driver Abu Wael made Bedouin tea for us. We couldn't converse with him as his English is limited but he is such a lovely character!

Visit to the Monastery with private tour
We wanted to visit the Monastery but not climb up to the mountains, so we booked a private tour. Because there were 8 of us, it was only a fraction more expensive than the normal tour. Also, we went in to see the library. You have to pay an extra ticket but it was absolutely worth it!! Did anybody else know that some art and books that were saved from the fire in Alex are stored here? Amaaazing! one of the well-preserved secrets of history. Plus, my sis in law is a Christian, she can tick this one of the box.. next stop, Lourdes!!

        I love Sinai Desert
I went to do the normal St Catherine trip already, Then I met Joseph and he suggested doing a 2 day trip to Sunset in the Moses Mountain, Sunrise on Gebl Katrin, which with 2642 meters is the highest mountain in Egypt. It was fantastic! I am so in love with the Desert now. I can recommend this trip for all hikers! Thank you Joseph, and thanks for recommending Dahab Live and the nice book about the Sinai Desert. Looking forward to seeing you again for my next trip!

        Beautiful Sunrise
I went on the first of January to see the sunrise and it was beautiful! It was very busy but luckily we had a very nice local guide and a good group. It was also colder than i expected but on the top of the mountain, you can rent a blanket to keep warm.

        Private customized tour
I choose to book a Private trip for my Finance and me, and it was very well organized. We went with a private car and had our own guide. We still had to leave at 8, as the Monastery closes at 11.30 am. I m very grateful that Joseph offered us a private trip so we could do everything at our own pace. My Fiance is a nature freak so he took some time photographing the beautiful plants and insects in and around. As an extra we booked the Arada Canyon. for the Valley of Inscriptions. It is very strange that the Egyptian Government doesn't highlight these historical sights more, according to my research no other Travel agency visits these places. Our guide Josep and his wife Annette joined us and were very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to have them accompany us!

        Interesting
I am not religious at all, but my mum really wanted to do this trip. So I used it to try to make some nice pictures with my new camera. It was actually more interesting than I thought! The Monastery is sat on a mountain hill and it's easy to imagine how life would have been in the 6th Century when it was built. Unfortunately there was no time for me to climb to the top of the mountain, but I think this was really good value for money/

dress warm for the top. Gloves are key. There are cafes along the way up the mountain so you can stop and get a coffee. Bring small bills.

        Private desert tour/hikeNov 17, 2018--EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE!
TRIP #1By email with Joseph Nazir & Annet, set up a private 4WD tour with Bedouin guides to St. Catherine's Monastery, then 4WD trip in desert with hike, cooked lunch on desert. Cost was $400 US for 2 people all day, but worth it. We were picked up about 8, driven to St. Catherine's for 1 1/2 hrs, then off road in the desert & mountains. Stopped in beautiful place, one guide took us on a hike (we are experienced hikers, but were only promised a short hike)--But our guide was willing, we hiked for 3 hours, to the top of a ridge with beautiful views north and south. When we returned, the other guide had prepared a meal, hummus, pita bread, nice salad, 1/4 of a chicken for each of us roasted over a fire he had built. Great food, great experience with Bedouin guides talking about their lifestyle & culture (parents/grandparents nomadic life in this area, now most live in towns, etc.)

My girlfriend wanted to see the Sunrise and visit the St Catherine Monastery. They came pick us up at the hotel ( with 10 minutes delay) but the excursion was well worth it.
The climb to the top of the mountain was a bit hard for my girlfriend but luckily we were not rushed by the group. Great atmosphere, amazing sunrise. Very good trip for photographers. Would recommend it to my friends!

It was very cold up the mountain so if you go by winter you should bring all your clothes and a good backpack because you will get warm in the sun. |But the night was freezing.

We were with a very good group and had a nice guide so we all huddled together on the top and rented some mattresses and blankets. was actually kindof nice.
] When the sun came up over the mountains it was all just amazing! I am so glad I went for this trip I will never forget it.

This trip is very well organized and a must-do for all the visitors of Dahab!

The Monastery is the oldest monastery in the world and is beautifully built against the mountain. I really loved dwelling in the garden, and hearing all the stories that are told about this holy place.

The climb tot the top of the mountain in the middle of the night was actually easier than I thought, but it was freezing on the top. Thank God there was a local renting out blankets! what a brilliant business idea!

Sunrise was supercool. We had an amazing group.

We chose to do the sunrise walk up Mt Sinai. It was a tough walk but absolutely incredible. Sunrise on the top of Mt Sinai was breathtaking. We visited St Catherine's monastery once we were back down the mountain. It was very beautiful. This is a definite must if visiting this area. Tiring but well worth it.

IT IS A MUST! It was an incroyable experience to climb the mountain at night. It was not difficult, but on the other end, it was not easy either. The views from the top were the rewards. Incredible views and experience. On the negative side, the transportation(~2.5 hours each way) to and from the hotel was not to par. We had 10 people crammed in a mini van.

Very nice tour from Dahab to Sinai mountain and st Catherine monastery. The guide only shows the way to the peak of the mountain but that’s it. Not a single word about the place, story behind it, not even in monastery itself. But very nice guy tho
