About the operator
- sergeb92000WB Diving where are the safety measures?A boat with 14 people operating on one out of 2 engines in big seas, resulting in a shorter visit , promised of a second boat that never came a too long snorkeling session and arrival time back at 18.30 instead of 15.00. No safety briefing, life jackets used as pillows for comfort. Big seas making return trip very unsafe. This was with WB DIVING or Wreck Bay Diving in SSN Cristobal. Shame as visit could have been exceptional
- Z7971LXchrisg00Be carefulThe tour operator cancelled it two days before By all accounts we didn’t miss much we hadn’t already seen though
- Ryan G00Great trip to Seymour with kidsWe had a great time hiking around Seymour Island and saw quite a few animals up close. Our guide gave us tips to take a great picture. We also loved snorkeling at the beach and saw a sea turtle on the beach then snorkeled with it close by. The beach was beautiful. The crew on the boat takes great care of you and the snacks and lunch were delicious
- michellebsf00Beautiful and well organised tour+ The whole tour was very well organised + The excursions were adventurous and the guides told a lot the nature and animals. We especially liked las Tintoreras and las Grietas. + The selected hotels were clean and central. - The organiser spoke almost any English and never asked us how our tours or transport was when we met her again. - Island hopping is a bit of an exaggeration as you only visit Santa Cruz and Isabela. The TripAdvisor description says La Loberia. We thought it was in St. Christobal, but it is La Loberia on Santa Cruz.
- Milena D00WARNING - Do not use this agencyWARNING!!! Do not use this agency. We booked this trip well in advance and based on the dates that they had available just to have it cancelled the day before. This messed up our entire plans. They should not offer day trips that are not confirmed. We spent two days on an island unnecessarily.
- marcosz84000👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Hi Travellers! This is Joel. I am finally at home! I am from New York and I spent last week in the Galápagos Islands for the holidays and I am so happy to start this year after this incredible trip. Ecuador is amazing, the nature, community, the landscapes are out of mind! I was there with my family and we enjoyed so many activities with a smart, funny and friendly tour guide! I recommend BM Tours to everyone who wants to enjoy this beautiful country. They provided to me all the information about what I should bring and do. Thank you BM TOURS
- ayoop4900AmazingThank you BM Tours for being so special with us! I was in the Galapagos on november 15th. We are very happy with all the tour. Amazing views and a great staff who always were attending our requests. My friends and I are very happy to had explored the Galapagos Islands and see the diversity of fauna and flora you have! Ecuador is a very lucky country!
- 585angiei00Thanks BM Tours it was great!!Hi, this is Angie from Hong Kong. I was in The Galápagos with my boyfriend last month and I want to let you know it was a great experience. Thank you BM Tours for always given me the support I requested for. The guide was awesome and friendly. Thanks for made this experience one of the best I ever had.
- 818shaynat00Scam - TripAdvisor should remove this tour companyThis company should not be listed by TripAdvisor. It’s a scam. “4 days” is actually not quite 2.5 days as they count the airport and back as tour dates. You do not need a tour to pick you up from the airport and would save at least $500 if you did this yourself. The hotel they booked was not great quality, you could either save considerably by booking your own hotel or spend the same money and get a luxury hotel. I made the mistake of thinking you need a tour to get around the Galapagos. Once there, I found out that’s only true if you plan to take a long cruise. This tour you stay on Santa Cruz and take day trips. You can easily book day trips yourself once you get there. It’ll not only be considerably cheaper, but also MUCH better value. We had one extra day when we weren’t on this crappy tour and booked a day trip ourselves that was the best Galapagos experience (snorkeling with sharks, lunch served on boat, wet suit included, fishing for tuna), much better than the trips this tour took us on at a fraction of the cost. Don’t book this tour. And TripAdvisor, if you’re reading this you should remove them from your site.
- 123robertochb00Once again guys, Thank you for everything! We had the best experience with BM tours planning our trip to Galapagos Islands. Their customer service and hospitality was outstanding. Once again thank you very much guys for everything.
- 752NK00A wonderful day outWell organised. Attentive guide, with lots of knowledge. Exceptional wildlife on land and snorkelling. Playful sea lions while snorkeling were great. The food was plentiful and excellent. Would worry about the size of the boat on a more choppy crossing. Fortunately we had an extremely comfortable ride. Wetsuits were included in the snorkelling gear which not all companies offer, and were very appreciated.
- jcubed_la00Tour provider doesn't promptly book activityOn 27-Feb-2019 for I booked a full day Bartolome Island & Sullivan Bay tour for 13-Mar-2019. I received a notification from BM Tours 11-Mar-2019 that they had to cancel my booking. I went to a number of tour operators on Santa Cruz Island and they were unable to book me for a full day Bartolome Island tour. They all told me that ALL of the Bartolome Island land tours were booked. Clearly BM Tours did NOT book my activity when I paid them, but waited until a few days beforehand to do so. And when they couldn't book the activity, they canceled my booking which necessarily ruined my vacation.
- Avery L00Avoid at all costsSave your yourself time, stress, and money by never booking with this company. They don’t care about their customers and the service shows. I booked a 5-day Galapagos tour and got food poisoning the day of my flight. When I called BM they told me that I had to get on the flight... as I was throwing up. I had to beg them to reschedule my tours, and when they finally did, I realized that they actually just canceled 3/5 tours with no compensation. When I asked for an extra night in Isabella to make up for the canceled tours, they refused and were extremely rude. I ended up leaving most of the events and getting new tours because they refused to help. They still have not offered any time of refund or additional service, so I am unsure of where my money went after they canceled my tours. On the one snorkeling tour that I had scheduled for 8am, I waited for 45 minutes until someone showed up to tell me that the operator forgot and it would now be at 10am. BM did not apologize for this or offer a solution. Never use this company and be careful booking on sites offering tours to make sure that they are not being offered by BM tours.
- Angelina W00Amazing tour, but Overcharged by double on Trip AdvisorThe full day Bartolome tour was amazing. The tour bus picked us up from the hotel and drove us to the other side of Santa Cruz Island which took an hour. We hopped on a beautiful yacht and were served a great breakfast to start the day. Hours later we arrived in Bartolome Island to hike the volcano with a tour guide who pointed out fascinating ecological and geographical information with much enthusiasm. We then snorkeled with the Galápagos penguins. The day was just amazing. Upon returning, I started talking to people on the boat. They all said that they paid $180 for the tour. I was in complete shock bc I had paid $328 (almost double what they paid for the exact same boat, lunch and tour). I could not understand why I paid double the cost of an average ticket, especially when Viator (Trip advisor) guaranteed the “low price” on their website, and I contacted Viator when I got home. Viator would not issue me a refund for the difference. I have used Viator many times in the past as I travel often, and I have never been overcharged by so much. This was very disappointing. Do not use Viator to purchase any tours from the galapagos. You can go to the island and get these tours from local tour agencies for much cheaper than any price they post. Do not believe the “low price guarantee”! That was just a slap in the face after paying double the cost for my Bartolome tour.
- peterN7456HQ00Dissapointing !!Took a Galapagos tour with them. It was very badly organized from the start. These guys are based in the mainland and have no presence on the ground. They sub-contract out to small operators or freelance guides on the islands, some of them barely speak any English. Expect late pick-ups from hotel/ airport, or even no shows. These guys make a huge cut, probably 30 % or even more just running the show remotely. Our tour was so badly organised, communication was almost non-existent. Sometimes we learnt about the day's itinerary in the morning when the guide comes for the pickup. Even the hotel staff was very sympathetic and offered to arrange our tours if we ever visited Galapagos again.

This was the first thing we did the day after traveling >24 hrs to arrive to the Galapagos. It was the perfect activity since it was half a day and we were jet lagged.
Our guide was Manuel, and he was knowledgeable, funny, and spoke to us in English after explaining things to the rest of the boat in Spanish. We saw blue-footed boobies, sharks, sea lions, and marine iguanas. The highlight was Las Grietas, which was extremely beautiful cold/refreshing water to snorkel and see fish. I'd recommend having good shoes that can get wet and also hike on dirt/rocks (like keens or chacos) since there were a couple spots where we got out of the boat to walk to a site.

Make sure to not book with this company. They promise you a boat with a bathroom and then the boat was a very small boat that was dangerous to take out in choppy waters. It of course did not have a bathroom. We booked an English speaking guide and the guide barely spoke any English and he complained to the entire boat that he would have to also explain the tour in English and not just Spanish. They blamed us for being 40 minutes late to arrive on the island. But it was actually the same company's ferry that we booked that was late to arrive to the island. We recommend you do not book with this company at all.

Please make sure to read the other reviews. They promise you something and then you get something completely different. They also charge you way more than if you were to wait and book on the island directly with another company. As another review mentions, they also charge the locals way way less than they charge you online for the same exact tour. BEWARE. I was just on the island and I ended up going with another company since the boat was a very small boat as all the other reviews mention. The guide was also not the best. I recommend you book with another company or wait until you arrive on the island.

We really enjoyed this tour of sites near Puerto Ayora. The naturalist guide was very informative and seemed genuinely interested in sharing his love of all the wonderful animals and plant life that make the Galapagos unique. We were delighted to get up close with huge male marine iguanas, resting black tip reef sharks and beautiful blue-footed boobies.

Boat was the size of a water taxi and entry was difficult. Tour was limited to 3 stops very near the harbor which were not what we expected. Our cost through Trip Advisor was far higher than others paid (we paid $75 each; others paid $30 each.) We question whether we were on the right boat. Driver and tour guide did a great job with limited itinerary.

Guayaquil is on mainland Ecuador and an additional flight will be needed to get to Galapagos as they are 600 miles offshore.
