About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Nicole B0 contributionsTour Isabela Island! They have everything arranged for you so you do not have to think at all! We were met by the first guide on Santa Cruz at the shop and he walked us to the pier and even made sure we made it from the water taxi to the proper boat. If we tried to do it on our own it looked very confusing which boat you are suppose to take for which island and not that many people speak English to help. Once we arrived on the island we were met with our tour guide who explained the whole day and stayed with us from each activity to the next. Overall the way the tour was set up was perfect. It is a great way to see Isabela island when you don’t have enough time to move from island to island like us. Would 10/10 recommend the day trip!Written September 29, 2024
- P9548KSlaurat0 contributionsTHIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!!I was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service provided from the outset. The tour was a truly unforgettable experience, comprising swimming with sharks, turtles, fish, and sea lions, as well as encountering Galapagos penguins. The lunch was exquisite, and the expertise of Jonathan and guide Jimmy made my visit to Isabela truly memorable. I extend my gratitude to Omar for his invaluable recommendations, which greatly enhanced my tour experience. I would highly recommend this tour operator and would certainly choose them again.Written September 28, 2024
- M W0 contributionsShort Family trip to Santa Cruz and San CristobalGuiding Galapagos organised for our group - two families - entire private program during our short 4 nights island-based trip to Galapagos. They were very flexible as we preferred to book hotels on our own. GG organised all Excursions, local transportation, inter island ferry, Guides, boat Expeditions and snorkeling equipment. All our guides were just great and everything was perfelctly organised. GG picked us up at Baltra airport at arrival to Galapagos and took care of us until departure from San Cristobal airport. We had a coordinator at each island making sure that the progran goes smoothly. We took various activities, including highland tour, Santa Fe Island and Hidden Beach and Tortuga Beach at Santa Cruz Island, as well as Kicker Rock tour at San Cristobal. We also had a great walk along San Cristobal cliffs with blue footed boobies spotting and visit to the interpretation centre. All our tours were great and each different. I think that you need to take several tours on each island to understand a bit how special Galapagos Islands are. This was probably the best adventure that I ever had! Animals were increadibly close to us, interacting with us without any fear. I think that I was in paradise for a few days... You will not believe this if you dont go to Galapagos, and if you decide to go, I strongly recommend doing this with Guiding Galapagos. Great tours, knowable guides, good communication before, during and after the stay. We even received video clips from our underwater expeditions.Written September 13, 2024
- Tayler C0 contributionsBOOK THIS! BOOK THIS!I wish I could give this tour 100 stars! Seriously just the best. We had limited time in the Galapagos and wanted to make the most of seeing another island and this was PERFECT. They made sure we got on the ferry on time. They met us at the port when we arrived. Took us directly to our tour. Had a GREAT time snorkeling: saw galapagos penguins, swam with a seal, saw sharks, saw a sea turtle it was AMAZING! They took us to the most beautiful beach front restaurant and served us a full plate of chicken, rice, salad, beans, and plantains. They took us to where the flamingos hang out and to the turtle nursery. They made sure we got back on the ferry on time and someone met us at the dock to collect our gear once we arrive back in Santa Cruz. Seriously BOOK THIS!!!! Such a great time, and we are so grateful!!Written September 8, 2024
- X2713PRkylek0 contributionsHighlight of the Galapagos! If I could give this 10 stars, I would! Omar, Daniel, Jonathan and Jimmy did an outstanding job setting this tour up and were very helpful throughout the tour. When I first started planning a trip to the Galapagos, I had a mission to see Galapagos Turtles, sharks, sea lions, sea turtles, blue foot boobies, marine iguanas, Galapagos penguins, rays. You name it, I wanted to see it. During this tour, I was able to see every animal I came for. The snorkeling was the highlight of the tour and my trip to the Galapagos. We swam with white tipped sharks, sea turtles, rays, a curious Galapagos penguin and an incredibly playful sea lion. The sea lion in the water was exactly like playing with a puppy dog on land. It was incredible and unforgettable! The tour also consisted of a Galapagos Turtle nursery where you can see the turtles in various stages of their life before being released. We saw flamingos as well. This tour alone makes me want to go back to the Galapagos and I imagine I will sometime soon. Great job to the tour group and thank you again for an unforgettable experience!Written September 5, 2024

He really went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to visit all of the places we wanted to and he was so helpful with any questions we had. Our guide David for the San Cristobal tour helped my husband and I with our first snorkel experience on our trip. He helped make sure we were comfortable and able to see some sea turtles, fish and sea lions during our time in the water. We really enjoyed La Loberia beach! So beautiful!! We also did the day tour to Espanola where we had the most amazing day seeing blue footed boobies, albatrosses, and iguanas. After this exploration, we even enjoyed some snorkeling. The guide and crew were so great! Daniel was also super helpful in booking our ferry tickets to Santa Cruz where he gave us advice on independent activities we could do. Lastly, Daniel helped us book a kayaking tour on Isabella Island at Los Tintoreras where we kayaked with penguins, sting rays, sea lions, and turtles. We had the best trip thanks to Daniel and Guiding Galapagos!! We will definitely be back and will plan with them again!Written August 19, 2024
- loried6030 contributionsAN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!We had the most amazing trip to the Galapagos Islands with this group!!! The guides made sure we saw everything we came to see and more! No where else in the world will you be able to see giant tortoises, penguins, blue footed boobies, red footed boobies, thousands of species of birds, flamingos, iguanas that can swim, massive land iguanas, orca whales, humongous manta rays, the ocean so thick with beautiful fish and sea turtles you can barely swim through them, and every beach littered with baby sea lions…ALL IN THE SAME WEEK!!! And to be able to see how natural selection and evolution are playing out right in front of your eyes… It’s a truly life changing experience that should not be missed. Yazmani and his fantastic crew are amazing educators and will also make sure your days are filled with adventure and excitement. PLEASE do not let the news scare you away from visiting Ecuador and their amazing Galápagos Islands! This islands are just about the safest place I have EVER traveled. The airports were clean and ran better than many I’ve been to in more sophisticated areas of the world. And the people could not be more friendly and kind. Everyone we met tried so hard to speak English and were so patient with my Spanglish. The guides of course, speak fluent English and we’re always helpful with acting as translators when needed. - thomasrE7982OP0 contributionsA Perfect Day!Review This tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guide, Yasmany, was passionate, accommodating, and brilliantly knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. Before the tour we met with Yasmany who asked us a few questions to help ensure the tour was perfectly adapted to our needs. Daniel, who managed this and our subsequent bookings, prepared a bag for my partner and me with top quality gear. In the morning, Yasmany led us on a walk to the beach where he chatted to us and gave us great information about the history of the islands whilst pointing out some local wildlife. We took a stroll round the beach and took some great photos with a sea lion, iguanas, and a heron. We then went snorkelling in an area of the beach away from the tourists. My partner was very anxious about snorkelling as she is not a strong swimmer, but Yasmany supported her the whole way and led us to see the stunning marine life which there is no way we would have seen without him. We saw a range of tropical fish, white tip reef sharks, turtles, and a stingray. Afterwards, we took a quick boat ride back to Puerto Ayora and had a delicious lunch. I really recommend this tour to anyone. It’s great for strong and weak swimmers alike. Unlike the other tours (from all providers) you don’t need to take a long speedboat ride. I also highly recommend Guiding Galapagos. They are so professional and helpful. After this tour we booked two more tours with them, and they helped us organise some other local activities. The equipment is excellent and everyone we interacted with from the company was brilliant. I would like to say a personal thank you to Yasmany, Daniel and the other members of Guiding Galapagos. My partner and I were quite anxious about our visit as the Galapagos is expensive and there’s a lot of choices to make. However, Guiding Galapagos exceeded all expectations and made our trip the experience of a lifetime. This tour in particular was undoubtedly the best day of the whole trip. Thank you Yasmany!Written July 23, 2024
- psygist0 contributionsExcellent tour to Seymour Island arranged by Guiding GalapagosGuiding Galapagos arranged an outstanding tour for us to Seymour Norte Island! This agency helped us plan our itinerary while in the Galapagos and handled all logistics for a worry-free experience each day. From the tour briefings provided in their Puerto Ayora office and outfitting us with high quality snorkeling gear, Stephanie, Daniel and Omar are all top-notch! This agency seems to work with the best tour providers on Santa Cruz as every tour we went on used quality boats, and especially crews and guides. Our day trip to Seymour Island involved a fascinating nature walk on the island where we were able to get up close to view birds and iguanas endemic to the Galapagos. Most amazing was viewing frigate birds and blue-footed boobie mating rituals, nesting birds and even a few recently born. The snorkeling activity was also wonderful led by a super guide. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our tours in the Galapagos, arranged by Guiding Galapagos and highly recommend this agency! Kudos to Stephanie and staff, especially Omar and Daniel!Written June 25, 2024

All of the staff we dealt with were wonderful! Stephanie was instrumental in helping to establish an itinerary that we would enjoy during our six days on Santa Cruz. This tour was the highlight of our visit to the Galapagos. Yasmany is both the most knowledgable and enthusiastic guide and host we meet on our various tours. It is clear he loves his job and is devoted to his clients hapiness.
The activities scheduled were all well thought out in advance and the amount of wildlife and proximity to it he was able to deliver was unrivaled. His crew are wonderful and the boat and equipment provided are of the highest quality and condition.
We hope to return soon and Yasmany and Guiding Galapagos Expeditions will be our first call to schedule all our tours.
Muchas Gracias.

Nice schools of fish, cool young sea lions, some sharks and a large manta Ray 5m away from us, was very cool experience. My friend and my gf felt lazy after 30 min of snorkeling and the captain easily collected them and keep going, they were happy with the service :) The boat was crazy cool, it had a showers and a kitchen which enabled the sailor to cook us lunch:) this never happened on any other single day tour. Yazmarch was our tour guide and did a champion effort dragging 3 people during a snorkeling trip. He also took many videos and pictures under water and along the cruise which looked awesome.
Downside, we did not manage to catch a fish on the return, if we did, they promised they would make sushi of it.

Yazmany was a great guide, stopping to show us all the marine life on the way.
We spent an incredible amount of time in the water and saw sea lions, turtles, 1 shark, dolphins on the way there. It was amazing.
All in all 10/10 experience. Especially after having gone on other tours (that were more expensive, were less guided/informational and spent way less time in the water).

I went to the Pinzón Island Tour in January with Yazmany. I had no idea what Pinzón was but frankly it was much better than the Leon Dormido/Kicker Rock Tour (largely due to weather also as Pinzón will be good in any conditions) and better than the Los Tuneles tour. I managed to see the most diverse wildlife here interestingly enough!
Also - Yazmany was an excellent tour guide: professional, great communicator, friendly and helpful in everyway. I will be recommending Guiding Galapagos to all my friends and family.

This was the highlight of our trip. Spend the money. Spend the money. Spend the money. We noticed other tourist boats next to us but the quality our our boat way way way outshined the other boats. They were packed in there and the boat was not near as nice as ours. This boat has multiple levels with a chef preparing restaurant quality food with desert and snacks. My teenagers were so impressed to be on such a private experience. Our guide was a biologist from the island with a deep desire to make sure you feel safe, informed, and happy. They also took tons of underwater footage and Picts which were given to us free of charge.

Pinzon was our second day tour scheduled after visiting Santa Fe. Like Santa Fe, the water is an amazing clear blue like a swimming pool as well as shallow. If you are able to purchase/bring a Go Pro, I captured clear and amazing videos of turtles, white tip sharks, sea lions, and abundant fish. The amount of fish seen in both Santa Fe and Pinzon was comparable to when I went scuba diving in Bonaire and Belize. We saved up and planned to do four days of boat tours, as many as we could fit in during our week stay in Puerto Ayora and it was so worth it. You won’t really see Galapagos and all the animals if you aren’t out on the water and in the water. Guiding Galapagos arranges a day where you’re in a small group, have a tour guide engaged in all activities, staff on the boat ensuring everyone is okay the entire day while keeping the boat clean and organized, serving better than expected lunch and beverages, use of new snorkeling equipment, and have you on a boat that has a toilet! We’re very fortunate to have connected to Guiding Galapagos because the service they provide is above and beyond. I easily experience motion sickness and had no problems at all wearing a scopolamine patch. Others visitors I encountered at the hotel or out to eat mentioned to me being hesitant about an hour or so boat ride back and forth to Pinzon (and Santa Fe). I’d say don’t be because the ride to visit the islands and all you’ll see is totally worth it!

You need to use Guiding Galapagos.com !! The owners have the best associates that meet you at every port, treat you like royalty as they transfer you from one boat to the next etc.! WE just got home and all of the day trips for snorkeling , animal watching.were sold out to the tourists who tried to cherry pick their trips and find cheap hotels etc.!! NOT with Stefanie and Yazmany!!!
They have the inside connections that will get you in the best hotels and the best excursions. Stephanie even walked us to the best restaurants, incredible fish entrees.
For example: they booked us with a great guide to Kicker Rock, off of San Cristobal.
Our scuba divers ( 5) saw a whole school of hammerhead sharks and the snorkelers( 5) hit home runs all day long with golden rays, seals that would swim with you & all around you . This is the best snorkeling and diving in the world. Go with the best for your trip of a lifetime!!

Snorkeling was amazing. Got to swim with sea lions and plenty of unique fish. The guide was very great and the fish lunch was fresh.
The only downfall is that the day we went out the waves were rough so we didn’t get to stop at the first stop completely and it took 2.5 hours to get the Pinzon and people were still sick and puking overboard the whole way there. It also took 2hr 45min on the way home and still a miserable boat ride the entire way.
Overall it was a nice experience but you could only spend an hour snorkeling and 5 hours on the boat so be prepared.
Lastly, make sure your fins are extra tight because mine fit perfect but got in the water and lost one and they charged me for 2 fins lost instead of one at $60. Overall, very expensive for one hour of snorkeling but a great experience if you don’t mind paying $$$ and sitting on a boat all day.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review, we are glad to hear that you got an amazing snorkel experience and that the guide and lunch on board were according to our high standards - we carefullly chose the boats we work with for each destination - in addition to our own boat - to be able to guarantee the best possible service and experience to our customers.
The sea in fact can get a bit rough during the cold season, making the navigation time a lot longer than it is the case in calm waters where the navigation doesn't take longer than max. 70 - 90 minutes and - as we always mention during the briefing that we give on the evening before the tour when doing the equipment fitting - unfortunately on very choppy days when the waves get too high close to the shore, it is simply too dangerous too enter to the bay La Fe - of course safety always comes first and apart from that every boat has to comply with the rules set by the National Park and Marine Navy Control.
In any case, the tour still won't be curt short on such days as another snorkel activity then will take place at a different place.
Regarding the fins - we do the equipment fitting the evening before the tour to make sure everyone gets the best possible snorkel experience with perfectly fitting high quality snorkel equipment - we import the best brands from the United States and Europe as we cannot get them in Galapagos, not even on Ecuador's mainland and Amazon.com or other ways of shipping / online shopping doesn't work for Galapagos unfortunately. On the snorkel gear rent form that everyone has to sign for the complete bag we provide - with a long wetsuit, dry snorkel, scuba dive mask and a pair of fins - it says $60 for the pair as it is impossible to buy a single fin - they get only sold in pairs and the cheapest fins you can get on Galapagos - not the brand we work with and that you got - in Galapagos costs $75 - so I think we did charge a very fair price and actually less than it cost us to replace that fin.
We know that if not coming from Galapagos where everything costs 2-4 times more than in other parts of the world, this might be difficult to understand - but the fact that we live so far from the mainland and have to import everything by the few cargo ships that operate, make a lot of things that are so easy to solve in other parts of the world quite a challenge - in turn, we are very fortunate to enjoy such a unique natural paradise every day! :-)

We had a great experience with Guiding Galapagos Expeditions! Yazmany knows his stuff, and the staff were great. Stephanie, who ran the office even came down to the dock to make sure we were in the right line for the ferry we were taking off the island (we bought tickets in the GGE office). And, after I managed to lose the pictures from my trip, Stephanie and Yazmany found their pictures from our tour and sent them to me. I highly recommend touring with Guiding Galapagos Expeditions.

I took many tours, this was the best tour on the Galapagos by far. I took a day tour on Yacht Steffi to Pinzon island and had the most memorable experience. I was comfortable onboard and the boat had an awesome second floor Bridge for relaxation. The captain navigated the boat into most exotic locations. We spent less time traveling and more time snorkeling, walking and hiking. I got to snorkel with sharks, sea lions, turtles and many other animals. The naturalist Gabriel was the best guide who showed the best places and explained the islands. The chef cooked a delicious meal. This was the best experience I’ve had on the galagos. Guiding Galapagos is the best tour company.

Hello - We will be staying in Santa Cruz September 18-19 and are interested in booking a tour. I see your policy is not refundable so we don't want to book ahead until we are certain our Covid tests come back negative, which means we wont know till next week. What kind of availability do you currently have for those dates?
Thank you
