Very different and exciting night tour!
This was one of the most exciting city tours I've done in Colombia. Our guide took us to downtown Medellin at night, which was exhilarating for me since everyone knows the downtown area is not safe for tourists at night time! If this is a concern to you, I recommend you don't partake in this particular tour. However, if you're open-minded and are willing to take the risk, something like this can turn out to be a lot of fun! We ended up having drinks on some street downtown with nothing but locals hang out. I did not see a single tourist in that area, and it was just great! We got to ride the metro at night which was also exciting! I will admit, this type of activity is not for everyone, but if do this with an open mind, you might end up having a lot of fun! 5 out of 5 stars from me!

A tour you don't want to miss!
My husband and I got married in Colombia and we took our families out on the Pasado, Presente y Futuro tour to learn about Comuna 13. It was an absolutely incredible experience and we had about 13 people in our group. They coordinated transportation for us and our Tour Guide, Santiago, was an AMAZING guide and even a better story teller! He shared his own lived experience and allowed us to truly engage in meaningful conversations. Santi and the rest of the NOMAD team made us feel taken care of and ensured we enjoyed our time together. Whether you are looking to do this trip solo or with a group, I strongly recommend NOMAD. They were excellent and extremely flexible to fit our needs.

Kite trip around the north of Colombia
Rented the RV for a trip around the north part of the country. We did 2,200+ km without any problem. The host provided clear information regarding the use of the RV and checked on us every other day.

      Excellent experience!
Nomad Travel was easy to schedule & book with! Furthermore, the response time was phenomenal! ✅ Andres was a hospitable, respectful, & good-natured tour guide (who was truly a Columbian native)! 💯 He is an individual who is down-to-earth that wants to show you the unique parts of Medellín that you may have never known or stumbled upon. He is very knowledgeable and a personable individual that wants to see you have a great time! He is both fluent in English and Spanish. I'm very fortunate to have found him. I highly recommend the "One Night In the Center of Medellín", "Explore Guatapé", & "Paragliding". If you're looking for a great tour guide, give Andres a try!

      Solo tour
An overall great experience for a single guy with an adventurous spirit or for friends, couples & families. Tour guide was great, especially exploring the central plaza and comuna13. First time trying an Arepa was a phenomenal experience as well. Will definitely come back!

      Amazing evening!
I reached out to Andres on very short notice and he was kind enough to arrange a private evening culture tour of the city. He was a pleasure to learn from and showed my friend parts of the city that he would’ve never seen. Andres was accommodating and funny and really made my friends night.

      Best tour we had yet.
Best tour we‘ve had so far! Andres is an amazing guy which is super friendly and has an incredible amount of knowledge of his hometown Medellin that he shared during his tour through Comuna 13 with us. He took us to amazing spots and we felt very save the entire time. The cherry on top of course is the cute dog Chepa that accompanies the tour.

Wonderful trip to town center Friday evening
Wow, what an experience! We started off with a drink from a rooftop bar in the town center (not part of the original itinerary but we all chose to do this) with a great view of the city and allowing the group to get a chance to get acquainted better with each other. Then we embarked on our journey of exploring the Centro neighborhood, hanging out at the square where Bohemians, artists, and people from all walks of life were congregated and simply having fun! Then we went went to a gallery/bar watching live rap performance and meeting Andre's friends. All the places where Andre took us felt very safe and was exciting at the same time - so much so that even after the official tour ended at 11 pm we didn't leave the area until 2 am! If you want to get a real flavor of a part of the city and the people you would normally not get to know as a visitor I would recommend going on this experience and finding out another reason that makes this city so special. In my week long stay in Medellin this was clearly the highlight of my trip!

The hike far exceeded expectations... highly recommended!
Was such a great hike with Andres through the most beautiful trail with incredible, lush scenery the entire way. The swim at the waterfall at the end was so much fun and we had it all to ourselves on a sunny Saturday morning, ayo! Andre was an awesome guide through it all and made the hike super interesting with great, knowledgeable conversation. Highly recommended!

      Amazing graffiti tour!
We did the grafitti tour through communal 13. It was really interesting, a good mixture of history about the quarter and some delicious local stuff. Thanks for the great experience!

Tour guide, arrangements and attention to details are just few highlights of the trip. Thank you for taking care of all our requests during the trip. Key differentiator ... English speaking which is extremely hard to find in Colombia.

My tour guide Gabriel gave this amazing tour during my first week in Medellin. I enjoyed some buñuelos downtown and local fruit from the marketplace before heading up to El Faro, where the graffiti was very artistic. Oscar, one of the local community leaders, along with his dogs joined us and told his story as we trekked to the top of the mountain to see a spectacular view of the city. Absolutely recommend.

This is the best tour I’ve ever been on. I highly recommend booking any of Andrés experiences. Very unique and original. Away from tourist traps and a way to see a different side of Medellín. There is nothing else like it. Meeting at El Poblado metro station was very convenient. Andres also helped me get back to my hostel at the end which is very much appreciated. I loved the steep bus ride to get to El Faro and seeing the local neighborhoods. The view from cerro pan de azucar was amazing and worth the hike. All around perfect experience. Book it now!

Andre’s was by far the best tour guide I’ve had the chance to encounter. As you can see I never really rate services but I could not help and give him and his company a raving review! We did a full day tour of Guatape and did not felt rushed whatsoever. He gave us all the information we need and also let us decide which part of the tour we wanted to do. Which was refreshing because alot of times during your typical tour there is just a structure of activites and youre herd around like cattle! Secondly, Andreś helped us even book a coffee tour that his business did not do but found an excellent company that did. He truly gave us a genuine, exciting, and informational tour! Thank you! Highly recommend Andreś and his company NOMAD!

We have been to Medellin many times and have done almost all of the typical touristy stuff. This tour definitely offered something different. Andres was well organized and the whole day was extremely well planned and coordinated. We saw many parts of Medellin we had not seen before. We took the tram and visited the oldest covered market which were both very interesting, and then visited Communa 8 and climbed the mountain for a magnificent view of the city. .Andres brought in community leaders to explain how they lived and the difficulties they were facing and how they were trying to better their community. It was all very interesting and informative, and not something you would see on a typical tour. Andes was friendly and informative and obviously very committed to being socially responslible. Bring water, its a bit of a hike, but well worth it. It was a very enjoyable day

In November, my boyfriend and I participated in the "Medellin through the farmers' eyes" tour led by Andrés, and it truly ended up being one of our trip highlights. If you’re looking for an experience that is authentically “off the beaten path,” exposes you to unique facts and breath-taking views of the city, and brings you closer to the heart and soul of Medellín, this is it. Andrés’ enthusiasm and expertise of Medellín’s history and current social dynamics was clear from the beginning. What made the experience especially stand out was his genuine connection to the communities you meet and spend time with on the tour — this gave our super welcoming and informative immersion an even more personal touch. Because Andrés has a strong relationship and mutual respect with these communities, it was a very interactive tour and we got to learn firsthand stories about the farmers’ and community’s struggles, values, and projects. I was impressed and grateful Andrés showed us perspectives you guaranteed won’t normally come across in a conventional tour, or a museum. This is his passion, and he does it well. If you want to be inspired by Medellín at a deeply local level, I highly recommend this hands on, one of a kind experience.
