If given the opportunity to visit Columbia, do not leave without visiting El Penol and Guatape. Our tour guide Johan first took us to El Penon, here I purchased all my souvenirs. Then El Penol rock, which is a steep huge rock with 740 steps that are in a switchback pattern. It is definitely a challenge to walk up but is DOABLE and looks a lot more intimidating than what it really is. It literally only took me about 20 minutes to reach the top with minimal rest. The view when you reach the top are absolutely breathtaking. You can purchase drinks at the top of the mountain and there are chairs and tables for you to relax and enjoy the view. Coming back down was a breeze, however the stairs can be steep and narrow so please be mindful of the people in front of you. Our next stop was the Plazoleta de los Zocalos colorful town of Guatape. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Such a vivid town, full of nice friendly people. After the tour he took us to an authenticate Colombian restaurant, which was absolutely delicious. I brought the basics with me on this tour. Which was money, camera stabilizer, small makeup bag with essentials, tissues and sunglasses. I saw some people bring backpacks with them which probably contained a whole load of survival items, but the only thing that I would advise to bring (that I wish I brought) is hand sanitizer. And of course CASH, please keep in mind the people of these tourist towns survive on tourism. Everything is already so inexpensive, cash for tips and souvenirs is a must. My husband and I were very pleased to have booked with Parchatours. First of all they accommodated our LAST MINUTE tour AND modified the tour to fit our agenda. It was our last full day in Medellin and we wanted to maximize our time. Our tour guide Jonah was punctual and very knowledgable. The drive to Guatape is rather long (approximately 1.5-2 hours) from Medellin and he entertained us with historical facts and made us feel very comfortable. He even went above and beyond and took us to a place to buy good coffee. By the end of the tour we def felt like we made a friend with Jonah. Although time is definitely a factor when touring, we never felt stressed. It was a very enjoyable and memorable last day for us. I would definitely recommend this Parchatours. I find it much more memorable having a tour guide with us because part of the experience is getting the knowledge and facts, it makes the experience more memorable.

Due to unforseen circumstances I had to go to Medellín sooner than planned and thank God I found Parcha Tours, because not did they only give me one of the most beautiful City Tours in Medellín(amazing views/scenery and a guide that knows everything you need to know about Medellín)they also recommended the Charlee hotel in Medellín and this was the best hotel I stayed in during my South America trip. Everything about it was great, the room, the restaurant and the staff! Definitely going back for a longer stay this time!

Because of the first great experience I had with Parchatours in Medellín (Pablo Escobar tour and Guatapé tour) I decided to try them in Cartagena also (later even in Panamá). I had a private City Tour in Cartagena with an English speaking guide that could tell me all about the amazing history of the beautiful Cartagena. I had a great time and learned a lot. It was a 4 hour tour but it went by so fast, I guess time really flies when you are having fun :).

I went with Parchatours to do a citrus farm tour. Just the house with tastefully decorated rooms and beautiful pool was already worth the trip. The staff makes you feel like you are part of their family. Enjoyed a delicious, traditional home made lunch, chilled a bit at the pool and then went for the hike and tour around the farm. Beautiful views, especially during sunset. I did the day tour, but will definitely do a couple of days stay next time I visit. Best tour I had in Colombia so far....

This was an amazing experience. Parcha tours took me to the Pablo tour and Guatapé tour. The host was very knowledgeable about the tours and provided me with so much knowledge. It was truly an amazing experience. We also went to some great restaraunts and tasted traditional Colombian food. I am looking forward to going back.

Myself and my friend got picked up at our hostel by Parcha Tours at 9am, not sure what to expect and knowing that Pablo Escobar tours are not widely respected by the locals of Medellin , our tour guide , Johann, put us at ease immediately by explaining how bad and evil Pablo truly was, from going to where he was shot, to his burial ground and also to his self-built prison (La Catedral), Johann only mentioned how bad he was and mentioned his victims a lot. The tour was full of insight and knowledge that only a local would have , throughouly enjoyable and I would advise everyone to go on this tour with Parcha Tours. I definitely finished the tour with more understanding of the relationship between Pablo and the people of Medellin. 10/10

I came to see and experience Colombia with a buddy of mine. Coming from Alaska there’s always misconception of Colombia. But with out a doubt I’m glad we booked Parcha tours! We were able to see what so many people don’t see because they are just not open to ideas or new things. Comuna 13 was nothing but beautiful and colorful. The rock in guatape sends energies that we tend to ignore but in guatape you can’t with the beautiful surroundings you get from being lost in your surroundings. Parcha tours are very wel knowledged with speaking English and of course Spanish. I think I enjoyed when we would all come together after our trips and eat and talk about what we liked most. Bandeja paisa is a must if you think you can eat a lot. I would recommend Parcha tours for anything your wanting to do in Colombia and will be visiting soon again.

The Parcha Tour was recommended to me by my friend from Germany . on 14Jan2019 I spent the entire day with this company tour guy. He picked me up at the hotel and we started the tour with visiting the chirldhood of Pablo Escobar and seeing the building Monaco where he grow up, one of the building where he was hiding after running away from Cathedral,the soccer stadium that Pablo built as a gift for the kids , the cenemotory, the Cathedral itself ( he chose as a Jail) and finally the family house museum held by his youngest brother Roberto Escobar - Peluchi on his 72 year birth day. The tour was well organized and detailed with comfortable drive. I liked it a lot and I would recommend to purchase this and/ or other tours with Parcha to anybody. The museum is full of documents and original furniture, personal cars , motocyclez and the sport bike that belong to Roberto Escobar who was ar time very famous biker and sportsman . Lots of history . I can say for sure that it was one of best tours in my life.

My friend and I went to Cololmbia and hired Parcha Tours to take us around and show us the sites. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it came out. Parcha Tours was extremely hospitable, informational, and humble all in one. Our guide brought us to places that simply amazed me, and every place we went we got some background and history behind the scenes. My favorite tour we did was to Guatape where we climbed that insane rock with like a thousand stairs lmao. The countryside was simply beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore Colombia!

My buddy and I found the riddled Parcha tours on the Internet. 1 day with Parcha Tours was Pablo escobar/comuna 13. That was probably one of the coolest trip I was ever gonna be on in my life. 2 days was guatapé + Both trip to La Manuela, one of more than a 500 Pablo Escobar's property. Parcha tours give us a amazing days of wonderful experience and good food. If you want to party, you can also make sure that you get to the cool parts of Medellin. I can definitely recommend Parcha Tours if you want to experience Medellin.
