Welcome to Medellín, the city of eternal spring; We were reborn from the ashes to now become one of the most innovative and inclusive cities in the world, the birthplace of great artists and wonderful people. The objective of our tour of Medellín is to raise awareness among our visitors about the cultural, social and technological evolution that occurred here. Demonstrate the resilience of the Antioquian people, during their darkest times. In this great tour we will visit Comuna 13 (grafiti tour), to learn about its history and social development, we will also be able to take a helicopter flight through the urban area, to see the best perspective of Medellín. We will also visit a replica of a typical town in Antioquia (Pueblito paisa), where we will have a beautiful view of the city. To add more value, we will go to the Pablo Escobar neighborhood, one of the most controversial personalities in our history. We will finally return to the hotel to take a well-deserved rest.

Communication the day before was clear and concise. Getting to see the Escobar mansion ruins and ATV around the property was really cool. We did the paintball, but just for target practice and it was fun (but hot with all the gear). Boat trip on the lake was kinda short but very beautiful. Lunch was very tasty and high quality (out of pocket, as noted). Piedra Penol is a pretty easy climb if you’re in reasonable shape and such great views - really gives you a full perspective on how beautiful Guatapé is. Highly recommend this trip. It’s a matter of preference and what you’re able/willing to spend…but I was so happy to be on a private tour versus all the overpacked boats with blaring music we saw on the lake. 🤷🏽♂️Written January 25, 2025

I fell in love with Guatape and Colombia. We got picked up at our hotel and Felipe’s hospitality was simply amazing. We had a flawless meetup with our guide Steven in front of Guatapé's central church and an easy speedboat ride to Pablo Escobar's bombed out mansion, La Manuela. Our ATV guide there was Paula, and she did a fantastic job taking us on a tour of the property and making different stops to give us exciting context and answer our many questions about Escobar's complicated history. Our paintball guide Freddy was excellent too and we loved playing Capture the Colombian Flag! He offered us full overalls, vests, and gloves for playing, which we appreciated. This tour is fantastic. The helicopter flight through the city of Medellin is the best way to appreciate it from above. Comuna 13 is a very fun place where we were able to learn more about the history. We also visited the Pablo museum, a quite place curious to know more about his life. The attention from our Guides was excellent and the food delicious.

We visited Medellin for our vacation and we were lucky enough to travel with Ecoexperience. The attention of the entire team was fantastic, always attentive to our needs. The helicopter flight over Medellín was beautiful, a memorable experience for our lives.
